You’re planning a trip to palawan you’re most likely going to be flying into the city of Redfield possesseth so we decided to create this travel guide for those of you that have a quick layover here in the green city but first off you have to realize how massive what the
Princesa actually is it’s the largest city in all of the Philippines behind devout just hours outside the city there are several activities that you can do Asia’s largest water park is here you can take an adventure to the underground river or if you have at least one day
Here you can take a boat tour out in honda bag we don’t have that much time here so we’re going to show you exactly what you can do in the downtown city itself and one day let’s go Our first stop of the day and one that’s very close to our hotel is a place called Plaza Wat south this used to be a base used by American and Filipino soldiers until the Japanese invaded that’s when a hundred and fifty American soldiers prisoners of war were held captive and essentially
Tortured eventually killed by being burned alive in tunnels however eleven of them managed to escape by swimming away rumor has it they left through another end of the tunnel others say that they swam to another Island but they’re currently now buried the remains of them back in Missouri admission at
This place is completely free you can’t go into the underground tunnels but you can see them through bars here Current day this place is used as a part and also a memorial so it’s a great place to come pay your respects and cool off because the entire area is covered by trees there’s also a few ghost stories that I’ve heard floating around on the internet people that say that
They’ve heard change dragging and Japanese voices things like that so it also gives it a little bit of a mysterious creepy element but not in the daytime it’s nice out here right now yeah if you’re planning to go to Baywatch definitely make a point to come
Here it’s not too far at all so you can get a little bit of history before you plan to go relax down for a walk two birds one stone something like that really up our alley is a craft beer brewery and what’s really special about it is that it isn’t
By women only which makes it the only brewery that does that in the entire Philippines the name of its palaweno brewery and the visiting hours are Monday through Saturday 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. if you’re trying to see women who are revolutionising the craft beer game here in the Philippines and making
Major moves definitely put this on your list when in the city I’m from the Millennial jewelry and or the first female Brewers episode even you know this by the way new brewery scene in existence first in five years and is having a blast here we just recently open our follow anybody
Lila and I hope you guys started out there and the beer is delicious you have to make sure you put it on your bucket list we have five ready yourselves and then you do one special everyone so right now we have the mangoes yeah and we heard that everything was grown off
The mango tree right here is that correct Did we mention they also make rum here which means coconut this one is that we begun by the light dinners kind of been looking and helping them out say great time hanging out with the ladies sharing some drinks – laughs but we’re a little strapped for cash so because we’re
Princesa is probably where you’re initially flying into on palawan this is where you’re gonna want to exchange your money now the island is covered in banks and certain money exchanges but we’re going to show you the best spot to do it this Western Union I know it sounds a
Little bit fishy but I swear to God that had the best rates of everywhere we went it was also a s money exchanger which is a little bit down on Brazil Avenue but this Western II on the corner of Burgos and Rizzo had the best race
When you go in don’t just check the little sign that’s there you’re gonna ask them to exchange rate it’s always different so for the most up-to-date rate ask a few more things when exchanging money you’ll want to pay attention to the bills they give you the Philippines is updated their currency by
Switching the stamp on the bill from yellow to blue if you’re handed a yellow bill properly deny it now this Western unions minimum exchange transaction starts at 100 US dollars you can change less than $100 at other money exchange houses you can also always opt for an
ATM but as you probably know there usually involves an ATM fee of around $5 per transaction a bank fee and another small fee for who knows what if you’re planning on bringing cash be aware that some places will not take dollar bills if they have drawings or markings on
Them this little twenty dollar withdrawal ended up costing us 2946 after all the damage was done avoid ATMs for small transactions make them worth the fees when taking out cash so we got some money and now we’re headed to dinner had a really popular area called bay walk if you’re wondering
How to get around the city’s actually walkable but there is a more popular way of getting around it’s called a tricycle they’re extremely popular affordable and readily available the normal going rate is ten pesos per person for the first two kilometers it’s like riding in a motorcycle sidecar And this is big walk it’s actually where we started this morning and where the video started in the morning some people will come here and exercise and at night time around dusk it really transitions into the place to be there are kids learning how to ride their bike people bring their families
Here and everyone just kind of hangs out the areas lines with certain vendors selling cotton candy popcorn but the star of the show is all these restaurants lined up and most of them serve Bodil style which is a family style Filipino way of serving the food and that’s exactly what we’re going to
Have tonight If you’re in the Philippines should definitely seek out a moto style dinner lost not always served on a banana Lee this is a typical fee style setting that checks off that mark on your I’ve been to the Philippines roster some eat it with their hands some eat it with a spoon
Suit yourself now in the bay walk there’s several options that you can hit Jen and I have been to a few and our favorite one is Kobe’s this boat’ll is a huge mound of rice it comes with growth fish strength eggplant okra barbecue pork grilled squid mussel soup
Fruit and the ever so strange lap Oh which reminds me of VX poison gas alpha movie the rock if you’ve ever seen that really elegant string of pearls configuration you enjoyed the small of your back it’s the poison seizes your nervous system do not move that and not to
Forget our vegan and vegetarian friends quarter princesa also has options for you on our favorite vegan vegetarian friendly restaurant was the mascot it was clean tasty extremely affordable go there another change of pace is Chalong it’s a Filipino take on a Vietnamese classic and while it’s not exactly the
Same it’s equally as popular and the locals are all about it the best place we found was bonus – longhouse it’s an outdoor style seating some break bug spread you’re susceptible and get ready for good food now we know that there’s a lot of different other options on port
The Princesa but we’re only covering the boat over tonight so if you’re aware of them do everybody else a favor drop it in the comments help other people out anyway this is the best way to close out our day here port the Princesa it’s been real And rolling And speed

Largest city by area but with a very small population. While our smallest cities are tiny but have more than a million in population. That's the Philippines for you.
I love Puerto Princesa and El Nido 🙂
Thanks! It's a quick tour and walking distance
Love you feature my town..your new friend from Palawan
I used to live in the refugee camp in this beautiful island Palawan from 1982-1986 before immigrated to Canada . The camp is not far from the airport and just beside the beach . I used to go swimming almost everyday . I can’t wait to come back to visit , Hopefully end of this year .
Thank you for this video. I was in Olongapo and Manila 35 years ago, how is English fluency on that island?
Just got back from Puerta Princessa and visited the sites you mentioned in your video. Happy we saw them except sad news about the four women running and operating the brewery. The original owner passed away two years ago and one other moved on to something else. Only two women are running the business and because of Covid, the business almost went under. A lot of bags of yeast were lost and now they are trying to get help from the government to get a loan. I hope they make it because the beer was good. Thanks for the rest of the information, it was helpful.
I commented on your vid 2 months ago hoping I could make the trip and now I just bought my tickets going to visit Manila and Palawan end of this year. It is happening and I m ecstatic.
Thanks for your video .
Woow… thanks guys for the tour… soon, i will visit that city
Planning to go there this year. How's the internet connection in there? Is it good for those working online?

Visit House of Siam in Burgos St for Thai food!
I wonder if these two every read any literature. Such prosaic information. And where does the woman come from with that accent? Harsh and immaterial. My apologies.
American soldiers are always injured 😂😂😂😂 Native Indians will confirm this
3:03 all female owned brewery
Get a Schwab investor checking account. They refund all ATM fees

What scenario would you have a "lay over" in Palawan?
