Hello everybody! Hope you’re having a great day.Ā  I am having an exhausting day because I flewĀ Ā  10 hours straight to Osaka. That’s where I’m at –Ā  Osaka, Japan. We landed at about 6:45 pm and nowĀ Ā

By the time you check in and do customs andĀ  everything, get your currency, get your SIM card, itĀ Ā  is like 9 something and we have to wake up superĀ  early at 5:00 in the morning to go to Universal.Ā Ā

So we’ll see how that goes. But I am starving. WeĀ  didn’t have dinner so we’re going to go look forĀ Ā  dinner. I’m here with Mr. Aiden and it’s his firstĀ  time besides Mexico at an international area. SoĀ Ā

Let’s check this place out. I have never been toĀ  Japan. I’ve only stopped at the Kansai InternationalĀ Ā  Airport and Narita twice just for a layover, butĀ  never actually stepped out of here. So we’re goingĀ Ā

To try to get some yakiniku and then try all theĀ  other stuff on another day. We’re here only for 4 days. There’s that famous crab place. We gotĀ  reservations, but we have to go to anotherĀ Ā  town. They have multiple sites here andĀ  they were all booked. But that’s prettyĀ Ā

Cool. Hey there’s banh mi and a VietnameseĀ  flag. I like that. Alright, we made it.Ā Ā  We actually found it. It was downstairsĀ  next door and here’s some of the stuff.Ā Ā  We’ve got skirt steak, raw beef, tenderloin,Ā  some weird stuff like tongue and tripe. Ā Ā

We got to go to bed soon. So we’re going toĀ  just get some…probably some skirt steak orĀ Ā  some kind of ribeye or steak or whatever andĀ  grill it up and eat it. We’ve also got like aĀ Ā  lot of vegetables and stuff right here. Cabbage,Ā  onions, garlic, mushrooms, corn. Oh they also have

Kimchi and of course the beer and shochu. High balls.Ā  And I’m sure some sake. For starters we have theĀ Ā  Asahi Super Dry of course, and I’m not sure whatĀ  this is but it’s like a little appetizer sheĀ Ā

Brought out. It looks like shitake mushrooms orĀ  something and then we have the sauces and theĀ Ā  grill and some beef fat. I guess to oil up theĀ  grill. The beef fats over here and your dippingĀ Ā  sauce. This yakiniku…I’ll put…try to put theĀ  addresses of places we go to. If you’re interestedĀ Ā

In coming here, it is one of the only ones open for aĀ  popular eating street. We’re in Dontonburi, which isĀ Ā  the popular walking street with the riverfront.Ā  Our hotel is right there. We’ll give you someĀ Ā  information on that later on as well because peopleĀ  seem to be interested in the accommodations andĀ Ā

The price. But we’ll put the address there. ThisĀ  is one of the only 24-hour establishments. SorryĀ Ā  got interrupted. He served us our plate. But allĀ  the places here surprisingly close at 9:00 p.m. SoĀ Ā

It’s quite early for a big city anyway. So let’sĀ  get to the food. So I’m not sure which one’s whichĀ Ā  because it’s labeled in Japanese, but we ordered someĀ  ribeye and also some Kobe beef because when you’reĀ Ā

Here you might as well try it out. The portionsĀ  are quite small, but we’re not not too hungryĀ Ā  because we ate on the plane. But I just wanted to eatĀ  something since we didn’t have dinner before weĀ Ā

Head to bed. Just to get over this jet leg. ThisĀ  seems to be the Kobe beef though because it’s super fatty. I don’t even know. They don’t tell youĀ  what to do. So are you supposed to put this fatĀ Ā

On here? I have no clue. Alright let’s tasteĀ  this appetizer whatever it is. There. There we go. No it’s not mushrooms. It’s actualĀ  beef and some of it looks like offal orĀ Ā  the parts you don’t like. I’m not sure, but itĀ  tastes good. It’s very beefy. A little hint of

Sweetness. If you’re Korean, it kind ofĀ  tastes like a less soy type jangjorim.Ā Ā  That dish…it’s a Korean skirt steak beef that’s kind of simmered until it’s tender. Really good. And then here rice doesĀ  not come with your meal. So you got to orderĀ Ā

It. But it’s only um 300 Yen. So not too bad. Alright, so this is our vegetable. Kind of like aĀ Ā  medley. Got some shitake mushrooms. Well,Ā  I thought it supposed to have corn tooĀ Ā  but I guess mistranslation. Maybe it’sĀ  each, but it was together. I thought it wasĀ Ā

Corn, shitake, and garlic. But only gave us mushrooms,Ā  but that’s fine. They’re really meaty. Look at that. Alright let’s taste this beef. Wow! It just melts in your mouth. It’s likeĀ  so fatty. Wow, it’s good. Definitely hasĀ Ā

To be the to Kobe beef. That was amazing. Now I’m confused. I’m like was this theĀ Ā  ribeye that I ordered? I have no clue because thatĀ  did not look like ribeye. But we didn’t get ourĀ Ā  ribeye yet. It’s kind of interesting being inĀ  a country where there’s a language barrier.Ā Ā

But I’m having fun so far. There’s no knives soĀ  hopefully I can bite through it, but this is the sauce. It’s like sweet, sesame, but kind of has aĀ  little spice to it, but not too spicy. Here’s the shitake mushroom.

So fresh and meaty. I’ve never really had fresh shitakeĀ  mushrooms and these are super fresh andĀ Ā  they remind me of portabella mushrooms.Ā  Like a really baby one. A tiny one. Not asĀ Ā  strong of a flavor though as a Portabella. I’veĀ  only had mostly dried shitake mushrooms thatĀ Ā

Are reconstituted. So these fresh ones areĀ  really delicious. Really good. Alright, soĀ Ā  he did say…I asked…the guy said thatĀ  the first one was Kobe beef and this isĀ Ā  ribeye. But damn, look at that fat content.Ā  I would think this is like Kobe or wagyu.

Alright so I got the ribeye. It did come. SoĀ  that’s what it looks like. Dipped it in some sauce. Oh man that’s definitely like butter.Ā  That just…your teeth just cut right through it.Ā Ā  And you can feel that fattiness. Damn that’sĀ  good. Wow. I’ve never tasted beef like that

Before. That literally just melts inĀ  your mouth. I mean here…I’m probablyĀ Ā  being rude with my hands but it just tearsĀ  apart. Just wow. Amazing first dinner here. But I’m totally tired. I have one more bite ofĀ  beef and we’re going to go head up to our roomĀ Ā

And go to bed and we’ll see you tomorrow. BeforeĀ  we go to bed right next to our hotel is this andĀ Ā  I find it funny. That’s very, very coincidental.Ā  But that was a great meal. So good night again for the second time and see you tomorrow.Ā

Alright so it is like 5:40 in the morning andĀ Ā  with the jet lag and the weird timing…I don’t know. IĀ  got used to Vietnam very well, but this is aĀ Ā  little ahead of Vietnam. A couple of hours. So itĀ  is about 10:40 am something at home. So it feels likeĀ Ā

I’m oversleeping because I usually wake up at 3:45Ā  a.m. at home. So I was kind of still in bed awakeĀ Ā  naturally even though I was tired. But we’re goingĀ  to go, we’re up early because we’re going to go toĀ Ā

7-Eleven, which is right next door to our hotel.Ā  It’s very convenient. There’s also a Lawson’s afterĀ Ā  that. We went there last night to get some drinksĀ  and some snacks. But we’re going to get a quickĀ Ā

Breakfast. A lot of things I looked up don’t openĀ  until 9:00 a.m. here because they start the workĀ Ā  day later than in the US. So 7-Eleven is 24 hours.Ā  Going to get like maybe sandwich or somethingĀ Ā  then we’re going to head on to the subway toĀ  go to Universal Studios. It is recommendedĀ Ā

You go there an hour before opening because asĀ  Japanese people are, they’re very efficient andĀ Ā  they open earlier than the opening time.Ā  So we’re here in 7-Eleven. It is quite tinier thanĀ Ā  the 7-Eleven at home, but they have all the goodĀ  stuff. I mean even though it’s compact they gotĀ Ā

Everything. And it looks so good. And last nightĀ  they were doing something fried. It smelt likeĀ Ā  fried chicken and it smelled so good. And it’s aĀ  little bit early. They even have like prosciutto looking stuff. Soybeans, salads, soba, like a mentaiko type of pasta. They got some kimchi. Interesting.Ā

Alright we’re going to go get some drinks. HopeĀ  you can hear me because we’re going to UniversalĀ Ā  and I don’t want to carry too many things. SoĀ  I didn’t attach my mic to my camera. We’re justĀ Ā

Using the regular mic. But yeah you can see allĀ  the different ochas – the teas. Water, they’ve gotĀ Ā  Coke. And not too much of a Coke section. Just Coke,Ā  Coke plus, K-wave whatever that means. I think it’s aĀ Ā

K-pop type of thing. Orange juice. It’s made by AsahiĀ  too and some apple Fanta. I think I’ll get theĀ Ā  orange juice. I’m not sure if I want it though.Ā  I’m a coffee person. Maybe I should justĀ Ā  grab it in case. We got like a calpico typeĀ  of thing. That creamy yogurt drink. Japanese

Monsters. This is what I want. coffee.Ā  Now, that’s what we’re talking about. GotĀ  some Starbucks here, the famous Boss brand, Georgia Coffee, all that good stuff.Ā  Oh look there’s noodle…that is interesting.Ā Ā  Stir fried noodles with a hot dog bun andĀ  corn in a hot dog bun. I think I’ll pass on that.

Oh they got like pancakes withĀ  syrup already embedded into it. A Japanese cheesecake. So we’re in our hotel. I’m goingĀ  to do it now because it’s super empty. But here atĀ Ā  the Sotetsu Grand Fresa, we got faceĀ  wash, toothbrush and toothpaste, razors, showerĀ Ā

Caps, free brushes, even these little disposableĀ  plastic brushes, Q-tips, cotton balls, hair gel.Ā Ā  They say hair wax. Coffee, sugar, honey tea, allĀ  kind of green tea, Matcha tea. And you can takeĀ Ā  it and down here that’s where you check inĀ  too. It was super fast. There’s a whole bunchĀ Ā

Of self checkins with computers. You can scanĀ  your passport. There’s a vending machine hereĀ Ā  and bathrooms. On floor number 2 and 10 I believeĀ  there is laundry facilities. Here you can grabĀ Ā  your own robe and some pants and there’s aĀ  buffet right here in the morning. Pretty cool

Hotel. We’re on the ninth floor and it isĀ  reasonably cheap. It was only… I think I paidĀ Ā  for 5 days or five nights anyway and 6 days becauseĀ  we’re going to leave later in the day on SaturdayĀ Ā

For only $270 converted to US dollars. BecauseĀ  for some reason our dollar is worth more rightĀ Ā  now. So it’s a deal. It’s right in the center ofĀ  everything and near Namba station. So a reallyĀ Ā

Good deal. This is our room. It looks like a messĀ  because last night was brutal. But as you allĀ Ā  know Japanese hotels are very tiny. So that’s theĀ  walkway. We just woke up so it’s a mess. We didn’tĀ Ā

Make our bed. That’s the bed. I don’t even know howĀ  couples fit in there. And here’s the leg room. SoĀ Ā  we could barely fit our backpack there. There’sĀ  a little seat. The desk is full of crap becauseĀ Ā

There’s nowhere to put it and then I will go toĀ  the bathroom. It looks even more worse becauseĀ Ā  there’s no shelf space. But I expected thatĀ  It is what it is. That’s our suitcase. Got someĀ Ā  hangers here. Here’s a little hot pot and hereĀ  are some cups to make the tea from downstairs.Ā Ā

And this is like a little mini fridge and thenĀ  the bathroom’s really weird. The light is outĀ Ā  here. You pull it out and and that’s pretty muchĀ  the bathroom. The shower is super low so I haveĀ Ā

To kind of kneel down and there is nowhereĀ  to put anything. Like this is the soap they giveĀ Ā  you and the shampoo because there’s nowhere to put it.Ā  Here we brought our own little stuff, but there’sĀ Ā

Like absolutely no room. But it’s clean. There’s aĀ  bidet. There’s two things of paper. I mean toiletĀ Ā  paper. There’s Kleenex on the desk. And then thereĀ  is a bunch of towels. Two towels. No body wash Ā Ā

Or like you know those types of little towels toĀ  wash your face with or face cloths. So thankĀ Ā  God I brought my own little scrubby. And it’sĀ  just two hand towels and two regular towels. TheyĀ Ā

Will switch out your towels if you put out a signĀ  every day or if you don’t want them coming everyĀ Ā  day you don’t have to. If you want your roomĀ  cleaned as well, they have little magnets toĀ Ā

Put outside your door before 12:00 p.m. if youĀ  want it cleaned. And there is also a hair dryerĀ Ā  here. And if you’re wondering and you’ve neverĀ  been to Japan the plugs are the same as the USĀ Ā

Except they do not have the ground plug. So forĀ  the three pronged ones they’re not going to haveĀ Ā  that, but if you have the regular two-prongedĀ  American plugs they work here. So you don’t needĀ Ā

To buy a converter. And I like this place. There’sĀ  a TV here, a little fan thing that doesn’t reallyĀ Ā  work. But I will say as a person from Hawaii thisĀ  room is hot as heck and maybe I’m used to coldĀ Ā

Weather but it’s so refreshing to go outsideĀ  because I am sweating in here. You cannot controlĀ Ā  the AC in here or the temperature. So youĀ  can control the fan, but it doesn’t really doĀ Ā  anything. It does say on the hotel’s website thatĀ  they they control the temperature. So it is whatĀ Ā

It is. I turned the fan on last night. It was…itĀ  didn’t even really work for me. So that’s theĀ Ā  only complaint, but it’s cheap and it’s cleanĀ  and the staff’s super friendly. And all thoseĀ Ā  free amenities downstairs are awesome. So we’re hereĀ  and it’s really windy and getting here was…Ā Ā

We had a little difficulty at first onĀ  the first train, but otherwise it’s pretty simple.Ā Ā  It is kind of harder I will say for somebody thatĀ  has been taking the subway everywhere. I’ve doneĀ Ā  Korea, which is really huge and I thought thatĀ  was simple. I think this is the most difficultĀ Ā

Subway system I’ve done. I’ve done Portugal andĀ  New York and all that. So the reason being isĀ Ā  all of them are privately owned. These subways andĀ  trains they’re not public transportation in Japan.Ā Ā  And they’re owned by different companies. So youĀ  have to get off one like Nankai, there’s OsakaĀ Ā

Metro there’s JR train. So you have to takeĀ  different brand trains to get here. But allĀ Ā  in all simple. Just two two different trains.Ā  We’re here at Universal Studios. It is prettyĀ Ā  windy today. Supposed to be up to 40 mph gusts.Ā  What a crappy day to come, but at least it’sĀ Ā

Not raining too bad right now. We’re here aboutĀ  an hour early and this is how crowded it is. LikeĀ Ā  I said before it opens an hour early because they’reĀ  so efficient and you have to come an hour earlyĀ Ā

To get Nintendo World timed tickets. You can’tĀ  just go in there. So if you’re late you might notĀ get toĀ  go in there. We were running a little late, butĀ  we’ll see if we get in there. If not no big deal.

We got in, and I don’t…I don’t know if today wasĀ  different, but they all say that it opens an hourĀ Ā  earlier. We got here an hour earlier. We actually wereĀ  little bit late – like 10 minutes late, and it didn’tĀ Ā

Open till 7:45. So we waited in line for a while.Ā  But if you’re hardcore and you want to get inĀ Ā  line in the front, I guess you could come hereĀ  early. But it’s freezing today. I usually can dealĀ Ā

With cold very well, but the wind it’s like 40Ā  mph wind gusts sometimes and then 20 mph. And itĀ Ā  starts raining sometimes and it’s the wind thatĀ  really kills you. So we were dying in line, butĀ Ā

Here it is. We got the first timed entry ticket.Ā  So that’s another thing if you’re really hardcoreĀ Ā  and you want to get in to the Mario NintendoĀ  World area you need to come early because if youĀ Ā

Don’t get your timed ticket you’re not allowed toĀ  go inside and they do it that way because it isĀ Ā  just so crowded in there that they have to doĀ  timed tickets. You can see how crowded it is already.Ā Ā

It just opened. People are running to whateverĀ  area they want to hurry up and go to. We’reĀ Ā  not going to stay all day. We have anotherĀ  appointment to go to. A lot of these places inĀ Ā  Japan you need to do reservations for otherwiseĀ  you’re probably not getting in. But there’s allĀ Ā

This cool stuff. I haven’t been to UniversalĀ  Studios in the US for a while. I wentĀ Ā  when I was a kid in California, but never wentĀ  as an adult. So it’s nice to see all the new stuff.Ā Ā

Alright we have our timed entry ticket and we foundĀ  it. This is the Super Nintendo World. The onlyĀ Ā  other one in the US is in California and I haven’tĀ  been there so it’ll be interesting to see this version. Misty: What’s it taste like man? Aiden: It tastes like rootĀ beer and syrup. Misty: Root beer and syrup? Like a cream soda?Ā Ā  Misty: But that’s your second time havingĀ  butterbeer right? Aiden: Yep.

Alright so we’re here. We had butterbeer. If you’re coming here youĀ  got to go through the lines. There’s two. OneĀ Ā  on that side and one on that side. Then you goĀ  around with your receipt to get the butterĀ beer.Ā  You have option to get hot, so IĀ  got hot it’s freezing and really windy.

It is like a cream soda,Ā  but it’s more butterscotch. It’s like those butterscotch candies that yourĀ  Grandma used to give you. Yeah it’s good.Ā Ā  And it’s nice when it’s hot. It reallyĀ  like warms you up because it’s freezing! Cheers!

Okay we got the Hogwarts meatĀ  pie. Let’s take a look at it first.Ā Ā  It’s really crusty and crisp.Ā  Okay let me know what it tastes like. Aiden: Tastes like bread and meat.Ā  Misty: Bread and meat? That’s pretty muchĀ Ā  what it is. Is it like curry or not? Just meat? Aiden: Yeah.

So that’sĀ what it looks like. It’s got the H onĀ  there. 700 Yen. Alright going to taste it. No way dude that’s good. That’s flakyĀ  and the inside tastes like beef stew, butĀ Ā  with ground beef / minced meat insteadĀ  of the beef stew meat. And it’s gotĀ Ā

The peas and carrots inside. ActuallyĀ  really good for amusement park food anyway. Alright so we’re at HappyĀ  Kitchen, which is a Minion place andĀ Ā  we got a hot chocolate and two like MinionĀ  curry buns, which is pretty much like manapua.Ā Ā

Aiden’s going to try it. Show the inside.Ā  What’s it look like? Ooh it’s like curry manapua.Ā Ā  Misty: How is it? Aiden: Good. Misty: Does it taste like aĀ manapua? Kind of? Here’s the Minion bun. Try it out. It’s like Japanese chickenĀ curry. It’s got chicken pieces inside.

Super good. It’s really cute. It’s notĀ  too expensive, I guess for an amusement park.Ā  And it’s good! The bread does taste likeĀ  manapua. Ā Ā  This is Demon Slayer churros. They got strawberry milk and matcha chocolate. That’sĀ pretty cool.

And here is My Hero Academia churrosĀ and also the buns. I think that’s minced pork bunĀ and we’re going to get that. I don’t know whatĀ Ā  the difference is. I think it says it’s chocolateĀ  pistachio. That’s the difference from the other one.Ā Ā

This is Aiden’s favorite anime. So we’reĀ  going to try this one instead of the other one. Alright so I have the churro.Ā  It’s a pistachio chocolate from My Hero Academia. It’s crunchy. It does taste like pistachio. That’s good.Ā  Alright goodbye Universal Studios. We didn’tĀ Ā

Stay the whole day because the weather’s notĀ  so great and we’re freezing. The wind is justĀ Ā  whipping to the point where they closed most of theĀ  rides. Like the roller coasters. So that kind of isĀ Ā

A bummer. But if you’re looking to visit here andĀ  you’re here on a day where it’s actually not so windy.Ā Ā  It’s not so much the rain, it’s the wind. It isĀ  much cheaper than the US. It’s about a little overĀ Ā

$60 when you convert your US dollar to the YenĀ  and that is way cheaper than going to CaliforniaĀ Ā  or Florida. And pretty much they have most of theĀ  same rides and the food… I will say the food wasĀ Ā  exceptional for an amusement park. Usually it’sĀ  overpriced and doesn’t taste so good. But it’sĀ Ā

A little overpriced here still but still tastedĀ  really good. Everything we had was very delicious.Ā Ā  Alright we’re at the PokĆ©mon CafĆ© and we finallyĀ  got in there. There were walk-ins and they denied them.Ā Ā  They have some new items. This is the PokĆ©mon sushiĀ  and some PokĆ©mon confectionary Japanese sweets.Ā Ā

You get like a sticker here for the kids. You orderĀ  on the app. They have English, Vietnamese, and otherĀ Ā  languages. And as you can see it’s totally full andĀ  it’s got like all these cute little PokĆ©mon things.Ā Ā

And all the food is PokĆ©mon related. We gotĀ  this one. That’s the Charmander and Pikachu curry.Ā Ā  The Charmander is a chicken cutlet. We alreadyĀ  ordered that though. So we don’t need that. I gotĀ Ā  the Snorlax belly lunchtime. I’m sorry nap timeĀ  lunch plate. Which is a fried rice and teriyakiĀ Ā

Chicken and we’re probably going to order someĀ  drinks. There’s some fancy drinks. So yeah prettyĀ Ā  cool. Okay now that’s the Gengar drink. I think it’sĀ  super cool and it’s a character from PokĆ©mon ifĀ Ā  you’re not familiar. And it’s grape flavored.Ā  So let’s try it. Alright here it is. It’s so cute.

It’s like a grape smoothie. It has grape peels inĀ  it and like grounded up fresh grapes. I don’t know what these are. Like cookies? They’re like grape flavored cookies. TheĀ  closest thing I can describe it as, is theĀ Ā  artificial grape flavor of Japanese gum or candy.Ā  That’s what it tastes like.

This is Sprigatito’s melonĀ soda float. It’s melon soda with some ice creamĀ  and a cookie. Super cute. Look at that. That’s so cute. That’s good! This one’s betterĀ  than this one I think. And you canĀ Ā  feel the ice cream melt on the bottomĀ  so it kind of tastes like the shaveĀ Ā

Ice with the ice cream on the bottom.Ā  I like it. Super sweet and melon like. Wow that’s cool. Oh so just put it in there and mix? And then use that to mix? Oh. Shake? And then pour in there? Oh wow look at that.

Okay here’s my Snorlax meal. I thinkĀ  it’s so cute. Here’s Snorlax with a bed ofĀ Ā  fried rice with the shrimp and some friesĀ  and teriyaki chicken, broccoli. That’s theĀ Ā  teriyaki sauce you pour over. And these cuteĀ  little vegetables with the Z’s because he sleeps.

Here’s the chicken. It’s all right. It’s not bad, but it’sĀ  weird because it has bell peppers in it. It hasĀ Ā  that bell pepper taste. Aiden’s curry cameĀ  out. So that’s a Charmander chicken cutlet,Ā Ā  looks like some mac salad, some rice formedĀ  into a Pikachu with curry. That is so cute.Ā Ā

If you have kids or your PokĆ©mon fan you definitelyĀ  have to come here for the experience, but theĀ Ā  food is just okay. The drinks however andĀ  the desserts are really good. So if you’reĀ Ā  just here for desserts and they also have tea.Ā  That’s cute, but as far as a meal, the chicken’sĀ Ā

A little bit salty and it’s not very TeriyakiĀ  like and the rice is just mediocre. I meanĀ Ā  it’s not terrible, but it’s not like what you wouldĀ  expect to eat in Japan. It’s more for the ambiance. Oh Pikachu you’re dead. You have no eyes.

This concludes our first full day here in Osaka. Hopefully this video helps you if you have kids, on what to do. And definitely make reservations   at the Pokémon Café if your kids are really  into it. They have a gift shop and a trading

Card area on the same floor, as well. So joinĀ  us for three more videos. We’ll be here forĀ Ā  three more days for more traditional Japanese andĀ  street food. Take care. Aloha. Have a great weekend. šŸ¤™šŸŒŗāœŒšŸŒˆ

  7. Thanks for taking us on vacation with you and Aiden! Your first day looked like a little of fun, and you’re right, the snacks at Universal Studios seemed to hit the spot!

The PokĆ©mon Cafe must have been such a treat for Aiden. Did he enjoy his curry? The presentation was adorable! Last November in Kyushu we picked up dessert from Mr. Donut and I just had to get the Pikachu donut because it was too cute! It was quite yummy, and while I enjoyed my donut the rest of our party thought I was a bit crazy as they enjoyed their more traditional treats. Maybe you’ll come across a Mr. Donut and the Pikachu donut! Can’t wait to see your activities on the rest of your vacationā£ļø

Hope you had a good rest on your return home!

  9. Aloha Misty and Aiden: Thank you for sharing your journey to Universal City Osaka with us. The flamed-grilled meal looked amazing and delicious. I was surprised to hear Mandarin during your yakiniku restaurant review — must have been. Universal Studio Osaka looked like it was delicious, and fun, for you both. Glad to see Aiden has a great mom bringing him to experience different parts of the world. Hope you make it to Universal Studio California again with Aiden. Looking forward to the next segment soon. Best wishes and 🧧, fellow 🐯! šŸ¤™

  10. Awesome Misty ! We love Japan !!! How Fun with Aiden ! Yummy Hogwarts Pie ! Cute Minnion Pie ! Thank you for sharing Universal Studio ! Enjoy your travels !

  11. The machine you thought was a fan is an air purifier. And there is a higher hook for the shower nozzle on the door. That bathroom looks pretty standard for Japanese hotels I have stayed in. The less expensive ones are all going to be small compared to US standards. But much cheaper even when the exchange rate isn't in our favor.

  12. Thanks for sharing your journey.I am starting from Hokkaido and ending up in Osaka on my trip Sept. One thing I dread watching your video, is the Lines, and they look faster when they walking or moving to get to their location. I got to get in shape.

  13. At the end of Friday's video and you mentioned a trip I was soooo excited. As usual I love your vacation vlogs, and your adventures

  14. SUGOI! You're in Osaka. Day 1 at Universal and Pokemon Cafe looked fun. Aiden is one lucky kid. Can't wait for Day 2.

  15. Thks for taking us along on your trip. Misty, your son is growing up plus he’s Cute. Enjoy your stay.šŸ¤™šŸ˜Ž

  16. Appreciate you sharing your experience in Osaka! It's one thing to travel to a different country and time zone. It's also another thing to create a video with family included. Very exhausting but worth it. I want to travel there and go to Universal Studios, too! Looks safer than California. Mahalo!

  17. Awesome that Aiden joined you. He'll be well traveled by the he's 15😊 I felt your exhaustion but that dinner looked great. Mahalo for sharing. Can't wait for the next 3.
Im like you with the cold wind. 🄶 hope the weather improves

  18. When you buy a SIM card from the host country, does this allow you to access their GPS maps? What language is Maps in? Are the train/subway station signs/directory in English? What did Aiden like best at the PokƩmon/Nintendo center?

  19. šŸ™‚ WOW! THANKS so MUCH for sharing! Shared with Daughter as we just went to Universal in US last year šŸ™‚ They had a GREAT time, and GrandPa here just wandered outside in Downtown:) ALL the BEST and LOVED 7-11! Cheers!

  20. Hey Misty, I hope Japan has been good? I have never been there either. Hopefully, summer of 2025 I will honey moon there with my future wife. She is from Sendai, I think I may have told you. Hopefully it will be in the cards for me to visit. I told Miki I want to go to a Onsen resort up in the mountains for a few days. If you have pics, please send me some if you have time. I would like to show Miki. If not, no problem.

  21. Aloha from Anchorage. šŸŒ“ā„ļø I always enjoy your adventures. Like you, I only had a layover in Narita (time for a ramen šŸœ). Both my kids have visited. Plan to get there on a cruise, someday soon. āš“ļø In the meantime, I’ll live through you. 😃 See you on your next video. Travel safely. šŸ¤—

  22. Ohaiyo Misty !!!
We visited Osaka and other places (Taipei, Okinawa, etc.) … on an 11-day cruise in October 2023.
We enjoyed Japan and it's much cheaper than in Hawaii or CA.
We went to Kura Revolving restaurant (Big in Japan) in California.
    Each item was $3.75.
In Japan's "Kura" prices depended on what you select.. and cheaper than $3.75 !!!
Japan used-to-be expensive but with the stronger US$ things are cheaper.
