In this episode, we explore the best of Bangladesh, starting with a peaceful morning at a unique Airbnb surrounded by water. We visit a local mosque, interact with friendly locals, and taste traditional Bengali cuisine at a bustling restaurant. A visit to Bangladesh’s largest aviary allows us to get up close with a variety of birds, adding a touch of nature to our journey.

We wander through lively streets, catching glimpses of a local wedding setup and immersing ourselves in the vibrant culture. Our culinary adventure continues with a feast of Bengali dishes, where we try everything from fish curries to pigeons. We also witness local recycling efforts, contributing to environmental sustainability.

Our day ends with a relaxing visit to the beach, where we soak in the serene beauty of the sunset. Join us as we uncover the charm and diversity of Bangladesh, from its warm hospitality to its rich culinary heritage.

Oh my God hi [Music] wow asalam [Music]  alaykum oh [Music] wow we’re going to have fun these are such big turtles Okay so we’ve just arrived to a very local   place here asalam alaykum I’ve  never seen so much food in my life

W assalam alaykum or get and good morning guys  from our beautiful Airbnb here in chiong we are   actually in a Airbnb a entire house right now  surrounded by water it’s sort of like a mini   Farm just outside the city we met the owners  fasil and Maria last night they picked us up

At like 1 p.m. from our bus all the way from Cox  Bazaar and they’re actually going to take us out   today on today’s Vlog but first I just want to  show you this Airbnb because it’s really [Music] cool [Music]

We are just surrounded by water uh and this is  a private Lake when I saw the photos online I   thought we were next to a public you know a  public Lake but no water on this side as well

So the house is completely surrounded so when  we arrived here late last night um I took some   footage on my phone and this whole area lights  up all of these trees light up they have little

Garden lights as well this is the first time me  seeing this Lake in the daytime so this is really   cool check this out apparently there’s fish in  there as well but this is the main thing I want

To show you guys and this is the key feature for  the property they have Chong’s largest Avery it   goes all the way down here now if you don’t know  what an Avery is it’s a bird Avery so it handles

Birds asalam alikum you well uh yes okay okay so  part of the Airbnb experience here is they also   make breakfast yeah the stuff here really really  lovely even though the English level’s like lower   it doesn’t matter it’s pretty easy to communicate  and we always have Google translate as well oh

They’re getting fed food time they’re very happy  you can hear them I can come okay awesome good   morning hello hello hello hi budes it is so loud  in here oh they love these fruits here they come

Wow would you look at that oh my God so all the  birds are separated based on their breeds so you   can see these ones here and these ones live  together but the cockies and the big parrots   they don’t live together ah yes so you can  see these big birds here they’re separate

Oh wow these birds are so beautiful this is  such a cool experience and they’ve also got   breeding boxes in here as well so they can  breed the birds and actually sell them if   they get too many but I believe this is more  just a hobby for them we’re now feeding the

Big the big birds yeah yeah oh wow W soop  Fe is joined the party you’re excited yeah [Music] hi well I’m a little  jealous I wish I could kiss the bird oh my God [Music] hiow [Music] let’s give this a try  we’ve got the lovely Little Roy

Here oh this is nice and stringy it’s  going to be good so let’s give this a taste M it’s good M really nice super Super Fresh  wow look at this so you can see the entire Pond   here and then back here is the farming the  fields and then here we have the beautiful

Palm trees as well with a whole another Lake here  too really cool place guys this is like you know   so different to staying at a hotel such a more  unique and a real Bangladesh experience what do

You think babe of the place so far it’s really  nice yeah yeah it doesn’t feel like a hotel or   anything no right what do you like the most birds  birds yeah yeah I I knew should’ say birds when

I saw this listing online as soon as I saw the  birds I’m like all right I’m booking it sopia   loves Birds she has you have two budgies at home  and one of them like sits on her shoulder and

Like kisses her yeah actually he even sits on my  shoulder too he’s a good bird his name’s blue blue   man blue manand and Tweety and tweet is yellow  guys I don’t know if you can see this but just

Here behind me is a woodpecker I believe this is  the first time in my life I’ve seen a woodpecker   I think maybe another time so cool right next to  us obviously this isn’t a cage woodpecker this   is just a wild animal here just at the Airbnb  there’s so many little different bird species

Around here so uh I’ve just been sitting here for  the past 5 minutes with the owner of this Airbnb   everyone this is fasil uh he’ll be uh taking us  around today and has been so kind to host Us in

His beautiful air VNV so he does a little bit of  construction work and a few rental businesses here   so we’ve just been having a really good chat it’s  been awesome okay so we’re now in the car about

To head off on our adventure I’m so excited for  today our first impressions of Chong it should be Good okay so it just came to Basil’s house  and we’re just having a look at his Land   Rover Defender here he uh he built this up  from uh from pretty much nothing he sourced   all of the parts big project here we’re just  meeting the baby here as well good morning

Good morning say hi hi Jack Uncle hi Sophie  auntie and this is Maria hi so I’ll put her   Instagram here she does food reviews as well and  uh she’ll be coming around with us today as well

So yeah it’s going to be a good Adventure right  we’re going to have fun there’s a smile we got a smile Okay so we’re just arriving into the uh mosque  so yeah should be interesting to go in and see   what it looks like it may be similar to the one  we went to in CET I’m not sure it’ll be cool to

See the difference but apparently they have old  Turtles here so they have a big lake over here   oh here it is oh my gosh look at this oh my gosh  that is one big turtle these are such big turtles

I’m pretty sure the correct name is Turtle I think  tortoise is the ones that live on the land turtles   are the ones that live in water let me know  in the comments I think that’s right okay so

We’re just trying to feed the Tor tortoise here  the turtle it’s a little bit shy though come on   have it have it have it yeah good good boy good  Turtle wa so you can see here behind me this is

The mosque and sort of shrine area which we’ll  go into in a minute so at these mosque areas you   do have a lot of um homeless people it sort of  happens around most religious sites all around

The world this is the place where most people  will have the best opportunity to come and get   some money donated to them because after people  go to the temple they’ll come out you know after   doing their prayers and then donate some money  because you know it’s the right thing to do and

If you’re coming and traveling to countries  in South Asia you know don’t be worried about   any of this it’s completely normal okay so the  ladies are just sitting in the car uh as we go   into the mosque here unfortunately ladies can’t  go inside because uh I think there’s a male only

Praying area one of the Beggars here just gave  me a banana and I was about to eat it because   she was being so kind and asking about my camera  but my girlfriend friend and uh Maria said don’t

Eat it uh I’m not too sure why maybe if I eat  it then she’s going to ask for money or maybe   there’s something wrong with it I really don’t  know even though I travel so much there’s always

New experiences and sometimes I don’t know what  to do so it’s good having local people around us   okay so we’re now inside the shrine here so  yeah really just our leader is buried inside   here they’re letting us come in which is nice I  wasn’t going to come in out of respect but yeah

As you can see here his body and a lovely room  here people are in here praying and also reading   the Quran as well so this is a my first experience  inside a shrine in Bangladesh yeah so uh that was

A little look into the shrine uh I wasn’t so  sure if I could go in and film I’m not really   used to filming in Islamic countries actually so  I’m still trying to get the hang of it so here

We have quite an interesting tree behind me it’s  tied up with many red and orange rope what they   do is they wish for something pray for something  and then they tie it onto this tree so another

Thing as well guys is the Bengali language is  sort of it has its similarities to Hindi and   even to napali so uh you know I understand  not a lot of napali but quite a bit and I

Understand a little bit of Hindi so it’s sort of  interesting to understand as well a little bit of   Bengali here and there but uh we have some cute  cute little dogs here hello quite interestingly   actually um you won’t find many Street dogs here  in Bangladesh unlike in India and Nepal there’s

Not that many Street dogs oh and these are  burial sites as well I’m not too sure in Islam   if everyone gets buried or you get buried and  creaded let me know in the comments I’m not too

Sure okay so what we just saw and what that  man was just explaining was uh essentially 12   I believe of the religious uh leaders would come  and sit there and have meetings and uh sit around   the player there as well now everyone actually  buried here is uh more like the the caretakers

Of this uh property here so that’s why they’re  buried here one thing I do want to add though   is all the staff here have been so friendly like  me filming and everything as opposed to when we

Were in selette it was a little bit of a different  experience so here in Shong everyone in this MOS   has been [Music] great Okay so we’ve just arrived  to a very local place here to eat some local

Bengali food which I’m really really excited for  I’m not too sure I think this is the place here   are you hungry yes I am hungry yeah same it’s  uh it’s been good though I’m really Keen to eat

Some local food this will probably be our second  time have real local food so it should be good I’m   excited so this place is so popular as you can see  so many people like this yeah so many people so

While we wait we’re just going to go for a small  walk here just see what they have okay let’s see   what they’re doing here asalam alayum yeah so  they’re pulling apart All Copy here you can   see all the scrap bits of metal they’ll go to sale  assalam alaykum selling garment okay curtain very

Good wow $180 so about $2 for a curtain  which is very good price so yeah as you   can see a real local local area here  and you see here they have a really   nice local neighborhood down here you want  to go down yeah yeah so we’ll go down this

Neighborhood now it looks like that there’s  going to be a wedding actually right maybe   yeah I think that this is a this into a  wedding so there’ll be a wedding maybe   later today or tomorrow let’s see but this  is a really really nice local neighborhood

Here is that a dryish oh yeah he’s selling dry  fishal Alum what what is [Music] this ah and thisi see people here are really  really friendly we’re getting a   lot of stairs because this is like this  is local guys this is really local feel straight uh

Wedding tonight tonight okay so  tonight is a wedding wow is it his family family yes family okay okay well good  luck Sor we we didn’t get invited guys but   that’s uh his family member building out this  little area here for the wedding and then the

Entrance here yeah and they’ve got all the  little fairy lights so this will look really   good little local wedding you can see here  this is the wedding curtain yeah in South   Asia it’s really common for people to like  crash a wedding right they’ll just turn up

To a wedding eat the food and go and they don’t  know who anyone is yeah it’s it’s really really   common even we won’t say what family member but  one of Sophia’s cousins did that once went to a

Wedding and then ate the food someone realized  and then he got kicked out but three of them   three of them yeah so they’re having a lot of  funan uh Nam Jack to You YouTube channel name   YouTube Jack Jack to uh yeah it you from  Australia Australia World Cup champion

Yes World Cup champion we won World Cup champion  Australia yeah we all support Australia ah thank you okay we made it it’s only really really  small but really busy you can see all the   different foods here so we’ll have a look to  see what different food we can get and then

We choose one and then we can order the ones we  want I’ve never seen so much food in my life wow   look at all of the different little CES here  oh my goodness now we just got to choose what

Oh there’s more wow this is pigeon pigeon wow  so we have our different uh fish curries beef   curries Aloo chicken so many vegetable curries as  well okay so now we got to pick what we want so I   think definitely a meat option definitely a veg  option okay so fasil is ordering everything we

Need we’re getting the local to order we don’t  know what to order so a real local experience   here I’ll leave the link in the description  uh the Google Map link to come to this place   if you’re coming to Bangladesh or if you’re a  local alike okay we’re getting our first load

Of different little dishes here now yeah Al  fish so this one here is fish po Alo which is   like potato po I eat with my hand a lot actually  especially when uh Sophia’s family Cooks I eat

With my hand all the time so this isn’t new to  me okay so I just try some is this banana is it   banana raw banana banana and and rice it’s green  banana okay that’s quite good try a little bit of

Beef M spicy no it’s good I love the  flavors in the beef okay so I’m just   going to try some of the potato  here as well mix this in with the rice oh yeah the spices and flavors are so good this  pigeon here is really really tiny so there’s

Not that much meat on it but the meat that  you can get off really [Music] good okay so   we have given this a really really good go  got to go wash so full I’m full too got to

Go wash our hands okay so right now they’re  just clearing all of the table and wiping it   all down so then we can have some sweets and  uh try the local sweets here in Bangladesh the   Bangladeshi sweets really excited for this this  bney bney bney B okay all right let’s see how this

Tastes okay it’s interesting it’s not  as sweet as what I thought I think it   has rice in it rice rice and costard okay so we  just finished up uh our dessert there and we’re   actually going to the beach believe it or not  I wanted to show you guys this these guys here

Are recycling all of the plastic bottles  here Alum and as you can see they can uh   recycle all of this and it’s actually really  good because one it cleans up the streets and   two they can earn money from it and also saving  the environment so it’s really good to see this

Uh the fact that they can get paid really  good money uh well not really good money   but a good enough wage for them to keep doing  it you know recycle which is really good to [Music] see [Music] so we’re just driving  along what they’re calling the Asian Highway

Linking from Thailand through to Myanmar through  Bangladesh into India and uh we’re coming up to   actually the first tunnel ever built in Bangladesh  so that should be interesting but just here next   to us is all of these ships it’s crazy you can  see them here it’s like hundreds probably 200

Ships just in this Bay here okay so we’re just  going into the tunnel now we’re going to go up   through the sunroof oh yeah woo wow okay here  we go we’re going into Bangladesh’s first ever [Music] tunnel W [Music] wo

All righty guys so we just made it down here  to the beach there’s all these like Beach   restaurants along here along the water and we’re  just in front of the water too so thank you guys   so much for watching thank basil and Maria  for um showing us around today it has been

Absolutely amazing I’ll link Maria’s Instagram  below so go and check her out so thank you guys   so much for watching and as always keep it  real Jack and Sophia okay bye bye bye [Music] that
