“Misato’s Journey LOG” begins. hello everyone. This is Misato. This is Nagoya Station. This time, I would like to share with you how I rode the limited express train to Yamato Yagi on Kintetsu. Please subscribe to the channel. Now, when going from Nagoya to Yamato Yagi on Kintetsu,
The best option that comes to mind may be “Hinotori.” However, “Hinotori” at this time does not stop at Yamato Yagi. It’s safe to say that it’s the Meihan Otsu Express Urban Liner, but I just rode it on my way back from Gero Onsen about 10 days ago.
Wanting to change things up, I did a little more research and found that there is also the option of taking the 4:10pm express train bound for Kashijima, changing at Ise Nakagawa, and then transferring from Ise Nakagawa to the limited express bound for Osaka Namba.
Moreover, it leaves Nagoya 20 minutes earlier than the Urban Liner and arrives at Yamato Yagi 12 minutes earlier. This time, I decided to transfer to the express train at Ise Nakagawa and return home. So, the limited express bound for Kashishima from Nagoya at 16:10 is the Ise-Shima Liner.
A melody plays when it’s time for the train to depart. Victor Young’s “Around the World” is used on the limited express train bound for Ise-Shima at Kintetsu Nagoya Station. Get on the train so you don’t miss it. Across the street is “Hinotori” who just arrived in Nagoya from Namba.
This is how we departed from Kintetsu Nagoya Station. The decks behind the front and rear driver’s seats on the Ise-Shima Liner are also observation spaces, and the view from the large wrap-around windows is spectacular. This time, I chose the deluxe seat in the last car, car 1. Passing through Kintetsu Hatta Station.
Now, regarding the Ise Shima Liner deluxe seat, the table can be stored in the armrest. The size is just right. The power outlet is located here on the armrest. The deluxe seat is larger than the regular seat and has a solid feel, so you will feel calm when sitting on it and
It will help you relieve the fatigue of your trip. The train crosses the Kiso River. Next, after crossing the Nagara River and Ibi River, you will soon reach Kuwana. It’s almost sunset time, and I can’t help but stare at the sunset. The next stop after Kuwana is Yokkaichi. A factory you will pass shortly after crossing the Inabe River. Kioxia used to have the Toshiba mark. I arrived at Kintetsu Yokkaichi, and I can see the route that a direct train took from Nagoya to the Yunoyama Line in the past . When the train departed from Yokkaichi, the tracks of the Yokkaichi Asunarou Railway could be seen for a moment under the overpass . The sun set between Yokkaichi and the next stop, Shiroko. I watched the sunset for a while. It stops at Shirako Station.
This station reminded me of my trip from Namba to Nagoya, where the local train from Tsushinmachi to Nagoya stopped for 15 minutes to wait for evacuation. After leaving Shirako, the Ise-Shima Liner continues on. Passing through Shiratsuka Garage and Shiratsuka Station. Just before the next Takada Main Mountain,
I could see the elevated line of the Ise Railway in the distance. I was flying well, but I slowed down considerably near Edobashi Station, overcrossed the JR Kisei Main Line and Ise Railway Line, and arrived at Tsu Station. And departed from Tsu. After a while, after crossing the Kumozugawa River,
The Nakagawa Short Line, which the Hitotori and Urban Liners run through, splits off, and the Ise-Shima Liner heads towards Ise-Nakagawa Station. When I headed to the deck to change trains, I noticed a decoration decorated with pearls on the wall of the deluxe seat car .
After a comfortable journey on the Ise-Shima Liner, about an hour from Nagoya, the Vistacar express train bound for Osaka-Namba is stopping next door . It’s a 1 minute contact, so I’ll get on board right away. Vista Car had an upper seat. This is the Ise-Shima Liner that I was riding until recently.
You can see the salon seats for 4 people and the twin seats for 2 people in Car 5. Like this, I transferred in one minute without wasting any time and departed from Ise Nakagawa. The Nakagawa short circuit line that you saw earlier will curve closer and merge with you.
The seats on this upper floor are the same type as the 22600 series. There are tables behind the seats, but there are no electrical outlets. Now, this Vista car has two floors, so the lower seats are also a concern. The landing part of the stairs is a deck, and
The downstairs seats are where you go down. The downstairs seats are group seats for 3 to 5 people. And the downstairs seats are not separated from the deck. I was worried about the heat and cold when the door was open, but it seemed
Like the heating on the deck was turned up high to keep the downstairs seats from getting cold, so it felt pretty hot around the stairs. By train, the Otsu Limited Express connects Osaka Namba and Kashiwajima, so it stops at many stations. Sakakibara Onsenguchi Station, transfer to Iga Railway, Iga-Kobe Station,
And pass by the Nabari Garage to arrive at Nabari Station. It will stop at this station for 4 minutes, and 4 cars will be connected in front of the train. The train will be connecting 4 cars in front of it, as the return train after arriving at the final destination, Osaka Namba,
Will be during commuting hours for the return trip home, so this is an additional connection in preparation for that. When I look out the window, I can see the side curtains of a regular train car like this because I’m sitting on the upper floor. Next is Haibara. At this station,
I saw a 5820 series express train wrapped in Osaka/Kansai Expo wrapping. And 11 minutes from Haibara. Arrived at Yamato Yagi at 18:05. It was a 1 hour and 55 minute journey from Nagoya. Even the Urban Liner without transfers takes 1 hour and 47 minutes, so the difference is 8 minutes.
I think I’m doing my best to only add 8 minutes even though I have to change trains and have many stops. If you take the Urban Liner normally, you can only ride one train, but this way you can enjoy two different types of express trains.
Depending on your connection, the trains may be the same, but if you reserve your express ticket online, you will know which vehicle you will be riding. In the case of Kintetsu Limited Express, if you have a connection of less than 30 minutes, the express fare will basically be added
To the total, so it won’t be expensive. The above was a Kintetsu Limited Express trip from Kintetsu Nagoya to Yamato Yagi, with a transfer at Ise Nakagawa. Thank you very much for watching until the end this time. Thank you for subscribing to our channel.
I would be happy if you could rate it as well.
