This is one of the oldest underground shopping streets in Japan. It is inconspicuous at first glance. One entrance is found in front of Ekimise shopping building that leads to Asakusa’s underground. The short underground link connects the Tobu Asakusa Station to the Nakamise Shopping Street. There are a few sundry goods stores and restaurants, mainly catering to subway travelers heading to/from Asakusa station.
