In Kyoto, Geisha is called as Geiko and apprentice Geiko is called Maiko. They are in fact artists – not courtesans – being highly trained practitioners of traditional Japanese arts and customs of hospitality. This movie is a Maiko dancing performance in Yasaka Enraku.
