Oh Yeah And A welcome to ninja monkey happy Sunday happy Monday depending where you’re watching from um all around the world um this is a Sunday stream where I try to answer your Japan travel related questions whether it’s a question about using the weer getting from point A to point B um finding hotels itineries

Things to do or general Japan advice General Japan chats this is the stream for you so thank you very much for being here as always I will start the stream by reminding everyone to try to um ask one question at a time and if for whatever reason um I don’t see your

Question then you should probably um repeat the question at some point just in case um you might have asked a question that is very similar to uh what something that I just answered previously I’ll try to keep things quite varied and and Broad and hopefully um bring together a stream that’s useful

For everyone and hopefully you can all hear me cuz sometimes sometimes um it’s difficult to um to know whether the sound is working so I’m going to go to the to the um to the chat first of all see where you’re all from please let me know where you’re watching

From I love to know where you’re from the first two or three minutes are introductions while people start coming in you can start asking questions obviously hey Rob hello Juan hello from Sweden also awesome that’s awesome Sweden’s in the house Hawaii is in the house Sydney is in the house also Puerto

Rico is in the house oh my god seriously if I could have a map and show where everybody’s from it’s incredible good evening Nathan and everyone else indeed and don’t forget to hit that like button um hello from Romania this is like a totally International crowd today good

Evening from Sweden um ready for the live stream nice hello Caroline long time no see and um thanks for the Emoji lab by the way those of you who are uh members of the channel you have access to some special emojis only for you rob from the

UK by the way I’ve just come from London literally today I flown in from London I spent the week in London I can talk about a a little bit about that at some point but I am absolutely exhausted but I wanted to continue with the with the with the stream and um have

Consist consistency is very important on board awesome hey Fang how you doing in New Zealand awesome um loads of people here going very quickly if I I might I might have to um skip all the introductions at one point but um howy Bojo pigeon why did the Japanese chicken cross the

Road to get to the other side I don’t know is 5,000 yen sufficient for food per day lunch and dinner only as as we will be eating breakfast at the hotel or should I badget for more a mix of casual and somewhat upscale dining you could I’ll start answering questions obviously

I think um and I think that the answer to that is everyone so diff so um different if it’s 5,000 yen per person probably you could do it definitely don’t forget that at lunchtime in Japan um you actually have um a uh um set menus I have a video which is basically

Like Japan’s badget Secrets um it’s it’s a it’s a video guide about how you can tap into set menus usually they cost 1,000 1,200 you can set you can choose different price ranges sometimes 2,000 Yen and you can have a really good lunch um then in the evening obviously

Depending on the kind of restaurant are you going to be eating fancy every single evening sometimes you’re just so tired from sightseeing and from doing doing what you need to do during the day that really you might just want to grab something quick and easy and um and head over

To your hotel to sleep to to gain the energy for the following day my recommendation I think 5 Yen could potentially be okay and you might actually find that you don’t use a 5en and you can roll it over to the next day and um and um and use that app for a

More fancy fancy trip fancy meal um 5 yen is doable but it’s going to limit you that’s basically what I’m saying hey ninja thank you hello Nick and toada is in the house hey to how you doing and from Melbourne also Steven thank you best time to catch the train to Tokyo

What’s the best time to to to catch the train to Tokyo well it depends when you want to arrive in Tokyo and generally it’s um it’s you’ve got to remember also where you’re coming from if you’re coming from a city using the shinen then you got to realize that sometimes the

Shinen doesn’t run very very late so um it depends on how you want to do the trip some people like to leave early in the morning to arrive in the destination in in the morning some people like to use up the full day in wherever they are

And arrive in the evening there is no right time to arrive other than and if you want to make the most of the day then obviously arriving early in the morning or if you want to make the most of the day in the destiny where where

Your origin is then you leave in the evening um and when it comes to rash hour you might have to factor in that there is rash hour which could potentially um affect um you know how how you get to the to the Shin Canon station so you got to you got to factor

Those things in really I would say let’s see sound is working awesome happy Monday from Australia got here happy Sunday and happy Monday cuz I know that there’s people that are living in in the future next month this St I’ll be in Japan with your girlfriend also nice

Cool Fang I’m curious who’s your favorite who is your favorite Japan writer for now I am just reading daai U don’t really have any Japanese favorite writers how’s it going only one night is in the house also hello originally from the Philippines but now UK base awesome I literally just spent a

Week well not week just under a week in in London um catching up with some friends it was a friend’s birthday I I um I didn’t do a meet up but I did did meet some some subscribers whoever contacted me and said hey you know what

Are you’re in London I I I would be like yeah if you want to meet we can meet that that sort of thing so I met Caroline there I met Jen um her partner had a great time um also um Filipe no not Philipe viente sorry viente um had a

Great time Lo of fun but I am exhausted because last night my hotel at 3:00 in the morning or 3:20 in the morning there was a fire alarm and I had to evacuate the building at 3:20 in the morning and I had to be out at the hotel for 6: 20

In the morning because I had to be at the airport quite early for my early flight hi from North Korea now that would be a first I think watching from the UK awesome hello from Greece wow Greece also how are people on the street reacting to Japan now being the world’s

Fourth largest e e economy um I’m not very sure how people are reacting to that is that Now official H because I know that it’s been on the on the on the horizon for a while and to be honest I am not surprised at all so I’m not surprised it would be

Interesting um Texas awesome what are you recommend to do in Tokyo on Golden week okay that’s a really good question golden week is a is is uh is definitely a topic that a lot of people um ask about and um for those of you who don’t know what

Golden week is is golden week is basically a period of time where there are lots of national holidays one after the other towards the end of of April to the beginning of of May and literally a lot of things not necessarily close down like for example I think that a lot of

Restaurants a lot of like um touristy entertainment things will be going because a lot of Japanese people will be off work so they’ll be exploring they’ll be traveling it’s Peak peak time of the year for people for domestic um tourism so um for example would say don’t go to

Hakon don’t go to to Nico don’t go to those hotpots during golden week for sure and in terms of Tokyo try to think of things that um you might be able to walk explore um without necessarily having to to use public transport or if you do need to use public transport then just

Be aware that it will be busy and that you will have to factor in some additional like um buffer time just in case you get to the station and you might not be able to get the train that you want to get you might have to get two or three trains uh it’s

That kind of thing um but really really really if you are going to be traveling in Tokyo during during golden week then it’s also a relatively good opportunity for you to use to um book activities or booking things in advance and having those tickets for that period knowing

That you already have those tickets you don’t have q app and you have something to do and you can I I I you can use my affiliate link CL affiliate link and you can go to my website www. um ninjas doom.com or www. ninjam monkey. org and

There’s a link there and you can you can you can get activities to to Observation decks Etc I think it just requires a lot of very specific planning and probably I usually say try to do three or four things in a day maybe during during golden week you might want to do two

Things in a day hey from Portsmouth awesome California New Hampshire I’m I’m I’m going to get to the questions really from carel Indiana awesome thank you so much for the banana F frog lady the first um of my my um donations frog froggy is in the

House thank you frog lady there you go you have your little froggy Emoji there Aras um hello from Brazil oh my God hello from Israel what is this like every single country is is here it seems um getting to the questions remember that I am I am um trying to answer

Questions if you want to help you can also type in your answers I’m planning a trip to Japan from miday to Mid June visiting Tokyo Kyoto and Osaka with my 74y old parents this will be my second visit I have an extra week to fill in

Our itinery um awesome I mean you if you’re going to be in that general area then you might want to consider doing going to potentially going to kazawa which is quite easy to access maybe you want to head to Hiroshima which is a very interesting City you want to go a

Little bit further um than maybe fora or Nagasaki and those those that could be a potentially interesting route for you to do two could you suggest destinations or activities that are senior friendly and would enhance our experience um definitely I would then say maybe Hiroshima from a historical point of

View um World War II the the atomic bomb um the peace Park Museum Etc is incredibly interesting and you could potentially um you know like like factor in or organized organize some some guided tours around those those sort of things I find that people that are a little bit older

Tend to be quite interested in in the history of of of especially the the history of the atomic bomb and how Japan has really moved forward from it so you might want to actually sort of like um go in that direction potentially um and in terms of activities that are senia friendly I

Think generally you just it’s not about the activity it’s about the planning the the potentially the um the traveling you know like how how are you going to get from one point to the other the trains for example my parents are also in the’

70s if I was to go to Japan with them I’ll be very conscious of of um the times that I that I go on the train and how long the train Journeys are especially if it’s a sabway um let’s see just saw you in x chapter’s video

Who really who is X japter really who is X x X japter am I missing something let me know HT um hello from Olympia wow do not ride the train during rash hour indeed I agree it’s hell hell Earth it’s miserable I one thing that we agree

On for sure uh hello from Texas nice hope you enjoyed your time in London we go to Japan for three weeks mid um sorry April May hopefully it won’t be too crowded during golden week it will be crowded the likelihood is that it will

Be crowded it is what it is but um I don’t think it’s the end of the world you just need to plan very very very specifically very carefully I don’t know what’s going on there’s getting lots of notifications I’m planning to go to Japan in early May and I’ll be including

Tokyo and Tokyo area miag Miyagi yamanashi prefecture anawa do you have any advice for me from Canada I don’t know what’s going on getting lots of things there yeah of course I have advice lots of advice and again I think the the theme is um you know make sure that everything is

Planned to a te especially when you’re traveling across multiple areas um you want to figure out exactly what train or the last trains or what trains you got to get and how long the distances are a lot of people are caught out they think that um the whole of Japan is shinkansen

But you might be surprised that there are certain areas that you might want to go to that do not have a shinkansen or do not have shinkansen 9 and you will be on local trains that take longer and you have to factor that in um also you need

To factor in the fact that there are some areas in Japan that are not served by Jr and they’re actually served by alternative different um train companies and you might want to research whether or not it’s faster to go on the Jr line or to go on one of these other lines um

Which might get you to your to your destination faster especially if you’re not using the Jr pass um now when it comes to to to to Miyagi Y yamanashi and and all that obviously the the only advice that I would say is just to have

Make it the same sort of advice that I put out in my last video which is how to plan a trip how to plan a trip to Tokyo you can use that same advice but apply it to all the other cities and that is like have a make yourself a list of what

You want to do in each place and put that list in order of of um of importance because then when you T tackle each day if you do it in the order that is most important to you if you do run out of time you would have at

Least done some of those you know the main things and if you do have extra time then you can simply move on to the the rest of your list it’s a good exercise to have are there any good day trips that would be good for a Saturday Sunday from

Tokyo that won’t be as crowded um in a way there are you’d have if you if you want to go a a little bit more of the beaten path then you can go to to um alternative places that are less known now I’ve covered ashikaga as a potential

Day trip or even a night away place I have a series of ashikaga videos um it’s definitely a very unique very interesting especially if it’s around May time um there’s the ashikaga flower Park which is very famous for its wisteria and with the Wisteria there incredibly beautiful so a lot of people

Go just for the Wisteria but they they they miss out on ashikaga they don’t actually go to ashikaga my recommendation is if you want to go somewhere that’s a little bit less crowded on a Saturday or a Sunday that is um that isn’t like a tourist Hotpot which would be like um hakone

Would be a tourist Hotpot Kamakura would be a tourist Hot Spot um potentially Nico the same would be very popular and maybe inoshima would be very popular AMA would be very popular but places like um like like I’ve just mentioned ashikaga would would make for a good good um

Location to go to and there are other places similar so yeah my grandson wants to ride the sunrise Express out of Osaka to Tokyo station have you ridden it before I haven’t and I know that um that many times for these things you do need to

Get a tour like a a a tour operator to book things like this for you it’s a little bit difficult how viable is is it not to have any restaurant reservation plans in place 100% valuable dude like 100% I’m not good at blocking time for attractions so I was thinking of just

Eat at whatever is nearby hopefully that’s not crazy yeah absolutely dude I don’t think you have to be worrying about U making too many bookings of for restaurants unless you specifically want to eat at a very specific restaurant then you’d have to book or you would be missing out basically but overall you

Don’t need to really make reservations for a restaurant especially if you’re flexible and you sound like you’re incredibly flexible my recommendation and this is some advice I’ve been giving very often now recently is for you to head to a sort of like a food court potentially in a in a department store

And usually in a food food court in the department store you will have a um a list of different restaurants and and you can you can make you know decide what you want to eat there it’s not like your traditional Street you know like street level restaurant type of thing

But it’s definitely a quick and easy way to get food without having to stress out um now that doesn’t mean that you might not that you won’t be queuing up you might have to queue up a little bit but definitely don’t worry frog lady hi Tom

Best area to stay in Tokyo ideally want to be quick trained ride from Shinjuku station thanks hi from Australia I mean I would say there is no such thing as a as a best place to stay in Tokyo I have my favorites but I’m always always

Changing I have like a few years that I I stay in one place and then a few years where I decide to move to a different area um now what Define what a quick train ride from Shinjuku station and also explain why specifically Shinjuku station um for example my recommendation

Really is to if you stay anywhere on the yamanote line specifically anywhere um on the Y yamano Line any of those stations nearby that will get get you to Shinjuku then you are you’re winning really um or why not just stay in chinuku um alternatively um you know you can you

Can stay in another station that’s on a line on route to Shinjuku but um yeah there’s there’s there’s no right answer really I love eneno weno area a lot but this time round next month when I’m in in Japan in a month’s time I’m going to be staying in

Ikuro um and then in the summer I’m actually starting my trip um in Dion area basically near Tokyo Tower so just I I do change locations um quite often and there is no right or wrong answer just what fits your needs if I wanted to

If I knew that I was going to be traveling um via the shinkansen like in two or three days into my Tokyo trip I will probably stay wouldn’t stay in Shinjuku I will probably stay nearer to a shansen station I probably stay um nearer to shinagawa I will say nearra to Tokyo

Station for example hello from Denver wow awesome hey thank you so much the gregster let me just add the gregster the Greg stir thank you so much the gregster by the way I do have this this special like confetti thing that I can do thank

You so much and I even have this like um like thank you hello I’m going to Japan again in the end of May I hear you have to carry your passport all times just in case you are stopped by the police yes that is correct the gregster you need to um the

Rules of the country is that you you need um official um documentation to identify you unfortunately because we are tourists the only official documentation that um that basically tells a police officer that you are in Japan as a tourist is your passport so that’s a reason why you need to carry

Your passport um foreigners who live in the country they can literally they just have to carry their their their um local um you know like um National card you know like residency card but obviously as a as a tourist we don’t have that we have a passport don’t

Forget that that it is it can be positive carrying your passport um I know that it’s a bit of a hassle and it can be a bit stressful carry carrying a passport everywhere but if you’re going to do um taxfree shopping sometimes you see something you want to buy it you

Have your passport you can actually access that taxfree and thank you so much for that um Super Chat much appreciated let’s see where are we um I’m going to I’m I’m going I’m quitting the the um in the hells and I’m going straight for the questions so let’s

See okay this is one that I’m I am covering in a in a very in a video that’s coming out shortly Nathan most recent Sakura start date is now the 17th of March Japan times yes 3 weeks plus to go from the 13th to the 22nd okay

So I’m going to be completely honest with you and that is that a lot of people get very confused about the the Sakura forecasts and the likelihood is that you might just about get the the Sakura but you’re not going to get the the the fullon Sakura unless things

Change don’t forget this is the fourth is the fourth um forecast Sakura forecast and usually by the sixth which will be in 3 weeks time more or less um I guess they have it down to a te so we are getting closer we we are close to the to the final like Sakura

Like more or when it’s going to happen but when the forast says the 17th of March it basically means when the first flower Bud opens just a little bit so just a tiny little bit of open if the flower bad sort of opens just a tiny

Little bit that’s going to happen on the 17th of March that is what the the um official forecast from the Japan meterological agency says the Japan meterological agency says that the the um the full bloom will be on the 25th or the 26th I think it is or I think it’s the

25th or 26th of of of um of March will be the full bloom peak time best time to see the the Sakura so B basically I would say really from the 23rd probably to the maybe even if it’s the 25th I would say the 25th the 24th it’s nearly

Peak it would be very good and then obviously the the Sakura will will will stick around for for a week or so so the 25 the 25th for a week and they they go away that’s not to say that um if there’s if there’s if it rains and if

It’s bad if it’s windy and it rains that’s it forget it they go they they they fall you know so just be aware that just you might have a trip for the 13th to the 22nd um and at the moment the Japan times might say that it’s the 17th of

March but it’s referring to when the first Bloom not NE not the not the full bloom so people who who I’ve had a lot of people who have been very excited oh my God like I arrive I I’m in Japan from the 1st of March to the to the I don’t

Know like the 19th of March but they’re not really going to see the Sakura really you know unfortunately it’s it’s just going to be like tiny little nothings really at that point hello hello um hey Jennifer I I know I was I wasn’t going to say um I I said I wasn’t

Going to say hello to everyone but but I will be saying hello to people who are patrons and I will be saying hello to people who are members for sure any aspirations to live in Japan at some point not really to be honest I

Have a I I like the way that I do things I wouldn’t mind spending some time in Japan maybe a few months like a long like a longer period of time but not not really by the way if you are joining now for maybe the very first time I’m here

To try to answer some of your Japan travel related questions if you’re worried about anything Japan related from catching a train to passes to hotels to region to itineries um if I can’t help you I’m sure there’s somebody in the chat that can hi nin from brunai what if use Tokyo

Sabway 72-hour pass is it valid to access to Yokohama station or do I need to purchase individual tickets by cap Paso I’m going I’m not very sure what the the Tokyo subway might not go as far as Yokohama I you’d have to do you’d have to check it

Um to be honest I’m going to be completely honest saw a video the other day about a sua update that in Tokyo Station they’re giving physical sua cards to foreign tourists and not Japanese citizens to promote the card as the sua app I’ve been saying this now since

The I don’t know the 29th of December or I’ve I’ve been telling people that the sua is available um from certain stations and some people are just catching up onto that now when it comes to to um whether it’s giving being they are being given to Japanese um residents

Or not I don’t know I don’t think it matters that much because the majority of Japanese residents already have a sua to start with and it is true that they are trying to push people to use a digital sart which I use all the time on my iPhone and I think it’s definitely

The way forward if you if you can it’s definitely the way forward um if you have an iPhone to have it on on your phone it makes life so much easier um and there’s definitely a big push especially in the last year the last 12

Months has been a huge push to to try and get people onto the digital speaker but unfortunately it’s not available to people on Android from from outside of of Japan but yes there is currently availability you can actually get your um your thing your your suer from from

Train stations hey thank you so much Chris Perkins let me just write your name here Chris Chris not CHR Perkins what the hell have I written there Perkins Chris Perkins let me just plug in my iPad because going to run out of battery thanks so much for your Super

Chat we’re traveling with two 8-year-olds in Tokyo and Kyoto um during go week are we crazy um any words of encouragement or any big tips yeah like I said I think the most important thing during that time is is basically if you are going to do any specific things then make sure that

You have the reservations or else you’re screwed basically secondly I would probably say that you do not want to do Universal Studios um during golden week if you can help help it unfortunately I think it’s going to be manic um unless you are willing to pay for those fast

Tracks um to be honest and just um micromanage your trip micromanage what you’re going to do for that trip and try to for example Kyoto is a city that’s very walkable Osaka to a certain extent is a city that’s very walkable also um and my advice is just to micromanage

Your your your your trip and to lower your expectations of what you can do during that time a lot of things will remain open like I said it’s a peak time for domestic um tourism which means that restaurants remain open and tourist sites pretty much remain remain open

Because there’s a lot of domestic tourism but that is a problem the problem is that there’s a lot of domestic tourism meaning more cues meaning more crowds meaning the trains are packed that sort of thing you know so lower your expectations a little bit a little bit everything is

Doable yeah and have a great time it’s a Pity that you’re not going like later in the future because I am actually going to be traveling with a 13-year-old and with a 9-year-old over the summer and I’ll be making some content from a family um friendly perspective which is

Going to be a new adventure for me I’m looking forward to doing that once again thanks so much for the for the Super Chat much much appreciated let’s see questions I’m going for questions I want to buy a kimono for my little niece where can I buy a good

Pretty and cheap one um yeah I would say go to donot and maybe Tokyo Tokyo hands or maybe it’s called hands now it keeps a changing name um or some of the the souvenir stores maybe maybe in um Asaka Etc you might be able to get um

That kind of thing or potentially even heading to eneno the the market there is quite interesting um John F you can actually use Uber to to um to to get a a taxi basically you you can use the Uber app but it will call a taxi so it’s quite

Easy even Wishin Kon I try not to have reservations before 11:00 a.m. to limit any Rush Hour issues um I would say Wishin Ken you’re you’re fine um to go after 9:30 in the morning really to be honest perfectly perfectly H honest I usually start heading for the

If I’m going to if I’m going to use the local train or the Subway or whatever or the yamot L for example I try to either go before 8 in the morning or before 8:30 in the morning before 8: in the morning for sure um and I try to go I

Start heading to the to the to the train station at quter 9 I’ll get the tail end of the rash hour but it’s not super crazy you know um and in terms of of um rash hour if you have reserved seats as long as you’re there early enough then

Um you’ll be fine and the last case scenario is if you do absolutely need to get somewhere early in the morning on on an Alan Canin you can always get taxi to the shansen station um if you absolutely need to just be make sure that you arrive with plenty of time um let’s

See seen lots of folks get caught out by that Osaka station versus Shin Shin oaka indeed it’s true it’s true let’s see J Rel run out of steam before I run out of time talking about time and steam let’s talk about thirst and I am very

Thirsty I need a Coke Zero like I told everyone I just come from London so I’m so Tired London’s a great City yeah 7:30 to 9:30 a.m. is the worst probably never ride the train then yeah yeah Joan how you doing you know I was thinking about you Joan I haven’t I haven’t um heard from you for a while and I was a little bit worried but I’m

Glad that you are here that everything’s okay love your channel greetings from Mexico going in March the 8th to the 17th how to dress will it be very cold wo um how to to dress for for I would say it’s still definitely the tail end of

Winter layer it up I say this very often I think that the that during the day you’re indoors a lot you’re walking a lot and actually you find that it’s not that cold unless it’s raining then you need to figure out waterproofs but I definitely recommend that you lay lay

Layer up and especially in the when it’s going to be a little bit colder it also depends what your activities are what you’re going to be doing do you think Shin Ken window seats facing M Fuji will still be a available if I reserve my seats only a day ahead

Um in late March yeah I usually you know there’s so many seats on the shinkansen it it’s such a mass transportation system that there’s a lot a lot of of seats you know so um usually usually you should be okay I would say when in a busy food court avoid the

Places with no lines uh it depend yes and no it all depends on on your priorities and how busy you are sometimes I’ve seen places with loads of lines obviously and I’ve seen places with no lines and I’ve headed to those places just because I

Need to eat and I need to not waste time and I decide you know what I’m I’m going to go to that place there’s there’s very few people in there and it’s generally okay and um would the other places be better probably but uh it all depends on

On on your priorities for that very moment I think just finished booking all my hotels for my Japan trip at the end of March for 3 weeks are the hotel stuff very helpful with questions yes they should be they usually are they usually are and um we’ll stange at Shinjuku because the

Burs that we booked will start there but we’ll go to Shibuya during our free days why just um Shibuya there’s so much to do like outside of Shibuya and check out some of the other neighborhoods go to Asaka go to weno you know and go to to Harajuku

Um bus or train from Tokyo to kazawa I would say train um just so so you get there a little bit quicker true line is not too bad going from jinjuku to the shin Ken transfer at toku but you have to be comfortable with moving through two busy stations definitely

Definitely um what are your recommendations for transport from Narita depends where you’re staying um you’re staying near Shin ubo you said then then there’s no problem you can just you can um potentially maybe get a a um a limousine bus or the train it’s

Fine it’s not too bad hly C hey can I use my S card and catch any kind of train or do I have to reserve a specific train I’m going from Kyoto to OD um you cannot use a sua card to just tap into the station I’ve mentioned this many

Times you have to basically um use your you can use your sua to purchase a shinon ticket which is separate okay so imagine a shinen ticket you need to it’s a separate ticket it’s a separate ticket basically that’s a that’s a simple question I know that you can link your

Sh your your sart to your to your shansen ticket but that’s a whole different thing hey Daniel and Yuka how are you you doing thanks for being here my friends 25th of March so excited nice you’ll be arriving just at the peak of um of Sakura don’t forget also that for

Those of you who want to go to Sakura um that Sakura starts at South of of of Japan generally and changes by region so um if you do feel that you’re coming a little bit later then maybe a day trip to moroka in the middle of April when

The Sakura there’s no longer Sakura in Tokyo and Kyoto you’ll be able to get Sakura cherry blossoms elsewhere you know let’s see very true um better to experience atast a bloom with than no bloom all got full bloom on a first trip in 2016 indeed indeed of course of course just um it

Depends on how early you know because on the very first day of the bloom there is literally nothing there to see but yeah definitely make sure you don’t lose your kids love that one air tags W so many I’m I’m going to have to start um like um being a little bit more

Picky with the questions um the nakasendo trail I haven’t done it but I I don’t think by what I’ve heard I don’t think it’s um it’s like a hardcore Trail to be honest especially Japan is so well set up for these things you know there’s always Mountain hats and hats on

The way and that kind of thing which makes life so much easier naosima Museum of Art nice that sounds like a good good advice from toada how reliable is WEA on the iPhones should I get a physical card just to be on the safe safe side no you don’t have

To get a physical card um very very reliable exactly the same as a card as a physical card I would say what do you think of the Yen will this help tourism Japan falling to lower economic status what do you think of the Yen will this help tourism Japan this will help

Tourism um but I don’t understand what you’re talking about the end sorry went to dony hot once and hated it hey Nick hello Nathan we’re going to Japan in 3 weeks excited but my family is worried that I lose my passport since we usually toss it in the safe in a

Hotel any tips to keep my passport safe yes definitely just just be super super like um paranoid I am super paranoid with my passport I just get into the the whole um like um you know like when you leave your flat or you leave your apartment I

Don’t know you do this but I always do like wallet keys phone I always check wallet keys phone so in Japan I have a different one it’s basically wallet mobile or or wallet phone passport wallet phone passport always checking um usually it’s always in the same backpack

That backpack has a air tag just in case I do lose it it’s got um in um instructions my my the hotel that I’m staying in inside also with a with an email address or the phone number of the of the um Hotel just in case also and I

Always leave it in a pocket that I don’t usually access unless I absolutely need to access so maybe that will help you feel a bit better let’s see you’ll be going from Shinjuku to too station at 5:00 a.m. just when the first train um hits I mean that’s one way of

Doing it you’ll be arriving super early to your destination which I like to do it that way but I don’t tend to do it so so so so early hey Christopher awesome Coke Zero Emoji those of you who are members can show off with your Coke Zero

Emojis thank you for the reminder to hydrate myself with um Coke so far waiting at a marked taxi stand has worked faster for me than the Uber app in Japan of course this was icha might not have been much Uber support there um yeah the problem is

That sometimes those um marked um taxi stands are quite far you know far far so you you might be in the street you might be at a station where there isn’t a a um taxi stand and then you’d have to call nuba or flag down a a

Taxi hey thank you I I didn’t even realize that there was music playing is there still is there music playing oh yes there is cool I don’t even realize I hope it’s not too too um too loud Kyoto Osaka perfect trip maybe Kyoto Osaka perfect trip maybe Osaka perfect trip maybe okay just

Keep on repeating what you want to say maybe Kobe I don’t know why you repeated so many things where is my toky banana I was I’m too tired to even get it out get it out the Freez freezer today hey awesome London is your second home nice so many questions here staying

In sugamo okay this trip is the north of the yamot line looks like an um an interesting quieter area lots of see including the aawa toen train yeah look um first of all sugamo is is um definitely a very quiet area of um Tokyo you find things close relatively early

And it’s actually known as the place where the old people of Tokyo Live generally and I believe that they sell red underwear which is lucky underwear that um old people tend to buy so don’t forget to buy your red underwear I’ve been to um movies and

I’ve been to Kabuki in the past it was good yeah from Tokyo to Nagoya definitely just get the shinkansen you can get the shinkansen from Tokyo Station um to Nagoya um or from shinagawa station to Nagoya for example easy please hit the like button yes let

Me just remind everybody to hit the like button AR thanks for reminding me and also I wanted to remind you those of you who are watching that I do have a second Channel I have like this imaginary Japan Japan Jaan on my on my on my shoulder

Telling me plug the second Channel plug the second Channel um so the second Channel Please Subscribe it’s called the it’s called happy gin really easy to find happy gyin and I um usually do live streaming from Japan when I’m there on that channel and I also do like very

More chill Vlogs a little bit less edited not really guides just Vlogs so you want to see like you can might get ideas of what to what to do um you can get the aomi um green car I would say probably staying five days in asaku asak

Asak saashi six days in Kyoto and five days in eneno what do you think yeah I mean the only thing I would say is that weno and um as saashi are very sort of close together so it’s the same area of Tokyo you might want to consider um potentially either doing weno or

Asakusabashi basically and changing the the one of them for for somewhere somewhere like ikuro maybe even Shinjuku just on a different area of Tokyo potentially you know seems like a good time to buy yen for travel later in the year definitely definitely um early January is cold it is cold um

Just but but again I found I I was there very early January was there for New Years um kazawa is known to snow so just be ready for snow I would say good morning to you too yeah I would say that rash hour maybe from 7:30 onwards

Probably Daniel I will be back in Tokyo on the 20 I start I leave from here on the 28th of um March so I’ll be there soon which is pretty cool very cool I’m very excited to be there I could have been there this week but I decided to go to London instead

I know a lot of people that do it I probably wouldn’t do it is it doable I think everything is doable but yeah do you need to make reservations for shansen my recommendation is that you make reservations for the shanen um just because you’re better safe than sorry especially in the

Weekends especially during festivals um or public holidays for example where the shin can get a little bit um you know like packed and if you’re traveling with with luggage also you just keep your passport in your purse and never touch it never been to Tokyo mostly in Nagoya

Area wow very unique traveler most people don’t go to Nagoya um you you I would actually um Payton I would actually suggest that you don’t do that so that you don’t carry a a copy that you carry your passport because if you are stopped by a police by a police um

Officer um and you present a copy they will want to see the the actual passport and you will be the likelihood is that you will have to go back to your hotel with them get your passport and probably end up spending a little bit of time in the

Police station um just with them checking everything which which if you had the passport to begin with from the very very beginning then the likelihood is that they will just look at your passport and say okay and and that’s it you know um so just for the for the sake

Of not potentially spoiling part of your trip just carry your passport with you hey allarus thank you so much let me just um add you to the list aleris um verus thank you so much fireworks um is there an app to make Shin Canon reservation interesting you know what

I just I just um found this out just this week and it’s a Shameless plug and that is that if you go I’m going to I’m going to um actually post it hold on uh hold on if you copy copy copy um if you actually let me

Just type it use my affiliate link for cluk right you can actually book Shin Canen reservations using CL um which you will then be able to exchange for for a for a um ticket in the station which is mindblowing I didn’t even know that clo had that so um

So yeah basically so that’s the only way that um I found a specific app there are you can also um find some other um like um web web um Jr web um portals and stuff that you can purchase them but yeah basically yeah thanks for that super

Chat I used to teach Clayton that Mantra he left his phone on the train yesterday got it back no comments no comments there Nya is pretty underrated yeah well well I’m I’m going to be spending a little bit of time in Nya in the summer I’ve never

Been so I I making a making a point of it will it still work your sast should work yes it’s it’s a it lasts for 10 years so as as long as it’s been used for something or top tap or tapped into in the last 10 years it should

Work I have not been to scuba but um I have a friend that lives here if that helps I’ve been told it’s very beautiful ah okay very nice very very nice you got engage in aoya WoW lovely than the music I I didn’t even realize it was music playing but

Thanks yes you can freeze these are the important questions um I I um usually buy too banana and because it has such a short shelf life I just freeze it put it in the freezer and then when I want a Tokyo banana I take it out in about half

An hour it’s defrosted it’s perfect where are we your flight lands at 7:35 a.m. so tempted to just chill out around the airport to miss the rush hour into Tokyo um you’ll be fine because I’ll tell you why you’ll be fine I’ve done that flight in fact I’ve been on flights that arrive

At 7:00 in the morning first of all um you need to get through through immigration and you need to get your your um luggage so by the time you get you land 7:35 in the morning by the time you deboard get out of the plane is

Probably qu to 8 by the time you go for security and that may take 20 minutes by the time you get your luggage by the time your train gets anywhere near Tokyo it’ll be past um past rush hour so oo cool arriving at 7: a.m. and H my hotel

Is Asaka is a a doable and respectable to travel with my 60 L Luggage in the morning rush hour from Tokyo Central again I think generally generally you might just start hitting you know what what I Would Do poss probably what I would do if you

Want to do it this way is have yourself a coffee wake yourself up um you know delay yourself a little bit and as long as you start like sort of hitting the area by um you know trying to arrive at Asaka um by quter past 9 you’ll be fine

When you actually get on the for if you’re going to go on the monor rail for example the monor rail will be to start with will be empty but it will start getting busier and busier busier as you get closer to the to ham M TR station you know

So which team lad should you go borderless or planets um I’ve not be to borderless I will be going to borderless on the 31st of of um of March I have my my tickets already borderless when it was in OA was fantastic planets is fantastic they’re both fantastic I would go for

Potentially depends if you’re going to be returning to to Tokyo returning to Japan because um I think borderless is going to be very popular right now and that might actually be for you to your advantage for planets and I know that planets is putting on a very special

Exhibition um during during um spring uh special sakuda exhibition so that might entice you also we have Sam Nagoya fans indeed late March to Mid April it’s um basically the tail end of winter going into spring it will be potentially it will be nice is weather during the day a

Little bit warm potentially in the sun but cold in the shade with chilly evenings and chilly mornings probably I sound like a Weatherman have I ever visited Universal Harry Potter in Osaka is it worth a day and I have visited I enjoy enjoyed it I loved it very much I will be doing Universal Nintendo and Donkey Kon um later on this year um is it worth a day

It just depends on what you value for a day I was traveling through through Japan in the summer across 6 weeks so for me taking one day out in Osaka to go to Universal Studios was totally worth it um now would I do it in a twoe trip

Probably not you know so it’s it all depends on you on on what you what you value the most thank you so much Jerome for the super chats or yeah super sticker Jerome I write Jerome Jerome here I’m just going to write Jerome because it’s a little bit of a long name

That you have there Jerome Thomas J thank you much appreciated let’s see cool yeah if you download clo and you use my my affiliate link if you literally if you go to www. ninjas sar.com or ninjam monkey. Org the link is there and it will then then take you

To the app so Japan Japan Jaan awesome I’ve been watching all streams all the stream I come back from Jason hor horrendously from Japan horrendous ly ill no so just keep him quiet for now feel terrible no way that dude that makes me very sad did you hear me

Earlier on when I mentioned you I said I have this Japan Japan ban imaginary Japan Japan ichan in my in my ear saying Plug the second Channel plug the second Channel don’t forget to subscribe to happy guiding which is my second Channel by the way top day trips from Tokyo and Kyoto

That no one should Miss I mean there’s loads for example I would say depends on on what you you know you know what would you call a day trip trip because you could do a day trip to Hiroshima from from Kyoto although I think that you

Should be spending a night there a lot of people do it as a day trip from from Kyoto or Osaka um places like Kobe kinosaki onen um from Kyoto are quite nice um um uji is quite a nice day trip Nara is quite a nice day trip from Kyoto from Osaka for example

Um some people even go as far as going to kyaan U Mountain as a day trip nice and early in the morning again I recommend that you stay there for the night in terms of Tokyo there’s so many um Nico being being one that a lot of

People like to go and do um Yokohama Yokohama Chinatown is pretty cool enoshima is one of my favorites um Kamakura is is neat lots of fun in Kamakura and even ashikaga which I mentioned ear on on the stream is a is a fan place to go to for a day trip even

Spending a night there’s loads of things to do hakon hakon can be that as a as a day trip also um Nagano can be done as a as a day trip and masumoto can be done as a day trip yeah loads loads red underwear is already on the

Shopping list I haven’t been to gujo hat man I don’t think well worth it with cluke as it does it all in one thing and you just scan your phone at the ticket collection plus CL has a foreigner discount trips discounted trips awesome thank you um

Like I like I said I I’ve only recently become affiliate with cluke so um I didn’t know all these things and now that I’ve been looking into it it’s kind of g a bit crazy like I can’t believe that there’s so many tours and so many like tickets even the shinkansen on cluk

What the heck even hotels I was looking at hotels on cluk that were cheaper than booking.com I couldn’t believe it anyway too banana generally is confiscated in Australia I’ve heard this before thank you Japan Japanese Japan for the second Channel um there there’s a shopping token that sells various food gifts from all

Regions of Japan I would like to buy gifts on my last day before I leave for naruta I’m um staying here at Tokyo Station to be honest I am a firm believer in um purchasing things locally whilst you’re traveling rather than you know like don’t buy apples from from

Alori like apple like cakes from from alodi in Tokyo it’s it you know Tokyo has its own thing that region has its own thing um and there’s plenty plenty of options especially around the stations plenty there you go limousine um Bast sir indeed Japan Japanese Jaan helping out

There um I’m not very sure about seat reservations but you can absolutely absolutely book tickets you’d have to I haven’t done it yet but I know that shanson tickets are available I haven’t actually looked 100% excited for borderless going on April the 8th I’m going to beat you to it by N9 days

Grab a Starbucks Triple Espresso latte on arrival to haneda or Narita best option for a caffeine fix is to hit the ground running if you slept on the plane indeed I think coffee is definitely one of the first things that I do when I get to Japan

Yeah I can imagine to ASA is is really really really um busy hey Logan’s ran how you doing nice to see you in the chat don’t worry about it yes absolutely wait a minute do cluk also do luggage forwarding are you freaking kidding me this is like like crazy like

Wow wow I didn’t even know that but yes I use um luggage delivery and Luggage folding but I usually just get it done at at the reception of my um of my hotel which works very very well 7:00 a.m. busy already crazy I’m just worried what to do with my katana swords

And ninja throwing stars um like the ones that you buy in in Japan you usually you know my suggestion is if you’re going to buy a katana if you’re going to buy anything like that get them ship shipped get usually the stores will offer a shipment service and

I would probably pay for for for that service um Japan does have some strict Like rules yeah I do a Q&A um weekly every Sunday so I’m glad that um that that yeah I’m glad that it’s that is useful fast pass I’m going to get a fast

Pass just because I know that this is the fast pass of Universal Studios is a Hot Topic um I think it depends on whether you want to do like single line like um single rer lines if you’re on your own then you probably don’t need a fast pass

But if you’re traveling with a group of people um having a fast pass will guarantee that you get to see the things that you want to see Together but had the luxury of an Express Pass as we went with family and they shouldn’t they sh um they shouted me so I could help with the kids was highly recommended if you want to do main right that’s exactly what I’ve said I think it just really really does

Depend um it really does depend I think if you’re okay with a single single Rider lines then you don’t read the fast pass but if you’re going to go as a group of people then um the fast pass will guarantee time slots to see those those things you

Know devil on the shoulder angel on the shoulder what are overrated places in Japan in your opinion that’s a good question overrated depends because I don’t think anything is overrated the first time you go in Japan um when you go to Japan the very first time it doesn’t matter where you

Go nothing is going to be overrated but I think that once you’ve sort of done it the first time round um things can be overrated so that’s where I’m going to leave my answer oh my God you missed a day of Japan Jaan oh my God no way Oh people who are not Buddhist going to Coan seem weird why why do they seem weird really I don’t I don’t see Why hey toada I recently found out that Japanese Jesus lived to 106 years old on a chis broad video made me think of you is that why you have 106 toada 106 ooh good that’s a good question oh you’re going to be getting loads of inaka content lots of Ina

Content I’m basically doing some areas of Japan that I I’m completing the whole of of um of of Japan so there’ll be plenty of Haka plenty I’m excited is Japan SDF and you need background check but I liked it oo the next there you go

I was waiting for Japan you see I I whenever it’s Narita or Shinjuku questions I have or or Japan Jaan ban or ding go which I met in London I was with dang go on on on um Tuesday evening I was with dang go in London it was it was

A fun it was great catching up oh there he is speak of the devil I’m just literally just saying how um what a great time we had in in London um it was fun it was it was too short dude it was way tooo short but hey better an evening having a few

Drinks than none at all I would say 106 is a way to pronounce my real name interesting I have Japan Christian friends they are not Buddhists so this is wrong but still they are really nice hey ding go I was just talking about you awesome people who are into cameras talk

About how cameras are such a deal there besides that are there major things that come to mind being cheap compared to Western countries I think generally um you need to remember that because you can get access to the tax free um a lot of things can be quite cheap um if you

If you um access a tax free so my recommendation is that you just ask the taxfree price also um when it comes to a camera especially if it’s a Sony camera you might want to ask for the international version because the Japanese version will only have the the

Language in in Japanese and you will would not be able to change it to English um but the international version can you can change the languages it’s silly but yeah weirdly happy to be a Solo Traveler on this trip as I’ll be doing things like usj and throwing myself at the

Single line indeed that’s a good one much fun indeed Kelly for planets first thing in a.m. or later in the evening I don’t think it makes much of a difference to be honest as long as it’s not a weekend um I think it wouldn’t make much difference it depends on how

You want to plan your day I’ve planned my um Team labs for the morning so that after team Labs I can I can have a little bit of fun with friends or whatever in the afternoon the same as Japan Japan Japan keeping a low profile Jim Ross

What are you okay Jim Ross you’ve you’ve really kept a very very um you’ve been very quiet very very quiet so for those of you who are watching I do answer Japan travel related questions as best as I can um and I’ll probably be going for another

10 minutes or so before I end the stream because I am extremely quiet extremely tired um I had to I I’ve been in London for the last few days and I had to um vacate my hotel at quter 6 20 6 this morning which means that I had to wake up at4 to

6 this morning to to make sure that I was ready to go however my hotel had a fire alarm at 203 in the morning where we had to evacuate the the hotel and the fire brigade came and everything so that that that’s why I’m so tired and so

Exhausted although I have my main camera gears still going to go looking for accessories yeah I think I think that’s a that’s a good good one always check the prices at home also you know like um I would say where did you stay Saturday night no

I I um I stayed in the same place I was asking about the hotel for for um I was asking you about the hotel that you stayed in for my trip in um June because I’m back in in London for a short time in June and I’m trying to

Figure out my accommodation for June because at the moment the hotels are very expensive so uh how’s the weather overall in Tokyo and Osaka in all of May um May starts getting a little bit wet I think from from May onwards into the summer you can

Expect rain but not like every day like just be prepared that it could rain leaves me beats after two hours of new phrases I can imagine I can imagine yeah yay so I seem to have um got to the end of the questions which is pretty cool um

And um like I like I like I mentioned I do this every single Sunday any questions you know send them in um when I schedule the stream or add them to to um to this stream if you want to and I think I might start ending the stream

Because I am so freaking tired um tomorrow I have to work etc etc etc but um yeah it’s been fun just going to check to see if there’s any more questions this is your last chance to ask any questions and I will be ending the stream and I’ll see you all on the

On the Saturday um so yeah I’ll be back in Japan on the 28th God willing well leaving here on the 28th God willing and um don’t forget anybody who’s interested in pocket Wi-Fi booking tours or tickets to use my affiliate links on my website to support the channel and also remember

That I have a patreon just for those of you who might be interested in my favorite preure that’s a good question and one that I will answer in August when I complete all the preatures because it’s probably not fair man with no life hey no problem keep the music playing after the

Stream you’re enjoying it cool you can just replay the stream then yay junor from mosquito scull coaches will come miserable country my goodness Lord mcgrey thanks Nathan enjoying your videos a lot I’m glad I hope that they are useful and I hope that um my channel is a hub for planning

Japan trips basically who is my favorite Japanese band um I would say the last question by toada that my favorite Japanese band is probably the rad wimps I like the rad wimps um their music quite a lot having travel with line my phone says I’ve got and my computer says line has

Problems and doesn’t load I’ve been using insta Instagram oh okay love to listen and reading all the questions here nice to get some new ideas I’m glad um thanks everyone for your support and thank you so much to frog lady the gregster Chris Perkins Allis versus and Jerome for the for the

Um for the super chats and the and the donations Etc very very much appreciated and um thank you I’ll leave it there and I will stream from Happy gin on Wednesday and I know that last Wednesday was a little bit of a failure I do apologize for that but it just wasn’t

Working and I I ended up having a deto from from YouTube really um in London which is what I needed so yeah anyway thanks take care everyone stay positive and be a happy gun bye
