Japanese people don't get fat basically becuase their everyday meal is so healthy and their transpotation system was so good. When the train is so good people don't drive anymore they just walk to the nearest train station and commute to work. When you walk a lot everyday and dont eat unhealthy food (as in the US) you basically don't get fat.
