This time, I visited Super Nintendo World at Universal Studios Japan! I’ll introduce you to all the gourmet food at Mario World, including the Toadstool Cafe and Mario Cafe! Please enjoy until the end! This video is about the hugely popular Universal Studios Japan.

Super Nintendo World is a new area that opened in March 2021. To enter Super Nintendo World, you need an “Area Entry Ticket.” The tickets for Super Nintendo World can be obtained through the official app after entering USJ. Be careful, as you can only get one ticket per day for the Mario area.

This area is the world’s first Nintendo-themed area, taking over six years to conceive and create. It’s very exciting to experience the world of the games in real life! You’ll head to the world of Mario by going through a “warp pipe.” Wow!!! Amazing!!! Everything 360 degrees around you is Mario’s space!!

Inside the area, there are many spots where you can take photos with Mario, Luigi, Toad, and Princess Peach. The space of Mario is faithfully reproduced, creating a world that both adults and children can enjoy. This time, I’ll introduce you to all the Mario food available at Super Nintendo World!

First up is the Toadstool Cafe. (The wait time is about 100 minutes) At Toadstool Cafe, the hardworking Chef Pinocchio makes delicious Mario gourmet food. The menu includes main dishes, kids’ meals, pizza & salad, desserts, and drinks.

I couldn’t eat it all by myself, so this time we ordered in three rounds with four people. The kids’ menu was for children only. Payment is made in advance. After ordering, you’ll be given a large number called a “Number Disk.” Drinks are picked up at a dedicated drink counter.

The interior of the Toadstool Cafe is very spacious, almost like a food court. We ordered a lot from the menu, so we were guided to a large table. We ordered three types of drinks. Super Star Lemon Squash | Super Star Hot Yuzu Lemonade | Orange Juice. Super Star Hot Yuzu Lemonade ¥700.

A hot drink with yuzu-flavored lemonade topped with whipped cream. Super Star Lemon Squash ¥700. A drink filled with colorful jelly inside lemon squash. After a while, the food we ordered was brought to us. Mario Burger Bacon & Cheese ¥2500. This is the most recommended item in the Mario food series.

The bun has a mushroom pattern, and it’s filled with a patty containing Pecorino cheese. It’s very satisfying and delicious! Luigi Burger – Green Curry Chicken ¥2500. A burger set unified in green, Luigi’s image color. The green curry is spicy but not too much, making it enjoyable for children as well.

Teriyaki Chicken & Super Star Rice ¥2400. The sweet teriyaki sauce is very delicious. The chicken is juicy and tasty! Piranha Plant Caprese ¥1400. A cute-looking raw vegetable salad. The tomatoes and salad are fresh and very delicious! Mushroom Soup ¥900. A soup full of mushrooms inside a Super Mushroom container.

Next, I will introduce two desserts. Double Cherry Chocolate Cupcake ¥950. Delicious with plenty of chocolate! The sweets at Mario Cafe are of a very high level. Question Block Tiramisu ¥950. The Super Mushroom surrounded by question marks is very cute. A truffle-flavored mousse, it’s tiramisu. The sweetness is moderate. Delicious!

Adding a tangy berry sauce changes the flavor, making it even more special! The cookie of the Question Block is crispy and the texture is enjoyable! Various goods are sold in the world of Super Mario World. There are over 500 items of Nintendo World merchandise and souvenirs.

For those who want to enjoy the world of Mario even more, I recommend buying a “Power-Up Band.” You can collect coins in mini-games and attractions within the area. There are six types of mini-games in total, all of which are popular attractions. I’ve come to “Yoshi’s Adventure.”

The wait time exceeds one hour! It’s very long! Yoshi’s Adventure is an attraction where you ride on a Yoshi-shaped ride and look around the Nintendo area and objects. The ride moves very slowly, so it’s recommended for those who don’t like thrilling attractions. You can overlook the Nintendo area from a high vantage point!

It’s very fun and the view is great. Camera photography while riding is OK! It’s a dreamy five minutes where you meet many characters. I’ve come to the “1-Up Factory” inside Nintendo World. This area sells a wide variety of Mario goods and souvenirs.

There are exclusive goods at the 1-Up Factory, and you’ll want them all. I found a plushie of Chef Toad! So cute!!!!!! So, I’m heading to the cafe for the second time with Chef Toad. The staff at Toadstool Cafe carry the dishes with one hand. Impressive balance. Bowser’s Hamburger Steak ¥2600.

The shell contains spinach and hamburger. This menu comes with either bread or rice. The sauce is a bit spicy and goes perfectly with rice. Delicious! Super Mushroom Pizza Bowl〜With Mushroom Tomato Sauce〜 ¥1700. When you cut the head of the Super Mushroom, hot tomato sauce comes out.

It contains bacon, tomatoes, mushrooms, etc., and is exquisite when the sauce is put on top of bread. Toadstool Cafe has two types of pasta menus. The pasta is a bit generous in quantity. Yoshi Spaghetti〜Spinach Carbonara〜 ¥2400. When you break Yoshi’s egg, a soft-boiled egg flows out. It’s creamy and very delicious.

Fire Flower Spaghetti〜Meatball & Tomato Sauce ¥2400. A hearty pasta with three large meatballs. A delicious pasta with a nice tanginess from the tomatoes. Goal Pole Cake ¥950 A cake inspired by the goal pole that Mario hangs from when clearing a stage. A dessert with layers of various flavors of cream, perfectly balanced.

It was the most delicious sweet I had this time. In spring 2024, Nintendo World will open a new area, Donkey Kong Country! Hooray!! The specific opening date and area have not yet been announced. So excited!!! In addition to the Toadstool Cafe, Nintendo World has a specialty store for street food. “Yoshi’s Snack Island”

At “Yoshi’s Snack Island,” all food is for takeaway. On Christmas Day, a special Christmas menu is available. This time, I ordered three types of their signature menu. Koopa Calzone with Yakisoba & Cheese ¥800 A calzone shaped like Koopa’s shell. It’s filled with yakisoba and cheese. A very delicious and recommended food.

Yoshi’s Hot Apple Tea ¥700. Warm apple tea with plenty of cream on top. Yoshi’s Lassi (Strawberry) ¥700 each. Sweet and sour and delicious! At USJ, a parade is held every day at 14:00. You have to leave the Super Nintendo World area, but Mario and others appear in the parade!!

The “NO LIMIT! Parade” will be suspended for a while from April 7, 2024 (Sunday), so see it while you can!! The parade lasts about 50 minutes. Popular characters from USJ parade around the park. Characters include not only Mario but also Pokémon, Minions, Hello Kitty, and various others, creating a dreamlike atmosphere.

After Luigi and Yoshi came, Mario approached on a large float! Ahhhh!!!! So cool!!!!!!! A design like the world of Mario Kart jumped out into the real world. Mario and the people dancing to the rhythm look very fun. Several dance parties are held during the parade.

During the dance parties, the parade stops and everyone gathers to dance. Wow!!!! So beautiful!! Just watching makes you feel very happy. I’ll introduce a Mario Cafe located outside of Super Nintendo World. Mario Cafe is a takeaway specialty sweets cafe where you can enjoy food and space inspired by “Super Mario Brothers”.

You can enter this Mario Cafe without a reservation or a numbered ticket. It’s very fun to watch the sweets being made right in front of you. This time, I ordered a Mario Cafe exclusive menu and a Super Mushroom drink bottle.

You can’t eat inside, but you can place your food at a photo spot and take pictures. First, I’ll introduce two types of hot parfaits. Luigi’s Fruit Parfait ¥800. The hot parfait is a winter-only menu. There’s cocoa at the bottom of the parfait. Mario’s Pudding à la Mode ¥800.

Mario’s parfait contains hot chocolate inside. A menu irresistible for those who love sweets. Princess Peach’s Peach Cream Soda ¥700. A peach-flavored cream soda. Perfect for summer. Next, I’ll introduce the popular pancake sandwiches at Mario Cafe. Price is ¥800 each. Mario’s pancake tastes like strawberry shortcake, and Luigi’s is grape rare cheesecake flavored.

Super Star Plaza Ice – Berry & Apple (no juice) ¥550. When you open the lid, there are many small stars inside, making it a very cute ice cream. Super Mushroom Drink Bottle ¥2100. You can choose from Coca-Cola, melon soda, Sprite, orange, iced coffee, or iced tea for the drink.

The Super Nintendo World area becomes a very magical world at night. Third visit to the Toadstool Cafe. With this, I’ve conquered the entire menu. Chef’s Special Omurice & Shrimp and Mushroom Cream Stew ¥2400. The sauce is a creamy sauce made with shrimp and mushrooms.

The omurice is very luxurious with three large shrimp inside. The rice has a light taste, and the sauce is very rich. Fishbone, White Fish Meunière (with bread or rice) ¥2600. A white fish meunière printed with fishbones. It’s a rare fish menu in the park. This menu comes with either rice or bread.

The white sauce goes perfectly with bread. Giant Mushroom Pizza – Bacon and Colorful Vegetables ¥1700. A unique menu where the pizza dough is replaced with a mushroom. Although it looked very unusual, it was surprisingly delicious. The backside is all mushroom. It might be suitable for a diet since it’s low in carbohydrates.

Yoshi’s Favorite Fruit and Vegetable Salad ¥1700. A salad with a tangy dressing that’s delicious. Finally, I’ll introduce a super giant dessert cake!! Princess Peach’s Cake ¥3500. This cake is larger than other cakes and is intended for 3-4 people. It comes with a message cookie from Princess Peach. It tastes like a delicious shortcake.

Although it’s for 3-4 people, it’s so delicious that even two could probably finish it. If you ask the staff, they will lend you small plates. Super Nintendo World has completely darkened. The entire Mario area is lit up, feeling different from the daytime. Next, we will experience “Uni’s Mario Kart – Bowser’s Challenge”.

It looks quite scary… I wonder if it’s okay? This is a 110-minute wait. It’s very popular! Uni’s Mario Kart is the world’s first ride-type attraction developed by Universal and Nintendo. This attraction is enjoyed with a headset on. This attraction has some intense movements, so filming during the ride is prohibited.

The attraction includes rapid acceleration, rotation, swiveling, and sudden stops. Although the movements are intense, it’s not a vertically moving attraction, so even those who are not fans of roller coasters can enjoy it. After enjoying Mario Kart, let’s talk about popcorn!

The popcorn buckets come in Mario and Star designs and are popular for their cute appearance. The popcorn flavors available are Caramel Peach and Mushroom. This time, I chose the Caramel Peach flavor. Super Star Popcorn Bucket ¥4600. The Super Star has a button that makes the light flash when pressed.

It looks very cute when you walk around with the light on at night. The back of the Star serves as the container for the popcorn. The Caramel flavor with a hint of peach is very delicious! Since it’s nearly closing time, I’ll buy some souvenirs before heading back.

There’s a shop right outside the Mario Kart attraction, selling a lot of merchandise and sweets. I decided to buy some cute canned sweets that come in a Question Block. Opening the Question Block reveals it’s packed with lots of sweets inside. Inside the Question Block are cookies printed with designs.

Inside Yoshi were egg-shaped chocolate crunches. Cute! Perfect for souvenirs, aren’t they? Fun times fly by quickly. This filming took place over three days.
