Seems the Japanese police could use some Halloween Safe Street training from the USA Police. No need for this kind of noise or suppression by police unless Japan has terrible politicians in office. I saw a smiley time look alike costume.

What happened last year?
While the police and guides may seem overbearing and no fun, you have to remember what happened in Seoul last Halloween. 159 people died in a crowd crush because of how busy the streets for Halloween parties were since it was the first time since COVID! This is also Tokyos first open Halloween and I can't imagine how outraged people would be if no precautions were taken and something like last years crowd crush in S.K happened in Tokyo. RIP all those innocent people ☹

How about the rather large and obvious signs saying 'No Event For Halloween On Shibuya Streets'? I mean, it seems kinda obvious there wouldn't be too many people as a result. Of course, I still enjoy the walk.
Seems like there were less girls dressed in anime, then on a normal day. That dude in the Squid Game outfit was carrying a fake gun around? That wouldn't fly in the USA for sure.

…nice to see that they are setting up the cumm-ing of the Fourth Re/ch this year. The fact anyone's even buying the irrational justification for this for anymore than 5 milliseconds (>something happened bad in [insert country] last year due to reasons, therefore we must cancel Halloween everywhere forever, because doing our jobs too hard), must be because of that recent COVID vaccine cybernetic biochip update, no less.
Alas, wonder who is going to compensate the billions of Yen￥ being spent on full police security, plus loss sales to local restaurants ect. (comes with "voluntary" ban on in-store alcohol sales during the period).
…but no matter.
It's unfortunate that despite the prohibition on street drinking during the Halloween period, some foreign visitors have been observed violating this rule in Shibuya.
The area around Shibuya Station is particularly known for its Halloween festivities, but street drinking has become commonplace, leading to obstructed pedestrian traffic, littering, and noise disturbances.
The local authorities have implemented measures to address this issue, including setting up no-drinking zones in crowded areas such as Shibuya Center Street and the vicinity of Dogenzaka.
However, on the actual day, there were instances of foreign groups openly consuming alcohol on the streets. It's essential for everyone to follow regulations and maintain good manners while enjoying Halloween celebrations. 🎃🍻
The same applies to Japanese people, and no dissent is accepted.
