The live thank you Lorena how’s the Indiana Jones ride I like it a lot it’s obviously a very fun ride one of the top rides here in this park altogether uh one of the reasons I don’t particularly like it for the live stream is even if you have a lightning
Lane even if you can get up to the ride quick there’s a lot of moments where you can kind of uh still get caught up in that in that uh Underground Q um so just because I don’t like to wait in line too too long on stream I tend to avoid
Indiana Jones unless it’s the end of the night one of the last rides of the day but for the most part I like to take you guys like ride ride ride obviously we stop for food parades characters and all that good stuff but I don’t like to have
You guys sit in long lines when I can help in Indiana Jones even with a lightning Lane tends to to make you wait a little bit so great ride though fantastic ride obviously one of the best in the park here very similar to rise I feel like rise resistance in Indiana

Parade imagine what we currently have and extended three times longer the first 2/3 of the parade were units that were depicting all the classic animation yeah stories sure and each one had multiple floats multiple people live musicians multiple horses in the parade wow and in there was as one
Example it had a dog catcher Pluto was being chased by the dog catcher it was a motorized vehicle and in the back the big cage with probably 20 to 25 different breeds of dogs all sizes and um the dog catcher was trying to get Pluto and Pluto would go around to the
Back and open up the gay and all the live dogs would come out and they were trained oh my go they interact with the guest and the dog catcher would chase them with a net and Pluto around and you know after interacting with all the guests the dogs would all get back in
The truck the dog catcher would motor down another go 100 ft and and it would repeat that’s insane one scene right um is there a video of this I gosh we didn’t have video cameras then we had great big old yeah um no we didn’t have anything like that there
Super Eight something like um Alison Wonderland they had a whole deck of cards marching cards that had choreography that would go down the street and a giant long caterpillar with all the different sections of caterpillar and it would stop and these beautiful B of uh butterflies emerge from the caterpillar
And do a routine on the street um Mary Poppins there were three floats that were the rooftops of London with the chimney Stacks with the smoke from the chimneys and the chimney sweeps dancing on the rooftops with Mary Popkins that’s really cool um the the Peter Pan and Wendy and the
Lost boys they were children yeah and they you know they made an exception for the children to be working and be in the parade in those days Christmas was only a twoe period sure sure the week before and the week after Christmas that’s it candle light procession didn’t start
Until the third week how long has that been going on cand 1959 wow okay so yeah it’s always been a part of the park basically yeah and um the first time I was in Candle Light procession was 19 79 I think and I did it 13 years wow loved it
I invited back to the parade the the the Christmas version with Santa the toy soldiers were at the end there were twice as many wow twice as many yeah the reindeer were a silly goofy face they’re cute now but they were goofy looking they were funny um oh
All of the live bands mowle and the the the characters from The Jungle Book and a live band of musicians all of the the different units had live musicians and horses and live animals the um the float with Santa Claus beautiful beautiful young ladies on both
Sides in the red velvet with the white fringe playing the blocken Spiel music and at the end was this long train with building blocks that would open up and release the balloons oh my God that’s just I’m only describing a portion of it right and it was unique
Because it was only it was here for 2 weeks and gone they must have had close to 600 people what time period are we talking like when did this parade run roughly good question um I would say like 1968 to to about 1989 1990 so okay so it ran for quite a
While then it did um it did it was dated need to be updated but those experiences will never happen again CU it’s was too expensive right too many um TKS involved why do you think they’re able to get away with it back then versus now cuz it seems like I would
Assume the park generates more Revenue today would would you agree with that or no I would agree that it creates more Revenue yes but the bottom line is different yeah and the the ratio the what they need for the stockholders and the board sure that makes sense um it
You know it’s profit oriented which is fine capital and I love that right um but you would hope it be the other way that more resources would be more entertainment and and back then minimum wage was 375 sure sure yeah yeah right right sure the horses the 25th anniversary parade
Was spectacular too the horses made me think of that there was the beautiful blue and and white and silver trim on everything and this massive copy that they restored and brought to the parade you know and it was a live copy playing with 12 12 beautiful GI black
Peron horses that pulled this down the street and a large float that was from pla point to the hub literally with however many letters that spell out the word Disneyland each letter had its own unit and the letters would spin in blue and silver and the kids at the Kingdom were on the
Float and singing the the song Disneyland is your land just there were so many many parades over the years that that really captured the magic and this does sure this does it’s just not my favorite I get it so that that’s your number one was
There does that mean like the 70s and ‘ 80s did that decade generally have the best parades in entertainment or not so much well I was in the river show so yeah it was pretty good all right that’s fair that’s fair like do you look back and you say like
Wow like that decade really nailed it with parades or entertainment or like or is it kind of you know it’s it’s it’s relative because I’m seeing it through my eyes as a child right right so for today’s youth right they’re seeing it through their eyes as a child and it’s just as magical
For them of course they don’t have what I have to compare so what they’re seeing now is spectacular and magic and I need to remember that y yeah so today’s parade is still extraordinary it’s bringing back the crowds I mean it is definitely this morning a rope drop more
People than on Wednesday really yeah a lot more that’s good several thousand more at than on Wednesday wow and I know it’s because of the Brave did you get cookies today did you try the chocolate cookies today or no no I didn’t make it

Two-dimensional oh really for instance the American flag yeah it went down the street like this and you could see one side or the other it wasn’t it wasn’t you know it was two dimensional but it was spectacular and this small world unit where all of the the dolls were on push
Fls and it was just amazing um but very dated sure um I don’t have any inside knowledge or anything that I would share on a stream sure sure but I would imagine for the 7th anniversary that’s coming up uhhuh there’s probably some pretty stuff you think so
You know when we did our 50th anniversary and the homecoming and oh my gosh what led up to it we had Main Street it had a gold carpet up Main Street and a private event for all the celebrities and the movie stars that came to kick it off May
4th 2005 and then it kicked off to the public May 5th 5055 cuz that’s what Mory does right right right so it was a year and a half um yeah5 put any way the gold carpet um when we did remember dreams come true for the first time first time
Ever seeing Tinker Bell fly up and down and back and forth like recreating the scene from The Wonderful World of Disney where I grew up with her doing oneway gravity fed from one direction to the other and you never saw her again and when she
Came back at the end of the show I’m like but but um we we gathered the cast gathered along the the street on that side on the east side and on the west side from The Emporium down was all the news media so the all the the CLE lights
And the the light the television lights andu and the red the gold carpet where everybody stopped and did their interviews and we all had our costumes on we could choose whatever costume we wanted for that night that’s cool and so I did the Disneyland Railroad and
After we closed the park and it was just all the celebrities that were left right and they all went up to the hub and in front of the castle over here and so for and I I knew I wasn’t supposed to be up there so I stood back behind between the
Market house and Carnation in the middle of the street from myself and this guy walked up stood next to me and we watched the new firework show together and and our Jaws were like it was so unbelievable to hear the audio from the attractions and Julie Andrews
Speaking and oh my gosh and we stood there and just had the time of our life just the two of us in the middle of Main Street and it was John Stamos he just loved it he’s such a huge fan of Disneyland and uh so I watched my first

We had we used to do an Easter Parade on Easter Sunday that’s interesting with antique cars and all the the cast members dressed in turn of the century Easter Parade clothing we had a hot air balloon that we raised up over Plaza in and sailed off in the over my house what else
Else Hands Across America one day only and they went from New York all the way to California and up Cella and harbor in through the parking lot sure through the main gate on the east side of Main Street around plle Hub and the castle were micking minwhere and back down this
Way and out the exit and across the parking lot cuz there was no Downtown Disney here back to Harbor and off to Santa Monica and went Hands Across America um yeah outside of uh John Stamos like what other like are your favorite celebrity experiences that you had here
I know that’s such a good one but I know you’ve had so many so many how do I narrow down George Burns was wonderful Pearl Bailey and see a lot of the names I’m going to uh list young people won’t who they are we have we have a pretty diverse audience

Because they kind of grew up here too um in fact the youngest brother Jimmy and I were the same age and Marie always thought we Twins and um she treated me really well so she and Johnny when they were here they really got into the spirit of Disneyland um because being
Children here and the um invitation from Walt and Andy Williams to come in here and perform which set off their career made them famous um and then the big bands know Tommy dorsy and Glenn Miller and all of those big Nam they were over here at the Carnation Gardens all the time really
With how can you put a price tag on there I mean admission was $3 that’s crazy think about itself yeah I was a dollar that’s I I can’t even fathom that I just can’t even I everybody like you’ve told me should write a book yeah but I told you every memory is twined
With others and so I need someone to like take notes as I bounce around and then organize them you start remembering other things as yeah yeah y that makes sense exactly exactly I know they always love listening to you they always love hearing the history hearing your
Experiences cuz I think that’s I think that’s what separates from just hearing someone talk about is hearing your personal experience with the things and remembering what you saw and seeing you know even when we talked about like the parade that was here like you’re able to
