[Music] Of course, they were training to be ready to fight and conquer Andalusia as you can see, God willing, meaning open areas with a large amount of olives. [Music] Welcome to a new episode and a new place in Morocco. Today we will go and visit a
Very beautiful place in Marrakesh, not only a place. Tourists and foreigners love it. No, the people of the city, the Marrakesh themselves, consider it a very important place, especially in summer times. Let us watch together, visit and explore the gardens [music]
Marara. Good morning from Marrakesh. Today is my fifth day on my trip south, after I finished a few cities like this in the south and Ouarzazate. Argan, Ouzoud Waterfalls, Ika and Siti Fatima. I mean,
Frankly, it was a nice and special trip. I decided to spend four days in Marrakesh because the weather in November is pleasant. Frankly, it was very nice. The last time I came to Marrakesh, the weather was
Very hot . To be honest, it didn’t help that I moved a lot. I walk a lot in the streets now, the temperature is about 28 or 29, so the weather is very suitable for me to be able to walk like that. Today I am visiting a
Very nice place in Marrakesh, and frankly, it is one of the best visits here in Marrakesh. I mean, according to the words of the Marrakesh people themselves, the Menara Gardens are the beginning of the preparations for the Marrakesh International Film Festival. I was hoping I am only attending it, or
It means I will be there at that time, but unfortunately not, because it is from the 11th to the 19th of November, and I will return to Cairo, God willing, on the 10th of November. [Music]
Preparation for the film festival, and they are doing screenings in many places, such as Jemaa El Fna Square, the San Museum, and the conference hall in such and such a location. It started from Friday, November 11, until November 19 All of these are olive trees. Cars are forbidden from entering here, and entry is free. It is about 3 kilometers from the walls of the old city of Marrakesh [Music] and very close to the Atlas Mountains. It is a very special place, and the Marrakesh themselves enjoy
The spring atmosphere there. It is an escape from the summer heat. It is full of palm groves, olive trees and fruit. It is open from 8 in the morning until the evening. It is very nice from Al-Manara Airport and it is close to the English
. The best thing about it is that you can walk from it to Al-Qutbiyya Mosque and Jemaa el-Fna in about half an hour. [Music] The flat area is large and sturdy and we will walk. We will continue to discover it together, unfortunately, but it is not very clean.
The lighthouse is the place of light or the lamp that uses lighting. The name comes from the lamps that were lit in it at night. This is the appearance of the lighthouse in the past. It was not
Built in the Almohad era. The lighthouse is the wing of the lighthouse, which is the entrance that we are entering . There is now the building in the area. There is the lighthouse cistern and the sides of the lighthouse cistern and water fountains. After this building there is a large evening or
A large swimming pool or a large pool. We will be afraid to watch it with some of the lighthouse gardens. Originally, I mean, it was a large orchard or a large garden built by the ruler Abd al-Mu’min, one of the rulers. The Almohad state in the 12th century, specifically in the year
1157. At the same time, a second garden was also built, called the Gardens of Agdal [Music]. As we can see, where is the water tank or the water drain, and for hours they call it Swain Pool, but I don’t know if they used to build it or not,
And it is supervised by the main building of the lighthouse. It is the building of Al-Warin. We will now go above and beyond the Atlas Mountains, and it will become clear when you are on the floor above a very large flat olive farm, about 1300 AD. [Music]
Al-Hakim Abd al-Mu’min, the 12th century, when he ordered the construction of this cistern and the lighthouse or this building, the main purpose was to train soldiers or soldiers. On martial arts, swimming, and naval martial arts as well, because when they move on the Moroccan coast, they have the ability to
Defend the coast of Morocco from the invaders who come by sea, or most of them, or I mean, the most famous of them are the Portuguese and of course the Spaniards. They were of course training in order to be ready to fight and conquer Andalusia [music ]
It is also said that some times of the year they used this waste to irrigate or irrigate the large, strong green areas around the lighthouse. It is said that if the training was conducted here one year, the following year in the cistern that is located in the
Agdal Gardens, by eating, meaning a year here and a year there, of course, the question is. The important thing here is that they used to bring water here in Al Hariji from [Music] How, when I researched a little, I learned that the water was brought from the Atlas Mountains. They used a system
Called the dangers system. The entire distance from the Atlas Mountains to here is about 30 kilometers or a little more. From 30 to 35 kilometers, they transport water. And they use it in a million tanks . [Music] Al-Khatara, quite simply, is a water channel dug underground that reaches a length of
45 and 50 kilometers. It uses a technique to transfer water from high areas to low areas, of course, using gravity. [Applause] [Music] There is also very important information that I learned about. This building behind me, which is the main main building in the lighthouse, was built during the era of
The Saadian state. It was used by the ruler or the sultan for recreation in order to get away from the very hot atmosphere of the city. He used to come to relax here. It was in the underground floor, which was designated for the harem. His upper floor and the floor below were designated
[music] [applause] [music] [music] for the harem [music] Now I’m heading towards the lighthouse building. They enter from the middle of the farms, olive farms inside. We’ll watch it with [music] some [music] A [music] There are people who say that the number of trees and palm
Trees in the orchards around the lighthouse is about 100,000. Imagine 100,000 trees and palm trees around the lighthouse. Do you see how big the olive tree is? I mean, God willing, God willing, it means as far as the eye can see [Music ] The lighthouse building The one in my back, every side of it overlooks something special. This side overlooks the swimming pool or the swing pool, and the observation deck that you see. This is where
The governor used to sit, looking at the soldiers while they were training, and the other side also looks at a military unit belonging to the army, the side to the north or opposite. The Somme Wall looks at the Atlas Mountains,
While the last side, which is considered the right of the Sou Bol Fidi, looks at the Koutoubia Mosque [Music ] Koutoubia [Music] A [Music] [Music] [Applause] T [Music] As you can see, God willing, it means open [music] flats of olives in every place, black olives and green olives of all kinds and shapes. I, of course, do not know if this
Belongs to the government or does it belong to the government. I also do not know that there are citrus trees. I see orange and orange trees. I mean, not just olives. Oh God, it will be. The place is amazing, Your Honor, and the video is also on the same
Level. If you like it, please share, like, and Subscribe, and I will see you in a new video, a new place, and a new country. With all my heart, thank you for watching [music].
