We’re finally off to Tokyo. This trip was really special because I hadn’t been in 4 years and this was Cris’s first time ever so we were very excited I was nervous of course my Japanese felt rusty. We arrived in the evening we had some quick bites at Family Mart and we passed out
At this hotel, we opted for breakfast which I usually always enjoy in Japan they’re nothing like are in the states and I can confirm that this hotel had the best one that we tried We took a stroll into the park
And then we headed to our main plan for the day which which was Tokyo art book fair We got lucky that this fell on the weekend we were there I always dreamed of going and that’s why we’re here on our first day probably not the best idea with the jet lag
And I paid for that later but it was so special seeing a lot of vendors from around Japan and Asia and the only thing we picked up (on) was just how quiet it was in there despite the amount of people let’s see oh I see that look at that oh my God
It’s so cool like I would want like 500 of these for no reason my jet log hit really hard towards the end of the day we went to a bar called Omnipollos which I didn’t film and we ended up going back to the hotel by 10 p.m. Time for breakfast
Today I opted for an iced coffee, salad and, soup it’s amazing if you do stay at the Knot hotel please please please add breakfast to your stay now we’re off to omotesando where I went to get my nails done at Function Nails
I didn’t film much but it was genuinely such a nice experience Aona did my nails and she did such a good job she was so sweet and she walked me through the alley to show me where to get matcha after my appointment. “Right behind the matcha place, there is a coffee shop”
“Oh, it’s right there” “If you’d like, please check it out” “thank you so much!” I think this place was called the Matcha Tokyo and I’m pretty sure it’s very famous I do recommend it was very good afterwards I met up with Cris right next door
For lunch we went to Brown rice by Neal’s yard remedies and this is one of my favorite places I always go here when I’m in the area they serve vegan Japanese food always so healthy and delicious in the evening we went to visit daikanyama
And I also love this area I love how quiet and quaint it is and just overall very cool and as a night cap we went to Cafe Neo in Shibuya I think this was one of our favorite places we went to the staff was incredibly welcoming to us
They served a lot of natural Italian wine so if you’re in the area you should definitely stop by it does get pretty packed though sadly in these next few clips, I found that I didn’t actually record my audio I want to still share what we bought
So the first thing we bought were these really cute thin Chopsticks I kind of wish we bought more colors if I ever go back to the store I will complete the set but they’re really nice I’m using them now and they’re super nice
The next thing we bought from this same store is this little clip Carabiner kind of deal I had this Vision to put my keys on there and attach it to my bags oh yeah here’s a store it’s called All it was in Nihonbashi next some things we bought at the Tokyo book fair
Cris got this Shukyu magazine and it’s all about J League see you can see like the jerseys logos and the best part is the mascots they’re so cute yeah Japan has really cute mascots here I’m showing the Tokyo art book fair branding we really liked it we took
A few I don’t know what we’re going to do with it but we really like it and then Cris took this little takeaway I’m not really sure what it is for but I was really enjoying this color ooh a little shout out to my favorite tea that I
Discovered it was lemon hot tea from the vending machine so good it really saved me we also went to the drugstore in Daikanyama I got some face masks and this amazing mascara remover if you wear waterproof mascara you have to buy this I will link it below it’s very famous
I also got some eye shadow I was looking for a mini eyeshadow palette for the longest time in the States but I don’t know they don’t really make mini ones around here so I was really happy they were only like $5 oh and here’s my nails I didn’t show you guys but
I got my nails done earlier and I really liked it it was kind of like a fall watercolor Vibe with some sparkles yeah I’m telling you I’m becoming a nail person this year I’m serious and aona who was my nail designer she was super nice and she gave me a mirror
Because it was the 5 year anniversary for this place so cute Conbini Haul we have a mini asahi honestly the perfect size for me I love the size of this beer it is perfect for me oh Crris is here showing us his new shoes that he bought some Solomons
He got a deal so yeah they’re cute okay and now I’m enjoying some kab potato chips seaweed flavor and here we are we’re very tired we’re getting ready to pack the first few days in Tokyo were really nice and sweet but it’s
Time for us to go we’re heading to my grandma’s town in the next video Cris is asleep and here I am packing very sleepily
