  1. Wow, what a truly anticlimactic ending. I'm so sorry the crew on board truly left no possibility out to disappoint and anger you.
The advice I'm getting from this clip: Stick to strictly domestic cruises within Japan. As in, domestic cuisine, crew and customer service.

  2. Your "some beef" looked like what we call "beef Wellington". My son tried to make it once and it was complicated.

  3. The food was frightening on that ship! It looked like something found at a low quality summer camp. The housekeeping was also rather indifferent at best- I wouldn't have been happy. I think I would have taken the opportunity to secure lots of snacks on one of the shore excursions, and never ventured into the restaurant again.

  4. 0:29 – The song is "Everything I've Got Belongs to You", a comedy duet from the 1942 Rodgers & Hart musical, "By Jupiter". In the song, the man and woman have an argument.

  5. …"Doesn't MSC care about passenger safety?" I don't think MSC cares about anything on this cruise.

  6. Get your shorts on & go in the pool, take an umbrella and you won’t get too wet…I promise 😂
Or you could just go in the communal bath where the water is hot. Wish we had them here in the UK.

  7. All I can say about dinner is dessert looked ok. I think I rather just stick to the food in the Marketplace. I worked as a chambermaid in an upscale resort and my boss would have never allowed a stained duvet like that.

  8. That wasn't grilled veg, that was a house salad… and, yeah, the quality of the experience definitely appears to decline over the course of the vacation…

  9. Oh, STJ, this was definitely the Cruise Trip from Hell. Perhaps you felt at times that pitching yourself into the Pacific would be better. Some of those dining room food offerings were appalling. Not all cruising is this bad. Perhaps you can find a better line to travel on in the future. Thanks for sharing your ordeal with us, your loyal fans.

  10. When the music started playing at around 9:00, my mind automatically started playing "Sunflower" even though I knew it wasn't going to be there

Also, no traditional three blasts on the ship's whistle? Somebody was sleeping up on the Bridge as its seafaring tradition to do so when departing from the berth/pier

Yes, STJ, just as well you took that course otherwise you might have torn the ship to pieces… Never have I seen such a poor display from a ship's company and the quality of food is disgusting in the main restaurant

Get on a Sunflower ferry and relax in your more natural surroundings

  11. Keelung, the first port I hit back in 1976 when in the US Navy. I was just there this last April on a Windstar cruise.

  12. I have loads of food allergies, but there’s barely anything on the menus I could have even part of. I always have some safe food to take with me, rice crackers, gluten free instant porridge, gf bread, fruit, fruit pots etc, been hungry then got headaches because of it so many times that I’ve learned a lesson. Don’t always feel like going in a restaurant either or want take away food

  13. 1:20 Was the rocking motion of the camera due to wave action, or your trauma at seeing your breakfast? 17:57 Not only that, they brought the old stained bedsheets back….

  14. My Goodness, so sorry for your bad experiences.. MSC Bellissima is a no-go! 閣下、悪い経験をさせてしまい申し訳ありませんでした。MSC ベリッシマは絶対にダメです!😞😢😨😬

  15. They ripped you off Solo Solo, very disappointing service. Cruise line food is usually very good. The service of the housekeeping staff should be ashamed. You asked and asked for things that are supposed to be checked, changed out, and replaced. This line needs to take a leaf from the Sunflower ferries. They are beautiful ,well kept, and never disappoints from what I've seen. I would love to come to Japan and ride the ferries and the trains all over your beautiful country.

  16. I am so sorry you had such a bad experience. I will never go on an MSC cruise. Terrible terrible service and terrible food. Food is one the the things people normally rave about on cruise ships. I was hoping that somewhere on this ship you would find "!!" food.

The staff should have done their best to get you on a bus at the end, but I guess it was to expected as the whole cruise was a disappointment. You deserve to find yourself some amazing beef curry.

  17. Glad that you found some good food in Taipei at least. A bit sad for your experience on that cruise.
Will there be a separate video about the on shore food?
Hope your next trip is much better!
Thank you, as always, for bringing us along.

  18. Sorry to have to say this, but NONE of the food you've shown us so far looked any good!!

  19. When I was planning my last cruise, I considered MSC. So GLAD I WENT W CARNIVAL! I'm a pretty patient person, but if I were in Solo's place, I'd have gotten off in Taiwan. Btw, Solo, if you want to try again, consider an American cruise to the Caribbean. Just bring max strength ear plugs, cause we Americans are as loud as hell. LOL! Loud music, loud talking, and loud, brightly colored clothes when we go on vacation.

  20. I hope you're gonna fly home!!!! That Bellissima is anything but! But the Weather cleared up for you, so that's good. I, too, am in the south of France and it's been nothing but gray and foggy for weeks now. I need some sun! could use some anger management myself… ✌🤟💙

  21. As a European, I got to give it to MSC that they managed to provide a very authentic taste of the European idea of customer service (both figuratively and literally). There is a saying in Germany that goes "the customer is king". Thing is, we have a history of dealing with kings in a certain way in Europe, so.. that's that. Jokes apart, glad you made it out alive 😅

  22. What terrible customer service, not only with the bus issue which should have been easily resolved but the restaurant food which was pretentious yet mediocre.
I cannot believe that a professional chef of any quality would allow that breakfast to leave the pass or for any decent waiter to present it to a customer, not only was the bacon burned but what happened to the bearnaise sauce on the egg?Disgraceful.
I'm sorry that you had to endure that,it's such a shame but at least the yaeyama soba looked delicious!

  23. Oh so I’m disappointed, you got on the train to go to Taipei to have Beef Noodle Soup with mustard greens right ? No, Katsudon. Thought you was a man of the International culinary world !🤦🏻‍♀️

  24. Sorry to read your cruise didn't go so well. There were highlights, the visit to Taipai and the last day both looked very good. I liked the Galleria Bellissima, the LED roof in the main hall that had a constantly changing roof. You didn't show any of the parties, on my ship every night as party night under the LED sky! When on a cruise on the last day keep the luggage and self-disembark, it is usually quicker and easier, on my last cruise I was in the car & driving away by 08.30! MSC is not as bad as you make it out to be, but I do agree there are better lines too.

  25. oh man, the food was not really up to par (that is being put mildly in my own words) and I would have raised a fit about the stained sheets after the first night.
