Hey friends Mike and Jess here and welcome to  Regeneration Nation TV today we are reacting   to another wonderful cultural video we love  getting to know all these different cultures   and you guys have requested this one a lot this  one is Filipinos are not that smart they said I

Don’t know if I liked reading that I I assume  that it’s like a a play on words like a Twist   it’s going to subvert expect this was recommended  a lot in our last video which was another Filipino

Cultural video and you know it was recommended so  many times it’s like we we kind of have to get to   it now there’s a reason that it was recommended  it can’t be a hate video for sure it cannot be so

I just assume that it’s going to be a Twist okay  they actually are as smart as they said yes okay   but yeah I can’t wait for this this comes from the  channel project Nightfall so we’ve got links for

Their Channel this original video video if you’ve  been subscribed here for a while you know what I’m   about to say please go and support them directly  go click on those links in the description in the   pinned comments yes that’s what it’s all about  let’s get into this let’s do it Filipinos are so

Warm and friendly so hospitable to tourists  and they are always so positive smiling and easygoing is bring up this video is meant to be  Pinoy bait because while all these things might   be true let me ask you something controversial  how often do you hear about Filipinos being

Intelligent and did Filipinos have any real impact  on the world now I mean I guess uh our like you   know our knowledge on the Philippines was very  limited before we started this journey but just

A few weeks ago I learned that you guys invented  the karaoke machine so you know it was a Filipino   man a long long time ago some people try to steal  the credit but they didn’t they weren’t sucess the   real truth they that’s pretty impressive to me  okay that’s pretty impressive I’ve never really

Heard of that aren’t they just all about being  nice and smiley well there is much more than the   stereotypes and so in collaboration with all the  Filipinos in team project Nightfall we created   this special video why Filipinos are so much more  than just their I’m going to love dude I’m going

To love this video because honestly going in  that’s that’s all I’ve really heard that’s all   that I know so far so he kind of hits the nail  on the head like if this is all you’ve heard

Boom this video is for you this is for us I yeah  I grasp onto this especially this sentence right   here why Filipinos are so much more than just  their stereotypes breaking out of the mold of   what you think something is or someone is just  be because of where they live or where they’re

From just putting them in a box I love breaking  out of that and just like opening up your world   and seeing something different I’m always trying  to break out of The Stereotype of the Florida   man I don’t know if that Meme has reached the  Philippines but here in the US the Florida man

He’s not very bright he’s not very nice he’s  always trying to chase aligators with he likes   to wrestle Gators yeah I’m none of those things I  swear okay it was one time for starters you have   to thank a Filipino for how fast your computer  runs yes Filipino inventor justar bant made the

First single chip graphical user interface  accelerator which in simple terms allows for   data to be processed faster he helped simplify  computer design with fewer chips making computers   smaller more portable and more affordable and it’s  extra inspiring when you realize that this now

Billionaire used to walk barefood on dir roads  as a child back in his small Filipino Town wow   that’s and while we are on Tech if you are making  any video calls these days Filipino engineer and   physicist Gregorio Zara is your guy because way  before messenger Zoom FaceTime Skype became a

Thing he already created this a video phone wow  is that thing and now for inventions that saved   lives the Filipino women you are looking at right  now gave the world a medical incubator that works   without electricity thanks to her many babies that  live in remote communities Will Survive because

Her improvised incubator can be cheaply reproduced  oh that that’s beautiful and as we talk about   being world class let’s talk about how amazing  Filipino Talent is if you love Disney and pixer   movies like Finding Nemo and inside out you have  to than this worldclass Filipino animator Ronnie

Dell Carman for working behind those iconic films  and then we have dude I love Finding Nemo inside   out’s not my favorite and you know this that  movie stresses me out freaking sad why sadness   touch everything dude everything sadness touches  I’m like get her away from it oh my gosh she’s

Ruining something else but it has a good ending  I like the movie overall but I’m glad you paused   because I kind of wanted to go backwards cuz I’m  like the microchip like that’s awesome that’s such

A cool thing like we use technology like we have  so much in this room right now it’s ridiculous   like the room is so hot because we have so much  stuff in here like that is so crazy like that’s

Something that we don’t think about every day but  we need that we needed that everything to run like   faster the Skype machine I’m just going to call it  the Skype machine yeah like what is that I never

Seen that before but that’s that’s something that  you don’t think about where was that created like   I just I take it for granted I can talk to my my  brother who’s in Poland and see his face right   now but like somebody yeah somebody had already  created something so like bulky like I couldn’t

Even imagine having that in front of landline  video chat I couldn’t imagine that and then the   incubator for the babies and not only that like  it’s something that’s not electrical like so you   can you can get that anywhere and it’s affordable  and like there’s a lot of places that need that

And there’s tiny babies that that need that care  and that’s so awesome that that’s beautiful that’s   absolutely stunning I love that that’s like such  good news these are great freaking inventions so   far like way more than I thought they would be uno  Mars Olivia Rodrigo Bella Porsche Vanessa hudgin

Hy stainfield all of these Hollywood celebrities  have Filipino blood too but with this one you’re   most likely not surprised because Filipinos are  known for their talent yes they are to make the   world impact even stronger near to medum pH say  I I knew about Bruno Mars because of everybody

Subscribed to the channel you guys have let  us know it was when we reacted to Mor set the   Bruno Mars medley you guys were like oh his mom’s  Filipino yeah so I didn’t know that until then so

Thank you to everyone who let us know that but  the other ones I didn’t know about them having   Filipino descendant at all yeah yeah that’s  amazing fos work in many countries outside the   Philippines if there was a World Cup for where we  want to out Source Philippines Takes the Cake they

Are very highly educated in all things digital and  lastly I mentioned Hospitality as a stereotype at   the beginning of this video but in history this  famous trait literally saved lives because the   Philippines opened its arms to many refugees in  the past like Russians Jews escaping Nazis Spanish

Refugees and Chinese immigrants all persecuted  people who wouldn’t be AC accepted by other countries in this REM corner of Asia the only  like whenever you um when you think of the world   as a whole we’re so so separated and there’s  been so many things that are traumatizing in

Our history that I could see why it would be hard  to accept somebody um when you’re thinking about   your history and where you come from and what  has happened to you um and for the Philippines   to be such an Open Country to just accept no  matter what and definitely taking the people

That have been um hurt and are afraid and are  traumatized and they’re it’s just it’s just   amazing I got chills when I was saying that like  I’m not a history buff and I definitely did not

Pay a lot of attention in high school I didn’t go  to college so I’m not really super super educated   so when I find out these things that happen  as an adult when I can take that information

In and kind of acknowledge it more it’s such an  awesome I think it’s awesome opportunity for me   to get to know what happened in our history and  just be affected by it like that just hit me so

Hard that was so beautiful like sometimes it does  feel like we’re more separated than we are because   you focus on all of the wrong things but when  you hear about things like this there’s so many   stories like this and they’re all so beautiful  and it reminds you that we’re we’re all on this

Planet together and it’s nice to hear that those  displaced people could count on the Phil to take   them in you know show them some love and support  and that’s amazing only country who replied to the

Call of AO was the Philippines and so having all  of this in mind Night Farm Al together now s all   s all Filipinos will appreciate the underrated  Geniuses of their Nation s all countries will   start looking at themselves beyond the stereotypes  I hope everyone will share sh this video whichever

Country they come from to prove that any country  is always so much more than what media says   about it yeah today you have been pated because  undeniably more Filipinos deserve to be proud   of themselves not just for their positivity or  Hospitality but also for their intelligence and

Their impact on the world yes wow oh every one of  these cultural videos that we’ve watched from the   Philippines you know I believe I could be wrong  the first one was the uh the drinking etiquette

The Filipino drinking etiquette that was so funny  itun and so many people love that one uh we have   a playlist for all of our cultural reactions  by the way that’s down in the description in

The pin comment as well the Filipino drink con  etiquette one so funny so like a lot of you guys   were like this is exactly true they might have  missed a couple of the stereotypes in that add

Some more it was fun read added some more and  that was just so much fun to experience that   with everybody in the comments um the Filipino  bride singing at her own wedding you know the

The man singing to his wife at the funeral um just  everything and the last one were 14 ways to where   the Philippines is different than the rest of the  world I’m just grabbing it to you really quick I’m

Like a leaky faet over here J good thing we have  those here yeah right and now this one like this   one it’s just it changes your P perspective your  perception on things and I love it I love getting   that that’s what we’re all about is changing  people’s perspectives of what’s possible and

Just what to think about each other and I I love  it I love videos like this I really do and I’m   glad that it was a panoy bait I it baited us too  okay I I appreciate project Nightfall they seem

Like a really awesome organization that’s trying  to get a good message out there so definitely go   subscribe to them check out their stuff we’ll  leave links down below but I really appreciate   um getting to know all these different cultures  and once we get to know all these different uh

People from all around the world and what they’re  about and finding out out of stereotypes I love   that we can celebrate them and we can spread more  messages like this video out there because it’s   stuff that we didn’t realize as well so we’re  learning stuff uh more stuff that we want to

Know about uh the Filipino culture but um I just  think it’s so beautiful like I feel like um a lot   of Filipinos are really really based and rooted  from coming from nothing and and fighting for what

They have and working for what they have and so  they definitely have a reason to be so proud of   where they came from and where they are now and um  the people that come from the Philippines that are

So talented and so smart and so kind and loving  and open and accepting of every culture um I just   think it’s so beautiful this is such a wonderful  video I’m still getting chills up and down my legs   just thinking about it just this first comment  is really awesome actually I’m just reading it

It just caught my eye but as a Filipino I’m very  proud especially while watching the video I can’t   I can’t actually stop smiling that is so beautiful  what a beautiful definition of how Filipinos feel

About their country I I mean we get comments from  all over the world like I’m a Filipino living up   in Washington I’m a Filipino living in Los Angeles  and they’re they’re just so proud and they carry   that that Pride with them wherever they are  in the world whether they still live in the

Philippines or if they’ve moved or if they just  have a family member you know Heritage from the   the Philippines it’s like a very prideful nation  and it’s just amazing to see and reason for it and

It’s awesome to see the reasons more and more I  really enjoyed this video so much I did too make   sure you go and watch it yourself without all  of our added commentary definitely um but yeah   go support go support project Nightfall they’re  doing great things um let us know if there’s any

Other videos from them you would like to see us  react to uh and yeah just just leave any links you   have down below we keep getting more and more  recommendations which is very exciting and if

You like this video don’t forget to subscribe and  we’ll see you on the next one friends bye friends peace

Let's keep learning, understanding, and appreciating different cultures together!

  2. Thank you so much for these videos. I’m from the Philippines and i really enjoyed all your videos I learned so much from it. Thank you guys! And more power to you!

  3. Why don't you cover the Battle of Yultong in Korea I would like to know more about. It's a nice relationship with Korean Citizen.

  4. By the way thank you so much for covering about the Phil. Am so proud about. I've been in Saudi Arabia for two decades as Medical Practitioner.

  5. Thank you, Fe del Mundo. I was a bit upset when the narrator didn't mention her name (although it was in the video graphics), because she's so worthy of recognition and appreciation. Thank you, Miss del Mundo. You've been making the world a better place because of your invention (portable incubator that works without using electricity).

  6. Filipinos were smart than US and European country and it is proven when we Filipinos were working in Saudi Arabia esp
    In ARAMCO project wherein all
Nationalities were working in ARAMCO site/ Office..We are Filipino taas noo kahit kanino!!!!! Ok

  7. I was still in elementary, I think that was in 1962, when I went to my father to FEATI University where he was teaching electrical engineering & electronics engineering, for the Foundation Week celebration. That is where I saw the first video call. One end of the video call (traditional telephone set and probably 14" black and white television) was on the 4th floor, and the other end was in the electronics engineering laboratory on the ground floor. Also in the lab was a mini telephone central office; there, I saw the phone call connections being made by I think five (5) Strowger switches, which moved up and around depending on the numbers dialed. I saw the images on the black and white television set next to the traditional phone set on the ground floor. That was supposedly the first video call. When I was in high school in 1965, I got a ride on a prototype hovercraft that was on a 5-ft diameter circular body, with the noisy engine at the center. The hovercraft went up about 1 foot high and moved with not much control to the sides. Both Dr. Zara's inventions.

  8. And also to add Philippines has the largest contribution nation offer forced to support help South Korea during the war.

  9. filipino are smart… who believed education is best tools tp have a better life.. and they find a way to be educated… filipino parent believed the best inheritant they give to child is a good education.. and child best gift to their parent is a college diploma…

  10. I'm a subscriber from the Philippines, and yes the stereotype term "Florida man" has already reached our shores. If I'm not mistaken, a typical Florida man is a swamp dwelling inbred hillbilly who always finds himself in dyer circumstances but is incapable of daeth (misspelled on purpose). Am I right??

  11. Thank you so much ❤❤❤ proud Filipino here 🇵🇭 I love watching your reaction videos. Sub done as well. 😊

  12. filipinos have help a country against the communist and then help them rebuilt after the war. search the filipino soldiers in the battle of yultong

  13. Don’t forget that Filipino nurses are all over the world, am one of them and proud to say we are considered to be one of the best because we care

  14. I would like to recommend these videos for you…

    8 Days In The Philippines
Waking up in the Philippines (For Tourism)
The Battle Of Yultong (Philippines helped South Korea)
How the Jewish were saved by Philippines

  15. Anywhere in the world there are smart and dumb! If you think Americans are smart because they can speak fluent English? not true but may even write English grammatically correct
