I took the huge cruise ship MSC Bellissima from Yokohama to Naha (Okinawa). I wanted to know if I could enjoy a 7-day cruise in the cheapest inside cabin. Because of the price and how crowded it would be, I was more worried than excited.

The problem with solo traveling on cruise ships is that with few exceptions you pay extra compared to "two passengers divided by two" because the cruise company expects each individual to buy extra goods and services on top of what is included. Some cruise ships have solo-only cabins, though.
Strange that a cruise in the famously non-tipping Japan would have "service charges" though. Though there are relativelt few cruise lines that include that in the price.
What a nice surprise on a Friday evening. But poor STJ – no curry!
That restaurant experience didn't look fun. Too much people. I wouldn't feel comfortable.
The food does seem a little underwhelming. The room seems nice, if small, but the bed looks comfortable at least. I am looking forward to the next part of this adventure.
How nice that msc have pictures in menu on Japanese cruises. I’m missing this a lot on eu/USA ships. Sometimes the name of the dish is so fancy that you don’t know what to expect!
You can ask your room attendant for more towels, different pillows, have the fridge in your cabin emptied so you can put water and others things in it for you to use. When you get to port buy some water and soda to put in it, it will be cheaper that way. NEVER USE anything in the fridge they put in, you will be charged big.
Great cabin for a long cruise! Very reasonable fare! 👍👏✨🚢
The splashes of juice or gravy on the plates are sloppy, they should be wiped off before being presented.
Cabin is nice, after all it's only somewhere to sleep and shower, you have a massive ship the size of a small town to explore!
ooooh, STJ, if you found the MDR portions too small, stay far away from Norwegian. They've shrunk portions down so much I saw most passengers order two main courses when I was on my October '23 cruise. On the flip side, I just ordered one portion and ended my 10 day cruise without gaining any cruise-weight!

MSC are a bloody awful line. I’ve been on one of their newest ships – the Virtuosa. Never again.
I love cruising (I do on Norwegian Cruise Lines) and I had, so far, loved all the ferries and thought "Ooh that looks great". This is the first time I felt bad for you. Nice cabin, but the food looks awful. Does not make me want to be on MSC. Sunflower, where are you when we need you?
As someone who is constantly thirsty, worrying constantly about which drinks are free and which aren't sounds so stressful to me.
Been on 2 cruises, gave up on restaurants after day two of 1st…buffets had much more variety
By the way, am totally in love with your voice 🥰
Wow, that's a big ship! Too big! Just STJ and over 7,000 of his closest friends! Although I suppose it might be a few less in the off season.
Charging for tap water in the dining room is ridiculous.
Seven days in an expensive floating prison. Nightmare fuel. STJ went through this so we don't have to. Edit: Liking the artisanal "chipped glass" for the grapefruit juice at 25:47. Classy.
I ❤cruising! I've only gone to the Caribbean, but it's lovely. & I don't care what anybody says, but I prefer interior cabins. I always sleep like a baby. BUT I'd have a fit if someone charged me for WATER! On my cruises, water, tea, coffee & milk were included. I don't drink much alcohol, so I'm fine with that. I hope you enjoy the rest of your cruise. Btw, if you're cruising hungry— even for a minute– you're doing it wrong. Lol!
If that dinner is any precursor, this trip is going to be less than stellar. Dang. Breakfast as well. Sorry. Hoping for curry later.
Before the pandemic, all the cruise trip I took required an actual evacuation drill, taking the lifejacket and walking down to the lifeboat deck. I'm surprised they just make you watch a video now.
A bit shocked tap water in to available as we'll. What about tea and coffee after dinner? Surely those are still available for free?!?
The ship looks very nice and the price is low. I want to go too! I love your channel!
This is the first time I've heard him speak before in his other videos
I couldn't be on a ship that huge, and with that many passengers on board! It's like a small city! 😢
