It was raining in the Kansai region so I had to cancel my trip to Iga-Ueno. The weather in Hamamatsu looked promising so I took the Shinkansen to do some exploring since I’m visiting here later this month.
Hamamatsu is home to a number of major companies: Suzuki Motors, Yamaha Motors & Instruments, Kawai Instruments. Hamamatsu is famous for its craftsmanship. In fact, if you’ve ever bought a Japanese car, motorcycle, piano, or keyboard intstrument, chances are it was manufactured right here in Hamamatsu. Hamamatsu considers itself the town of music.
