Kobe/Arima Onsen 1 night 2 day trip to visit classic sightseeing spots #Arima Onsen edition. I have now finished checking out of the hotel. We are on our way to our next destination, Arima Onsen. This time we will aim for Arima Onsen from Mt. Rokko. I feel like something is wrong with the clouds.
There was a huge fog. There is now an announcement that the Rokko Ropeway will be suspended. Operation suspended. I should have checked before riding… How to get to Arima Onsen from Mt. Rokko. The only option is to use the Rokko Ropeway… I’ll turn around.
When I asked the station staff, they said something that happens sometimes. I will return to Sannomiya once again. I arrived at Sannomiya Station on the municipal subway. To get to Arima Onsen, use the Kobe Municipal Subway. It takes about 33 minutes to transfer to Kobe Electric Railway.
The fare has been revised and has dropped considerably to 690 yen to Arima Onsen Station. There is also a way to go by bus, but the frequency has decreased considerably. There was a Hankyu bus service until a while ago, but the service has been discontinued. arrival. I arrived at Arima Onsen.
It took a lot longer than planned. Let’s go to the hot spring town. Today we will have lunch at Arima Grand Hotel. I booked a plan that included day trip bathing (^^). This is the gateway to Arima Onsen. Arima River Water Park. There is a promenade below.
When I see it here, I feel like I’ve come to Arima (^^). I’m running out of time to make my lunch reservation. First, I’m going to eat carbonated rice crackers. I will be using the KOBE tourist passport again today.
It is good that you can use Kin-no-Yu and Gin-no-Yu in various ways in the Arima area. You can also use Rokko Cable and Rokko Arima Ropeway. It’s worth 3260 yen for a round trip. I was thinking of seeing the night view from the top of Mt. Rokko on the way home.
Yunohanado Honpo Taikodori Store 5 minutes walk from Arima Onsen Station Business hours 9:00-18:00 Open all year round. This this! . This rice cracker has a best before date of 5 seconds! . I will make it for you. These rice crackers have a best before date of 5 seconds! . Piping hot. soft! .
Delicious! . The original raw carbonated rice cracker 100 yen. It took quite some time, so it solidified. delicious! . It has a nice crispy texture (^^). I’m about to head to the hotel. That is the Arima Grand Hotel shuttle bus. I will walk there.
This is a steam square with a waterfall that looks like steam. His Highness Taiko! . There is a statue of Nene in front of you. As for the location of the hotel. It’s about a 10 minute walk from the carbonated rice cracker shop mentioned earlier.
We recommend using the shuttle bus as it is all uphill to get to the hotel. A hill that will make you regret not using the shuttle bus. Almost there! . A big hotel. When I looked it up, it was 246 rooms. When I stepped inside, I felt a sense of luxury and formality.
This is the day trip plan. This plan includes lunch, lounge drink tickets, and two large public baths within the hotel. Check-in is 10:30 and check-out is 15:30. You can stay at the hotel for up to 5 hours. The plan I chose was 6,500 yen per person.
There are various other day-trip courses available, but the prices vary. The lobby also has a dignified appearance. On the ceiling is a chandelier made of kobushi flowers in full bloom. And there is a large garden outside. It’s a perfect garden for a walk (^^).
First, let’s go to the large public bath in the basement. This area also has a luxurious feel. The public hot spring public bath on the second basement floor is also available for use by the general public. At the reception, I received a towel, razor, and toothbrush.
There is also a plan where you can take a bath without making a reservation. Comes with a 2000 yen coupon that can be used inside the facility. There was also a restaurant nearby for lunch. First, let’s go to a hot spring. The man becomes Ki-no-Yu. Women become gauze bathers.
There are occasional replacement events. The hot spring facility is large in scale. It was an overwhelming feeling of freedom (^^). There are indoor baths, Kinsen and Ginsen. This is Kinoyu (men’s). There are terraced baths that look like rice terraces. There is also an open-air bath. There was Kinsen and Ginsen.
There is also a standing bath at the very back. It was special to enter while looking at the nature of Rokko (^^). There is also a sauna and cold bath. For Saenoyu (female). A Japanese space with luxurious use of natural wood. There are also Kinsen and Ginsen.
There is also a white ion bath. Micro bubbles wash away dirt and sebum from your skin. There is also a Kinsen open-air bath. The washing area had many booths and partition boards. The hot water was good. There were bath towels and a water dispenser in the changing room.
I will now head to lunch. If I had time, I would have liked to go to the after-bath area. Let’s go after dinner.
Waraku Arima Grand Hotel B2F Business hours Lunch 11:30-14:30, last order 14:00 Dinner 17:30-21:00, last order 20:30 Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays (day before holidays) 17:30-21:30, last Order 21:00 Closed on Thursdays/According to hotel closing days. This time I made a reservation and came to the store.
The interior of the restaurant had a Japanese-style and modern atmosphere. The menu mainly consists of tempura dishes. There were also various types of udon. The basic drinks are available. Japanese sake is also available. Obanzai arrived first! . Since this is a day trip plan, the menu will be selected in advance.
Obanzai is soaked eggplant and plum crystal. It was Kinpira burdock and pumped tofu. Warakuten Fura lunch. It’s gorgeous content (^^). For freshly fried tempura. Sashimi. salad. Miso soup. Comes with tiramisu. Small draft beer 550 yen. For a light drink (^^). Let’s have a drink first! .
Beer after a bath soaks into your body ( ¨̮ ). Nice design. The Obanzai had a light taste overall. Among these, plum crystal is a delicacy. The shredded shark cartilage and plum meat were fresh. The tempura includes two shrimp, shiso tempura, pumpkin, and eggplant.
As the main dish is tempura, it had a crispy texture and was delicious. Refills of rice are available. The sashimi that day was sea bream and amberjack. Delicious (^^). I was very happy to eat delicious tempura after taking a bath. Let’s go to the after-bath place that we couldn’t go to earlier.
There is also a post-bath area on the B2 floor. The inside was modern and had a resort feel. A free tea machine is also available here. With the day trip plan, you cannot take a break in your room. This is a comfortable space, so you can relax.
It was nice to have a moment while looking at the bamboo forest. There’s another hot spring to go to, so I’m heading there. Next is the large observation garden. It has a luxurious feel. Whoa. Nice views! . Information. This place also looks quite spacious (^^).
The space after taking a bath is also large. The large public bath here is for guests only. Not available for general use. Something seems amazing. I chose the day trip plan because I could also use the observation garden here. The area after taking a bath is surrounded by lush greenery and trees.
All the plants are real plants. The ceiling is glass, so the atmosphere is very bright. There is also a blood pressure monitor and a massage chair. It can be used comfortably after taking a bath. A tea machine is also available. You can also get green tea and black bean tea for free.
Well then, let’s go (^^). The large observation garden “Unkai” is located on the highest hill in Arima. The area is over 2000m² and is about the size of eight tennis courts. It was extremely spacious and had a great sense of openness. There are indoor baths, Kinsen and Ginsen.
A sauna and a swimming bath are also available. There are also Kinsen and Ginsen open-air baths. You can see the Arima hot spring town below and the Rokko mountains in the distance. You can spend a luxurious time enjoying the view while soaking in the hot springs.
I was able to really enjoy Arima’s hot springs at the observation garden (^^). The green tea after the bath is also exceptional (^^). Finally, go to the lounge. It’s now 2:15 pm and there are still very few guests.
The large observation garden here is suitable for only 2 or 3 people staying for consecutive nights. It was close to being reserved (^^). We had the most luxurious time. A book that seems to have a high level of formality. The lounge is located next to the lobby. The lounge has a dignified interior.
Chandeliers are luxurious. For the drink, I chose mango juice. There are various drinks to choose from. Blend coffee tea orange juice mango juice lemon squash. You can enjoy the scenery here. I’m about to leave the hotel. I will use the shuttle bus on my way back.
There are three trains per hour, at 00, 20, and 40 minutes. I would like to stay there next time (^^). The person in front of me was also lamenting that he couldn’t ride the ropeway. It was a very satisfying day trip plan (^^). Arrived at the center.
The ride time was about 5 minutes. There is a shuttle bus stop here. A great platform. If you call us from here, we will come to you. From now on, I’ll be wandering around sightseeing spots and eating my way around. The Arima Toy Museum is just ahead, so let’s go there.
Golden hot water! . You can use the KOBE Tourist Passport at the Arima Toy Museum. Admission fee is normally 800 yen for adults. Use the elevator to go to the museum. The museum is located on the 4th to 6th floors. What kind of place is it? ( ¨̮ ) Light cavalry.
There are many traditional German toys on the 6th floor. You can also see various Nutcrackers. There are also animal and matchbox-sized miniature dolls. Smoke doll. Burn incense and use it by mouth. It seems to be an incense stand made to emit smoke. Her playful face is soothing (^^).
There were many traditional toys from the Elz region in eastern Germany on display. Let’s go to the 5th floor. This looks like an area where children can play. This place mainly displays toys from Europe. There is also a play space where you can actually play. Many toys made of wood are on display.
This is a corner where adults can also play. This is a German toy. It seems that if you turn it slowly, it will look three-dimensional. There were various simple toys made of wood here. Next, let’s go to the 4th floor. This is a floor that adults can enjoy.
The fourth floor is the floor for modern karakuri and automata. Automata were created in Europe from the 12th century to the 19th century. A word that refers to a mechanical doll. Many automata are on display here . I like the mechanical movements that give it a nostalgic feel (^^). Simple but interesting.
It calms my heart. There are many, but I’ll leave it here. The museum is now finished. I’m hungry, so let’s go eat something. Right next to Wagashi Kobo Arima Kin-no-yu Business hours: 9:00-18:00 Closed irregularly. Karinto Manju! . Is it steamed in this steamer? 100 yen each! . Let’s buy one (^^).
Karinto Manju 100 yen. The manju is warm (^^). The surface is crispy. The red bean paste is tightly packed inside (^^). Good texture! . I like the crispy texture! . The collaboration of brown sugar and red bean paste was delicious. It’s fun just looking around at the many shops around here (^^).
The rice cracker shop where I ate breakfast is also here. Are they making rice crackers in the back? Each piece is made by hand. Takenaka Croquette Shop “Arima Onsen” 8 minutes walk from station Business hours 10:00-17:00 Wednesdays. This is a long-established Kobe beef store that was founded in the early Taisho era.
The shop is right near Kin no Yu. There were many other things besides croquettes. Let’s do this! . Croquettes from Takenaka Meat Shop cost 170 yen. It has minced Japanese black beef inside. This time I went to eat while walking. There is an eat-in space inside the store.
It was packed full of potatoes. Next, I’ll go see the source. Are there hot springs flowing around here? I can see it! . The location is 1 minute walk from the croquette shop mentioned earlier. Steam! . The wind is strong and it’s intense.
This is one of the seven hot spring sources in the hot spring town. This gold spring is pumped up from 206 meters underground. The spring temperature is as high as 98.2 degrees, and the gushing rate is 28 liters per minute. There is Arima Tenjin Shrine in the back.
Lord Michizane Sugawara is enshrined here. A cow is also enshrined here (^^). It’s Michizane Sugawara, so it’s a Tenjin source. Let’s go see the next source. I could see it from between the alleys. There is also a stylish cafe here. The cheesecake looks delicious (^^). This is Jeisengen.
The quality of the spring water here is also Kinsen. A hot spring with a temperature of 93.8 degrees gushes out. The hot spring source is also a highlight of Arima Onsen. There is a legend about the source here. There was also a geyser here. It has dried up now.
Next, we will head to the most famous carbonated spring source. The name is carbonic acid! . As you walk around this area, you will see many Onigawara. Each one has a different facial expression. This area is Terada Town. There are many temples scattered around.
Onigawara tiles are also installed in places other than buildings as power spots to ward off evil spirits and evil spirits. There is also a carbonated rice cracker shop here! . A series of hard hills. Arrived at the carbonated source.
It’s a 5 minute walk from Kin-no-Yu, but it’s mostly uphill so it will take a little longer. Oh! . The hot springs are really hot! . At this time, I thought there was a hot spring. When I looked into it, it was just a machine that was buzzing… It shouldn’t be this bubbly…
The source is above this. Another slope (><). This area is a park. There are toilets etc. Is it over there? . It is said that sugar was added to the water and drunk as cider. This is a silver spring, and the water temperature is quite low at 13 degrees. It is used at the public bath "Gin no Yu". I thought I'd give it a try. It is no longer usable. Let's also take a look at the source next to it. This source has also stopped. Because it is used in Gin no Yu. I don't think the source has dried up. It seems that it was used until 1998. The ingredients of the hot springs are attached to the surrounding area. Arima is known as the ``birthplace of domestic cider.'' It seems that they were sold to foreigners in the Kobe settlement. In the past, it was called poisonous water because birds and insects died in it. There were many slopes to get to the carbonated hot springs, so I was quite tired. It was fun to learn a lot of things (^^). Sendo Factory Approximately 15 minutes walk from Arashiyama Station on the Hankyu Arashiyama Line Business hours 8:30-18:00 Closed on Wednesdays. There was a store that caught my eye, so I stopped by. That's a carbonated rice cracker you don't see often. Taste it. Carbonated water rice crackers 380 yen, Couver sandwich 380 yen. The location of the shop is 1 minute walk from the carbonated hot spring source. Carbonated rice crackers sandwiched with cream are delicious. It is sold under the name Kubel Sand. Carbonated water rice crackers. What I bought earlier was not carbonated rice crackers, but carbonated water rice crackers. I couldn't tell the difference in taste, but it seems that the recipe is unique, including the proportion of salt. A cute dog. Arima Gelateria Studione About 8 minutes walk from Arima Onsen Station Business hours 10:00-17:00 Closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays + irregular holidays. The shop is a 1-minute walk from the previous rice cracker shop. This shop won the 2019 Gelato World Tour Japan tournament. There are various types (^^). There is also Gerrard when he won the tournament. Japan's best gelato. Very popular. Is it a Pyrenees dog? Double 580 yen. Flavors are Arima Cider & Awajishima Lemon. A sweet sake (non-alcoholic) made with salted mascarpone and kumquats. The salted mascarpone is Gerrard's grand prize. First of all, have some Arima cider. You can feel the gentle acidity and the sweetness that comes after. I also love that they use lemons from Awaji Island. Refreshing! . On top of the salted mascarpone. It's full of kumquats. I like the collaboration between Japanese and Western styles (^^). It looks like a rare cheesecake! . It has the sour taste of kumquats and the unique aroma of amazake. The mascarpone also feels Japanese-style. The salt mascarpone has a strong salt effect and is rich without being too sweet. I chose a flavor that can only be found here. It was my first taste and it was fresh (^^). It was a very satisfying gelato (^^). There were also seats on the second floor. Mitsumori Cafe Kin-no-yu 1 minute walk Business hours 9:30-16:30 (LO 16:00) Closed irregularly. This is a new cafe that offers carbonated rice crackers in various forms. I stopped by because I was attracted by the signboard of the eating out menu (^^). Carbonated Japanese waffle 350 yen. Carbonated rice crackers and butter are sandwiched between waffles. It has an element of butter, making it an irresistible dish for those with a sweet tooth ( ¨̮ ). The store is in a historic building that is over 120 years old. Carbonated water is used in the waffle batter. It's fluffy when you hold it in your hand! . When I tried it, the butter and waffle went together quite well and it was delicious. The waffle had a very fluffy texture probably due to the carbonation. It tastes like a gentle waffle. It's a waffle version of carbonated rice crackers. It was also nice to be able to eat while sitting at eat-in (^^). I returned to Kin no Yu. It's nice to be able to take a footbath for free (^^). There are benches around here where you can take a break. Finally, go to take a bath in Kin no Yu. KOBE Smart Passport can be used here as well. The price is 800 yen for adults on holidays. Well then, let's go. A drink after taking a bath. Face towels and bath towels are also on sale. The bathing fee on weekdays was 650 yen. There are various vending machines in the rest lobby. Arima cider 270 yen. In the past, it was called ``teppo water'' because it made a ``pop'' sound when the bottle was uncorked. The Arima cider had a strong carbonation and was sweet. I couldn't drink much (><). The hot water was really nice (^^). I'll be heading back to Sannomiya soon. It's been a long time since I last visited Arima Onsen (^^). Many new shops have also opened. This is the result of using KOBE Smart Pass. Day 1 Moegi House 400 yen Vienna/Austria House 500 yen Dutch Pavilion (former Walhin House) 700 yen Denmark Pavilion 500 yen Royal Princess 1500 yen Mosaic Ferris Wheel 800 yen Total 4400 yen. 2nd day Rokko Cable 1200 yen (round trip) Arima Toy Museum 800 yen Arima Hon Onsen Kin no Yu 650 yen (weekdays) Total 2650 yen. Total: 7050 yen. It was a bargain of 1150 yen... If you can use the ropeway, the round trip cost is 2060 yen. It was a bargain of 3,210 yen. On the first day, I had a problem in the morning and my departure was delayed. I wish I could go to the herb garden. The total admission fee is 10,910 yen. The ticket price is 5900 yen. With a discount of 5010 yen. I think it felt like a great deal... disappointing…. It's also a shame that I couldn't show you the night view from Mt. Rokko at the end... I returned to Sannomiya on the first day. It's been a long time since I've been to Kobe and Arima, which was fun (^^). When I lived in Kobe, it was too local for me. I have never visited all the sightseeing spots at once. I realized that it's fun to tour from a tourist's perspective (^^). In the future, I would like to visit a little deeper place. Thank you for watching this far. See you again in the next video! .
