Join Me as I explore Nozawa Onsen in Nagano Japan!

Hi there welcome to Japan and Nosa onen a ski resort town in Nagano I’m here with my daughter on a hey say hey she’s uh listening to uh books on the iPad and drawing and stuff so sheing at the room now after uh being out snowboarding or

A.m. so now back at the hotel here we are staying it uh here quite a mess but uh it’s a Japanese style uh uh room with the photons uh and stuff and this low tables but uh however uh going to show you guys a bit of the town I’m going to

Leave my daughter here Shilling so yeah uh let’s head out to noav onen um we staying in this type of guest house or something here quite nice place for your Yoshi but uh heading out here you have to put on your shoes so done ready Out it’s a very nice day today very sunny uh it’s been great up there in the mountains uh uh so this is is uh down here in the village the center is uh further up there so this is the bus that uh we took uh in the morning to go up to the

Gondola station and from there you take the gondola up way up in the mountains where there is a lot of snow got actually a lot of powder nownow also so but here in the village it’s about now in the daytime it’s about 5° Celsius think nsaba onen is uh an onen

Town also and onen means means uh hot spring so there is uh uh like many bats that you can go to and have this Japanese style hot thermal bats uh Yes bit of snow here but not that much yeah so hot spring area this way maybe go this way then oh yeah so we in this trip we first went to Tokyo and from there we took uh uh the shinkansen to Nagano station it was like 2 hours and

Then from there we took a bus to hakuba Valley but I didn’t film anything there but it was uh like great uh ski resort uh like there was 10 key Resorts that you can go to and stuff we stayed there for four nights and then just got here yesterday from hakuba Valley was

Like an hour with a bus to get to no apparently you can see the snow monkeys it’s a big thing they advertise it everywhere maybe have to go there someday can’t miss out on the snow monkeys we were walking here last night so I was planning to take the same route

But now having a bit of trouble locating where I am but let’s get lost uh in the alleys here or was it this way the Alys of msab Onan here is some pathway get to the center of the Thermal Zone kind of cool these small Alleyways with all the water running so about

5° in daytime and minus 5 in [Applause] nighttime oh here’s some cory fish small koi in [Applause] this maybe quite fish did you see it um where is the thermal Zone I think these are bath house this is a bath house but obviously can’t go inside now but yes here is the

Outside oh here’s the bigger koish I actually keep koi myself in Sweden and now I have them in the garage over the winter I have two but not this size the slopes uh up there there in the mountains which actually very good could compare it to huba

Valley but obviously here is just one mountain you can ski on maybe maybe more but uh uh yeah so more more Mountains in hakuba Valley but this is not so far away so this is a bath house um can go inside I think most of these are free of charge some cost money

But huh have to try one so here yes here is the place up this road it is got lost a bit so that guest house we are staying at costs about € 100 a night kind of expensive but it’s an very cool Village and also have uh snowboarding ski so I I get

It oh here it here it smells like sulfur uh must be from the Hot Springs hot water inside here it’s very hot water this is probably warm warm warm water running down Here strawberry G and then there’s an orange some sh Take a selfie here for maybe the Thumbnail check out this shop oh that’s you awesome caram what’s this honey yeah Honey continue on this very cool place oh what the f here is an you can access this one this water hot Yes actually yeah must be over 40° inside this one very hot is that that one is boiling you see then the hot water continues down uh in the village

There’s The Street of Shops very Japanese Vibes here is the lift uh there is an escalator up uh to the ski slope area where the Gonda is we came down here earlier today from the slopes I’m thinking that I bring the GoPro up on the mountain and uh I

Can show you a bit of how the ski slope looks like in the end of this video Let’s head up to this uh here is some Temple Area escalator up to the ski slope I know I don’t know if you can catch the views here but kind of amazing dad is this water this is cold water okay B the ice here but very pleasant weather I was expecting a bit of bit more snow down in the village so I

Brought a lot of like snowy clothes but it’s just up when you go up uh with the gondola about th000 M up then you have a lot of snow but not down in the village at this old wooden Temple thing oh is there a peak hole what’s

This oh it’s uh you can dong ding dong I can’t see anything there this must be the Old Town old toown NOA there is like full of people up in the mountain but almost nobody down here now maybe people are skiing until 3 uh the lifts are closing at uh uh 3:30

P.m. wow this is just very cool huh with very cool building this was all dark uh last night so and didn’t see anything almost so new to me [Applause] also close wonder what the inside this probably like some meditation or something h it’s kind of cool that you have this top

Uh skiing and snowboarding just up uh these mountains and then you have all this traditional kind of Japanese stuff that you want to see uh down in the village oh this one you can just push onto that yeah over there is the G one other Gondola station that we took this

Morning and then we got back from with another so you now when there is uh a bit of less snow the slopes down are closed it’s just up on the mountains that they are open but enough enough slopes anyways F There’s some guys getting down from the mountain oh what’s that like gods or something probably they have small caps no SAA onen they have this great uh bus uh uh company called uh snow shuttle Nagano or something they uh you they connect all these uh ski towns and Tokyo Airport also with the

Different buses so you don’t even have to take the train was a bit of a hassle with the shinkansen from Tokyo since it was so many people in Tokyo Station and I had a lot of bags and stuff so thinking about taking the bus uh back to Tokyo actually from here since

Uh yeah this will be our last ski resort town and then head to Tokyo for a couple of days before heading back to Sweden NOA onome the Olympic Winter Games Nago 1998 oh so this was also a place where they have some had some Olympic uh contests then uh because there was a lot of Olympic stuff there in in uh hakuba Valley uh had a big Olympic sign and Stuff so down here we had break uh had dinner last night we grilled the meat on the table I don’t really remember remember what it’s called but I have to check here was this place and here is some uh hotel onen that’s only for guests hello hello

Hello so this was all lit up last night and stuff it’s very Cool but not not a public one so I have to stay in some hotel to get access to this one and here we had dinner last night was finger looking good this one vagi Yaki Shabu so we we grilled this on the table I could have ate two of those but

Uh 7,700 Yen so only one for me but could easily have eight too very good oh here is a bath here is a bath house that I know is a bath house also uh which uh I think this one is uh kind of famous and I will probably go inside this one

Tomorrow but uh you can’t film see you see here is a man’s side side and Lady side and apparently the water is very very hot so yeah we’ll see how I Manage so here is the center now of Nosa hen uh with restaurants and uh shops and uh hotels there is a lot of Australian people here also uh and uh yeah Americans some Americans I’ve seen but no Swedish people yet here some that’s some kind of dumpling Thing almost one take on this video just uh some small editing in the in the beginning when I was walking up a boring Street uh near our guest house but otherwise I think I make this just one take lot of gift shop with all this candy stuff and oh there they have some

Cool stuff here I was looking for these statues maybe maybe they have the statues in here I can go byy later don’t didn’t bring any money now dolls not for sale oh kind of expensive 24,000 oh here is the sck no this is okay yeah yeah let’s head out

Here is the vending machine these are all over kind of nice to just buy some drinks and stuff classic Japanese vending machine ah they have some what’s this dumping I pork pork bun okay thank you I got the pork bun so this is the center Burritos all right this is the stet back to Our Guest House uh hope you uh enjoyed this uh little tour of uh noav onen and uh yeah I’ll bring uh the GoPro uh out uh up on the mountain tomorrow and then I can add some shots uh from

The ski Resort or the slopes up there so uh then uh you will get I think the picture of how this uh uh Village is and I really recommend you guys going here that’s very cool ski Lockers in the hotel Basement ready to go out to the bus the bus just came when we got out the door so now we’re already on the bus bus to the to the Gonda hello so uh this is a free bus uh picking up a different hotels uh and uh taking us to

The uh yeah Gondola station so we can get up on the mountain kind of convenient actually got off the bus and uh heading to the gondola station so over there that should take us up on the mountain let’s see it’s over here we already got tickets for three days yesterday so
