Spent the day with my Wife in her hometown located on the western edge of Shizuoka, Hamamatsu is a center for artistic and skilled craftsmanship. Thanks to the neighboring Pacific Ocean, a river, mountains, and brackish lake Lake Hamana with onsen resorts, there is no shortage of leisure opportunities. Tokugawa Ieyasu’s Hamamatsu Castle, constructed in 1570, is another attraction.
