Good afternoon everybody uh welcome to the within Japan Channel just going to show you bus ride today that that’s it really I’ve been sitting down on that particular chair there as the weather is really horrible outside it’s ridiculously wet and cold and uh I’m I’m sitting here trying to not spend money
Not go to the shop because if I go to the shop I’m going to spend money and saporo is not too far away and uh yeah if the mental illness from me sitting here doesn’t get to me uh first um then uh yeah then I will be
Actually going to seoro with a bit of a budget which is uh very nice I’ve been while I’ve been sitting around here I’ve been um looking at saporo I’ve been been to saporo a lot but I was thinking there must be a lot I haven’t
Seen and there is so much I haven’t seen it’s ridiculous um and there’s other towns and locations very close to Sapore that I’ve never been to before some of them literally just 20 minutes on the train away otaro a very good example of uh somewhere I must be going this time
Around hey Russell Hi mad header um I don’t know if any of you been to otaro before but they have um a canal there which is going to be pretty snowed over I think it’d be better in summer than winter but they’ve got a Railway Museum
There and of course I’m into train so I’ll most probably go out uh to otaro to have a look at that but uh what I didn’t know was they also have a light display on at the same time the saporo snow Festival is on which is interesting is
It not um and also going the other way there is a natural uh Onsen like outside so picture snowing beautiful hot Onsen or hot spring outside that you sit in again about half an hour out of saporo but they also have um a light display uh
When the saora snow Festival is on as well the um the one in otaro is free the one in uh the onen town though unfortunately it’s very very expensive it’s it’s 500 uh 500 yen so you know uh really really cheap he says so hopefully I’ll get to go to these you’ve been
Having storms here M it’s hot and muggy here wishing It Would Rain it was hot and muggy here yesterday uh it it was really uncomfortable yesterday today it’s just raining raining and and bitterly cold and the weather is uh crap I’ve been watching the live cam of saporo uh which
I posted on the Facebook page of the planes landing in saporo and that doesn’t it look nice oh my God it looks amazing uh but hopefully we’ll get some hot weather soon anyway we’re just going to go for a bus ride in uh saporo today

Very closely you’ll see the uh Memorial Tower the one that’s now gone um to give you an idea of where that was um you’ve just started editing them how did you like Japan Sam how do you feel now you’re back in Australia did have you been out and about in Australia
Yet have you uh have you noticed how bad Australia is compared to Japan now that you’ve been there and you’ve come back um like yeah the weather’s the same here though Sam you might have noticed is what you were having in Japan cold he says I just love like I I know we’re
Just looking out a bus window and a lot of you are most probably bored with this but I just find snow so fascinating coming from a place that has no snow I find it fascinating and the way you get the trees and they’re so dark cuz obviously they’ve lost all
Their leaves or whatever but you know they’re so dark in contrast with the beautiful white snow I think it’s the most beautiful thing honestly I’ve seen in my whole entire life snow love it it looks so nice it does doesn’t it well I could stare at this sort of
Thing all day this is why I catch the the train and you know I I go to hakodate and seor by train quite often a lot of people say oh my God it’s a long way which it is but you get to look at this the whole way um and this I will
Never get sick of this I find it just so relaxing so stressfree just so so beautiful and then when the sky is completely blue um which it isn’t here but when the sky is completely blue it’s just it’s just magical your fly coming back with 3 hours delayed why was it delayed

Whole time for this trip literally the whole time um and uh they will be edited videos they’ll only be like 5 minutes but I’ve used chat GP uh I’m still playing around with jet J chat GP but um I I I got it to write me a script and
Um with the script it’s it’s going to get me to to film and do stuff now it it got me to do the script for the saporo TV tower one and it tells you what camera angles to do what to say yada yada y so I’m going to do that um but
The one in the historical Village of Hokkaido I got inspiration from this cat GP thing even though I didn’t use it for that one where it was like oh hang on a second I want to try do something in the historical Village of haido the crosses
Uh one of my favorite movies of all times and one of my favorite singers and musicals of all time so I’m going to attempt to to film me acting something in the historical Village of aido uh if I have it on the left hand
Side of the bus I have it on the I’m on the right hand side of the bus heading to towards the station Shin Soro I’m on the right hand side but um I do want to know where it is Sora J cuz I want to go in
There uh boring Christmas Pauline here I hope you had a good one uh with the the grandkids mom said her at Christmas was amazing there we go apparently the the doctor has yeah apparently anyway I won’t get into that on here but yeah Mom had an amazing Christmas someone on the
Sky bus was sitting in the wheelchair spot and they wouldn’t move so the driver told them off and to move this was in Australia obviously Sam I’m guessing it wouldn’t have happened it wouldn’t have happened in Japan I’ve only called two buses in Japan three buses in
Japan and I’ve got lost on them every time actually this one I didn’t get lost on uh but coming here I got lost I ended up walking here in the end I ended up walking a couple of kilometers cuz I caught the wrong bus I I don’t
Understand it was explained to me about the buses there I still don’t get it though cuz the number is really long and one part of the number means one thing and one part of the number means the root number and something else and something it’s really I can’t get it I
Don’t that’s why I like trains you can’t ever go wrong with a train ever a nice welcome home from Sam not no that’s it that’s it Pauline um you know now Sam is come back from Japan the problem he’s going to have is uh uh everything is heightened sense sensory
Wise so you know I’m not a big fan of Australia anyway but when I come back to Australia from Japan I I do fall into quite depression in some ways because everything is highlighted when you don’t go to Japan for example so like if you lived in Australia all your life or went
To Indonesia or whatever because it’s the norm you get used to the norm do you know what I mean but when you go to Japan and you realize what they do there and you come back you realize this is not the norm and it really depresses

Dylan there’s a plugin for more powerful editing software it’s well it was through my editing software that I actually um that it said to me it said did you know that chat AI or whatever it’s called um is is on your editing software and I didn’t know and I clicked the button and
It said do you want us to write you a script do you want us to do this do you want us to do this so I said oh we look type me a script and it said okay tell us what you want us to write a script
About and I said oh suppor TV Tower and um yeah it wrote a it wrote a script with camera angles and all so for example it starts off with uh and this is what they wrote they wrote background music fades in so they tells you how to
Do that then it says narrator uh welcome to another exciting episode of within Japan today we’ll be taking you on a virtual tour of the seoro TV tower also known as and I can’t read that anyway it goes through and then it says now do a scene transition of an aerial view of
The tower now do this now do this really interesting so I’m going to give these a go when I go to saporo this time um as as as I say like my my time in Japan is very limited so I just literally usually just have the camera
On record and that’s why you get this sort of stuff which is not popular people don’t watch it but when when you’re only there for a week or two you’ve got to like maximize your you know your time in filming stuff but I thought no when I’m in seoro this time
Around I’m just going to make two or three or or four little videos and use chat GPT um I’ll type in a couple of things in seoro and just or or challenges or something and just see what it comes up with so if you got any ideas that you want me to
Throw into chat uh GP uh for a potential scrip andoro let me know and we’ll see what it comes up with Narito airport viewing platform before the flight nice I noticed that somebody today was at the airport in seoro with a on the top of the car with
A massive camera I’m assuming they worked for a film company or or a TV company or something um they had a massive camera filming down there a send me the store coordin thank you very much Sor J has been so very very helpful to us um he’s been uh
Sending me the the cam links and that making me feel really really home sick you know somebody suggested in fact because they said and and they actually know me saporo J so when I say to you I love saporo it’s very rare Mark says anything positive like this which I think you all
Know but like actually in real life um I physically love saporo and somebody said to me um actually it could have been Russell it could have I don’t know who it was but somebody said to me why don’t you make your channel entirely on saporo um and uh that sort of area
Because no YouTubers cover that area and it was like well you know I think they would prefer a YouTuber that has people watching them but you know a Melbourne AI would be good I did a Melbourne AI script and it was and it came up with um uh I I wrote Melbourne
Is feral that’s what I told Chad GP and it came up with the script of um the locals in Melbourne are referred to as feral they’re animals like nowhere else on the planet this is what C GPC said and I thought oh wow this is funny uh
But yeah do the AI for the suppor beer factory already done that one yep absolutely uh did that one as well um and the saporo beer factory is going to be the easiest one to do to do like a 5 minute video cuz they have a museum
There plus I eat there on my birthday so I’ll be able to go this is a museum this is the food this is the beer you know I’ll physically be trying it all it’s my it’s my birthday go to that’s just plane spotting streamer on
YouTube what on on the saporo thing no I don’t think so his camera was huge him I I think he was with a TV company the cars are I do you know I I’ve said it before a long time ago but when I’m in Japan my brain gets a bit
Confused cuz I think I could walk in front of one of these cars it doesn’t matter if it hits me it’s not going to hurt but then my brain sort of goes well well it might her don’t try it but honestly they look so cute and so soft
These little cars don’t they uh you think there’s no way that could hurt me but they’re so big inside I don’t know if you’ve been in a Japanese car before but they’re actually really big inside they’re tall rather than long uh goodbye suppor OJ not long till

Because I bought the unlimited lifetime shooting pack cuz I’m a student um go figure but I’ve just never used them before you know some of the features you can turn it into text and edit from text so it’ll edit the video from the text so

Features those thumbnails I use now now you might all be going oh that’s just AI generated it it’s not actually it’s a little bit of it is but not much of it is um it’s actually me learning how to edit and I know they’re not very good but that has different
Components in it which is teaching me how to edit because I’ve now learned that I can you know take me away without the green screen but then I have to put the shadow of me in and you I’ve got to do all this sort of stuff so I am
Learning but again you know when you got 10 people watching you Dylan and uh you look at your analytics and it’s $0 per video um you you it’s kind of Soul crushing do you know what I mean and you just don’t feel like going through the hard work because
It is hard work it’s hard work to to learn how to do this but um but yeah I I have a lot of walking videos on YouTube that you haven’t seen so they’re loaded up for 20 24 so I thought well when I go to seoro I can literally just do three
Or four edited videos and then when I come back if it takes me a month or a few months to edit them so be it but I will run entirely off the the scripts the chat GP scripts um and you know see what they come up with as I say I didn’t
Realize they did camera shots and that you know do this camera shot do this do this I never knew I did that so it’s going to be if anything it’s going to be interesting to uh try they use big cameras for zooming in oh I see Sam right
Gotcha he he had security with him though we enjoy what you show see you enjoy I think if youve been to Japan before um you would enjoy what I show because I I don’t show anything groundbreaking but you sort of like REM like for example this reminds me of
Walking down the road for example so if you’ve been in Japan before it sort of brings back that nice little memory um I’ll be back because I’m about to talk thank you good well there you go everybody that was our little uh bus ride back to the shin
Station this is where the shinkon will eventually come into saporo when it finally gets here in the next God knows 10 years or something it’s a fair way out of saporo shin saporo uh but it is connected to the underground subway system which gets you back into

Uh some of them are loads of sub here I can remember where to go the bus drivers are so B it’s the bus drivers are crazy in Japan absolutely crazy uh in case you don’t know what that noise is uh because it I used to work for public transport and there used
To be certain uh noises um or for codes to the do you know what I mean like hold up type thing um but the ones in Japan all their noises are designed to calm you down to keep you uh so that’s what they’re for um including their lighting at the end of
The train stations in some of the more stressful areas uh tourist areas for example like sjuku and that at the end of the train stations you might see some blue lights um and the blue lights actually stops you or assists in stopping you from wanting to commit
Suicide there we go bet you never knew that but these things actually do work it’s not just the case that we put a blue light up and they actually work so U if you ever see a blue light in in Japan um around a busy area or a
Stressful area that’s what that thing does and the is just to calm you down the bird you hear uh from um uh New York they they uh recorded the bird noises in New York that’s quite unusual to hear them because you’re in an underground train station on the platform and you
Hear you why is there a bird here it’s to literally calm you down Shin uh oh what does Shin mean I I know this um oh God Sam my my brain’s gone blank I know what Shin means um B but basically everywhere you hear Shin
Uh it has something to do with the the Shin Shin conen Shin Shin conen du sorry the brain is not working so Shin Shin Osaka shinon they shinon sen stations right so if you see uh Shin saporo even though the shin content is not there that’s where the
New that’s what it means thank you um yes so um it it means where the shin con’s going to be that’s it thank you the noise and chirps on the street are in the stations are actually enjoyable to hear yes they are they they really
Calm you down as I say like one of the best noises it’s not everywhere in Japan it’s in a lot of places but uh you know if you’ve been to saporo in the winter and you are trying to sleep in your hotel room you will just hear the
Traffic lights in your hotel room right um and you might go that will be annoying or jeez those traffic lights are very loud but you know they put you to sleep so godamn quick just hearing that you know and it’s like that it’s like a big gap in between you’re just
Staring at the window I always have the curtains open and suppor and you watch the snow coming down and the lights sort of like Illuminating the snow you know the and you hear that beep oh it’s just it’s ever so relaxing but yeah all of these things are designed you know how
We got all these wonderful counselors in Australia and America and they said obviously don’t do their job very well because the problems aren’t getting better they’re getting worse well in Japan they actually do things that actually do help you and it’s to do with sound and lights and I’m a big one um
Especially with lights with my eyes um when they do stuff that um uh you know thingy miggies does something uh at least by working this you can work out where I’m going that’s how I figured out when I went to Japan um not the first time cuz I didn’t want
To go but the second time I watched those walking videos but that’s why I thought and nobody ever watches them the Choose Your Own Adventure videos I honest because I’ve done three now I knew the one I just released I knew none of no one would watch it I think six of
You watched it or something but um I really thought that they were going to take off I thought that was my ticket to actually getting some views because if you’re ever going to Japan the Choose Your Own Adventure videos are the most logical videos you could watch
The one on akih harbra for example you’re not looking for anything you’re just deciding where to walk in akih harra and you know you can’t go left you can’t go right you can’t go forward you can’t go back and and see the area um and yeah so my second trip to Japan
That’s how I knew where to go um before I left Australia I I looked getting from the airport to the the train station uh from the train station to my hotel so therefore I didn’t need Google Maps or anything cuz I’d already seen it it was
Like all right I get out of the train station and I turn left and I do this and I do this The Crossing sounds funny it’s nice isn’t it it’s same as your doorbell at home so now you just sit there and and play with your doorbell do you so like every every
Five minutes you pretend to stop your train and uh you and then you uh djr mobile 6 for Christmas oh Sam you were spoiled that’s so cool what did you do on Christmas day in Japan what did you end up eating or doing dude you are so
Spoiled wow we’re all uh waiting in anticipation to see your video Sam of uh Japan so um get them online quick he says I hope you film like lots and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots I’ve been playing with my uh DJI pocket 3 to learn some different
Things that this does um so yes slowly slowly learning I don’t know how it’s going to go in the snow but we will see no you you should have uh you should have taken it with you you ate KFC you managed to get KFC on Christmas day
That’s a mission in itself that’s very good Sam big camera yeah the um my hous mate is looking for a computer and I said to him if you’re right down the model and the type and that um I can go on a big camera and get it um I really do want oh
Man this is this is going to require me sitting at home and not moving until I go to Japan obviously which I have to do anyway but then if if I buy what I want and I shouldn’t because it’ll take all my money then I will be eating 7-Eleven
Chicken for every meal in Japan and I’ll just be hanging around my hotel in the snow Festival you know what I’m saying CU I tell you a big camera you do get uh discount with your passport so you get taxfree which is 10%
You get an extra 5% if you use a card it doesn’t have to be a cred card is just got to be a card but you can also I don’t know if you know this you can also barter with the price you can ask them to bring down the price to a better
Price there is a way you have to do it though and that is you ask them to bring down the price first before you show them the passport to take the tax free off because once they see you using the passport for the tax free off there’s
Pretty low chance they’re going to move so ask them for the best price first and when they say a price go well can you do it for this or can you you Chuck something in then show them your passport they’ll take the tax off the price that they’ve quoted and then show
Them the card then they’ll take the extra uh 5% off you can just uh attach your your gimbal to the wheelchair that’s interesting I I I want to see that just remember though Sam when you’re adding about in Melbourne just be careful with with your Tech um I
Know the action camera is small enough for you to hold or hide or whatever but when you’re with a a big gimbal um just you know be very weary around melbour with it because idiots will you know grab stuff he says I I want to buy a set of those glasses those AR
Glasses which I yeah which I most probably won’t end up getting because they will be way way way way way way way way out of the budget they will be um but see if I if I was going to Tokyo there would have been a cheaper older version of the makaki
Harbra but in saporo in fact I don’t even know if saporo will sell them even in big camera I don’t think they’d sell them but um it is something that I’ll be looking at most probably buying in 2024 I think it might be um actually a good
Investment not not so much for for uh YouTube all that but a good investment for me with my eyes uh no I only know the Australian price um and they they’re not cheap at all um they’re absolutely not cheap so I was in Australia they’re like
$500 I’m pitching in Japan they might be about $300 maybe but yeah I don’t know it’s uh it’s something I’m in no rush for anyway it’s just you know when you’re in Japan you you buy Tech stuff in Japan because it’s cheaper so um if I don’t get them this time
Around it depends on how much money I go away with anyway it depends if any bills come in between now and when I leave um if I don’t get them this time around I’ll be back in Japan throughout 2024 no doubt so there’ll be other opportunities for me to get
Them um that’s why you buy black Tech so it Blends in yeah get you there Sam gotcha yeah wise move um one thing you didn’t have to worry about was your Tech in Japan of course very safe within Japan um but yeah even here I I’ve not
Really been out with the pocket 3 I was going to go out and film the Christmas uh projections and that for you all and I do actually want to go out to learn how to use the camera I haven’t really used it but it’s just too much of a risk

Money nobody’s catching it now absolutely nobody’s catching it and the video I was watching last night was one of the trains worked out at I I can’t remember the actual figure now but it was something like 22 it worked at at something like 22 cents per trip or something or rather
But it’s only making because of the population now um it it’s only making something like two cents a trip or something rather you know so in other words nobody’s catching the train anymore everybody’s moved into the city areas so the timer is on to see Hokkaido by train and although Russell is saying

One um so it really depends where you’re going some of the um there are some some big towns in in Hokkaido apart from hakodate and seoro and so there is versions of transport to them EG buses of course there is um but but like if you picture if if this phone is
Haido and this is hakodate and this is saporo basically if you draw a line here everything on the island here there’s pretty good transport one way or the other right buses Etc but as you go further up up here the rest of the country um there’s buger roll and and
Some of the places up here can only literally be accessed via train uh they do have roads but the roads are too you know long way around and too yada yada yada so yeah how far from the main Toro station will it be that video I just showed you
Now is where it’s going to be so when we got off the bus at that video at the end of the video that’s uh Shin seoro station that’s where it’s going to be so that’s 20 minutes out of saporo um so it will connect to the underground
Seoro has an underground rail network um Metro whatever you want to call it so it it connects up to that 20 minutes out I’m not quite sure why they couldn’t have taken the shinon S into saporo station I think there’s plenty of room there but I think they
I think it’s just like Osaka like the shin Osaka is quite a fairway away from Namba um but I think it’s because they look at Future extensions yeah in saying the top part of haido is dying population wise yes it is that’s why they’re going to close
Down all the the trains up there but you know in 50 or 100 years time 200 years time 300 years time whatever you know it will eventually be populated up there so at some point it will be extended again but not in our lifetime okay so 40
Minutes from the airport 20 minutes uh from the station yeah yeah uh it will be I was going to say well here’s a difference uh Russell um when you come from the airport into saporo you’re you’re coming into saporo station so in other words you’re coming into the
Heart the heart of the central business district right which means you’re getting off at seoro station and then you’re either having to walk to your hotel which is going to be a fairway away um or catching another train a Metro you know an underground subway train that if you’re coming from the
Airport with the uh shinon sen connecting up with the shin saporo station you then hop on the Underground Metro which is then taking you literally through the the city properly you know what I mean so you can get off the Metro stop and you can get off at like the
McDonald’s where I go to or you can get off at um you know at Dory Park or you can get off somewhere else so it’s going to be um better to arrive on the shinkon S than the plane he says however because out of tourist season um when you land at saporo
Airport it’s not a big ask anyway it’s not a big task it’s not a hard thing to do whatever do you know what I mean but as the city grows I dare say will be um but it’s also a long trip from if you went from Tokyo to
Um saporo on the shink con s it’s it’s a long way the plane would be quicker but you know you got to you got to pay to get to the airport you got to piss fart r at airports I hate piss fting around at airports even now with the local train I
Still catch the local trains of aoro rather than fly that when we did 14 cities in 14 days I called the local train to aoro from hak you know it was a 4-Hour trip so yeah it’s okay but um enjoy all I can say is enjoy suppor while there is no real decent
Transport connections to it um because as it gets easier to get there with the shinon SS and and are like you know this city is just going to get bigger and bigger and busier and busier and busier um at the moment they don’t advertise you know the beer festival the German festival

Bail and because it was a teacher they weren’t allowed to see the private documentation about the guy um so this teacher said oh everybody’s got the right to be free let him on the street so he was bailed by the teacher to then go and mow down over 40 people killing
Six of them so it’s it’s it’s crazy in this country what new things have I learn about the DJI camera oh that’s a really good deviation I like that deviation um I’ve learned I did learn some things what did I learn oh now you asking me um what did I learn oh I
Learned you know how when you go from light to dark or dark to light how how it can um you know go too bright and then it’s got to adjust or vice versa too dark it’s got to adjust you can set it so that it doesn’t need to do that so
It’s perfect inside it like in the whole scale of thing so you can do the pan shot and it’s like it’s fine so I learned that um I learned I actually learned something really good what was it I can’t remember what it was Dylan I’m I’m I’m learning about it as much as
I can um there is a video I don’t know who did it but if you YouTube it it’s 100 it’s called 100 tips for the DJI pocket 3 and they are all really good tips they are all really good tips there is so much to uh to learn with this camera
Um and I can’t think of any of them at the moment yeah but but no but what I’m saying is the iso settings yes you can do it with the iso settings if you if you’re doing all that manual stuff I’m no good at that manual stuff right so
Yeah if if you do it manually then all of this stuff what I’m you know what I said to you there is like piece of piece it’s like yeah whatever no no I’m talking about in auto mode you can you can get it to do this transition thing
Where it doesn’t flare out and that so basically this camera is so good from a the sensor and that in it but it it it is designed for either really really stupid people or people that are professional that can go into all those advanced settings and do
All that sort of stuff uh so yeah um oh I learned how to pan lock uh with it um I don’t know I’m I’m still learning anyway but um I I’m just so impressed with it I I haven’t had an opportunity to go out and use it much though Dylan
As I say cuz I’m in Melbourne and I don’t want to get the camera broken but uh I got some screen protectors for it from Ali Express so there’s a screen protector there and on the lens um oh now it uh does a log file of the audio
Even with my DJI microphone ones it will do a actually this is what it does so you you can do a backup audio track in the camera now right uh which will save on your SD card it also records a backup file on your microphone which is great
But what you can do now as well is this will allow you to do several different audio tracks as an example if I’ve got my microphone on it will record me into here but then it’ll do an extra audio track where it’s just doing the sound
Without me so say if this is on a tripod over there right for example it’ll record me right but it’ll also record on a separate track the the sound around you know of cars and whatever and it’ll be in lineal is it called the 3D thing so in uh post- production when I’m
Editing if I just don’t want to hear my voice and I do want to hear that car or I want to hear that noise or whatever I can actually add that into the track right because there’s four microphones on there it records four lots of Audio Plus your microphone so
That you have four different tracks to play with I hope that I hope explained that right when search your film techniques and trying to figure out the type of content I want to make it’s so hard and the thing is Dylan if if nobody watches you um you you kind
Of lose energy to try do the effort of making the content you know I mean it’s kind of difficult I’m just loow to talk on camera Sammy was like that Um uh you should be able to talk on camera and you’ve just got to switch your brain off from thinking you’re talking to a camera I like even when I’m talking to you now I’m completely unaware that a camera is on that a webcam is on at all um I’ve never ever
Worried about talking to camera anyway um I’ve always had jobs in my younger days before cameras were invented where I used to have to talk on microphones and that so I’m pretty used to talking microphones anyway but I don’t concentrate on anything that I’m talking too so if I was in a
Room and you know there was like over a thousand people in the room room I had no problem talking on microphone because I just didn’t even realize literally didn’t even realize there was a thousand people in the room you you’ve just got to switch that part
Of your brain off that part of the brain which is directly behind your eyes in other words don’t let your eyes your eyes are the thing that puts you off from talking on camera or on microphones um so literally just um stare off into obliv so to
Speak don’t even think the camera is there don’t even look at the camera if you’re looking at the camera anyway I I know I don’t make eye contact with the camera you should but if I looked at the camera like this I wouldn’t be talking
As freely as I would because you do see that thing in your face and it it kind of looks a bit daunting and a bit weird and you know it’s not a person type thing um so I don’t do that I don’t recognize the cameras there I don’t even
Recognize the microphones here um so that’s why sometimes my audio is clipping or whatever because I’m too close or too whatever too far away CU I don’t even recognize that the microphone’s there so just talk just talk as if you’re talking to um a person as if you’re having a phone call with
Your mom or your auntie or your nan or whatever um I I know mainly from my eyes I read out your comment loud which is silly cuz your comment’s on the screen but if I don’t even read out your comments in the back of my head I just
Have a voice going on in the back of my head like you are that person physically talking to me not typing um so yeah don’t concentrate on the microphone don’t even recognize it’s there good way to practice literally you know get your phone when you’re adding
About sometime um and just hold it in your hand press record hold it in your hand don’t physically say you know uh this is a bridge I am standing at like literally just have your phone in your hand like this so it’s picking up your voice and just talk
As if you’re talking to your friend when you’re add and about you know oh my God look at the tree and you know we might go walking over that bridge there and yeah geez but I’m really hungry might go might go grab some of the weed and then
When you go into the shop go oh looking for bloody Coca-Cola you know and just literally talk like that and you will get over the the microphone shyness you shouldn’t be shy or or whatever speaking on a microphone it’s it’s very easy the hardest thing about microphones
Is um not to breathe on them you might have heard of a pop filter uh some people have like um dead cats and that on the microphones um I learned ages ago just not to breathe on the microphone so I can say the letter P and it won’t
P really bugs me now now when you watch the the sport on Australian TV and they have these uh non-journalists commentating these days just you know normal Joe Blows that they pay no money for you know go commentary and they they have their microphone so bloody close and all
They’re doing is breathing on the microphone so all you hear is it’s like oh man just move your microphone away stop breathing on your microphone so yeah that’s the hardest bit just but if you’re wearing a lapel m if you’re wearing a your DJI mic it’s
Not in line of sight with your mouth anyway so you’re not going to get that you’re not going to get that breathing effect on the microphone um but yeah just just randomly talk you know even if it’s talking to yourself when you’re in the shop and you’re going oh God I got
To get milk uh whatever but just have the device recording at the same time um and even though you may not like to hear your voice back by doing it all the time by having that microphone on by knowing that it’s recording it’s it’s getting your brain past that awkward
Stage because prior to you turning on that microphone you weren’t awkward about talking yeah it’s only when you turn on that microphone so you’ve got to literally get to the stage where you’re not even recognizing that it’s on you’re not even thinking about it and the other
Thing is Dylan at the end of the day when you make content or upload the content you’re not going to be watching your content so we not going to be listening back to your voice anyway so really at the end of the day doesn’t really matter what you say on

When it’s on a a pre record video and that’s what you’re looking at doing you only have to say what information you want to pass on you know some things don’t need an explanation at all if I’m showing the seoro TV tower do I really need to explain that it’s a
Tower if I’m in McDonald’s eating a burger do I really have to explain that I’m eating a burger in McDonald’s you know what I mean so you only have to say as much as you want to say um but when you do say you shouldn’t be uncomfortable shy whatever about
Doing it just just say it as if you you’re saying it in real life cuz scripts suck uh what did I do um that um that mobile and you can tell the mobile one when I’m at the train station I was just um being spontaneous there that wasn’t
Scripted you know where you see the four of me that was just spontaneous so I can rattle that off really quick that’s no problem but then when it showed the website you could tell I was reading off a script then because it sounded so not real and and it took me all day
Just to do that audio and it and it sucked it absolutely sucked and even now when I listen to it it absolutely sucks uh short form makes some money if that helps I don’t make short form though as you can tell um it because I don’t make edited videos
Um because I don’t make edited videos it’s no point me doing short form because if I showed like the bus ride we did today in a short form you know it doesn’t do what the video was about which was a whole bus ride um um short form people watch the the short
Form stuff that I have done I have done stuff a long time ago on the channel if you might have seen it um which is short form 5 minutes or or less type thing um I I think that’s better content which it is but again I don’t have the motivation to do it
And I’m I don’t think I’m good at editing and that sort of stuff but if you can do short form content there’s a there’s a good Channel especially if you can do it I don’t know about travel or Japan or something there’s a channel I actually like called atache I don’t know
If you’ve seen their his channel but check out atache he does short form videos and when I say short form they’re usually about 5 minutes or so five six minutes but he has a lot of information a lot of stuff going on in that 5 minute video that a
You don’t turn off because the time goes like that quick you sort of like oh my God it’s the end but there’s so much information and he he sets it out so well as he does it so good as well that you actually walk away from his
Videos not just hearing him rattling off all this sort of stuff but going away from the video remembering it all going ah right now he said this and this and this and this and this is what the money is worth and this is how I do this so uh yeah you
Know um long long long form is just for people that have lost a creative urge like me that just but again as I say like when when I’m in Japan and as it’s a channel called within Japan like what can I do if I go over there for for two weeks or three
Weeks if if I was to do edited videos that would be three or four edited videos in between the scale of me then returning back back in another 6 months time do you know what I mean so it’s it’s just not feasible to do edited or short form videos it’s so I literally
Leave the hotel I press record and I just walk and talk and walk and talk and walk and talk because that’s the only way I I have six months worth of stuff between one trip and the next trip I’m going to have one more candy can and then I’m going to go
Eat 6:30 man but the other thing you got to do as well D which I know you will be able to but I can’t do it when you’re old like me and I know mad had would agree with me here because she’s my age I know Russell would agree with me I know
Pauline would agree with me where I think you Dylan Sam and the younger people have a different mindset to us older people the huge issue I have about YouTube is it’s an unfair playing field and there’s so many people cheating the system and your generation would say
Don’t worry about it let them do whatever they’re doing yada yada yada but as older people it’s it’s just not right and it really cheeses me off so so regardless of if you make the best content edited out right unless you cheat the system nothing’s going to happen for
You and I’ll I’ll show you of that no matter how Grand like the older YouTubers that have been around for 10 15 years they had the audience from the early days so that’s why they’re established and the ones that are doing controversial things they get a new audience right daring stuff all that
Sort of but if you make the best content on the planet and you do it the right way on YouTube now you’re going to get no traction so you got to say to yourself am I in it for the views and the money or can I put up with doing it
The right way and not getting the views and the money and I’m just doing it cuz I want to do it or do I want to cheat the system to get the views and the money so you’ve got to decide all of that from day one I
Didn’t realize it was an unfair playing field when I started and how big the unfair playing field is and so for me it really shits me and I think it’s it it affects me more because I did come on here thinking if I worked really hard or spend the time doing
It I could earn a little bit of money or or you know achieve something something with it and I’ve achieved nothing with it and again you can’t achieve things with it when people are cheating the system so be aware of that if you’re going on YouTube it’s just the way it is
Now if you want to cheat the system and get your channel going go for it but if you want to do it the E ethically right way it’s just going to bug you till the cows come home it bugs me every day absolutely bugs me every

Own adventure thing I thought they would have been good but that didn’t take off um YouTube in Japan is the scare factor or the Factor I’ve realized uh a lot of channels are successful from factors um I know even your mate and sorry to bring him up I won’t
Mention his name or Channel but just as an example about misinformation and it wasn’t just him that did it you knew about the swey card which he mentioned that as well but his latest video he mentioned about you know team Labs uh borderless originally closed down because of the pandemic and
That’s just not true at all it closed down because that was planned for redevelopment way before Co it was always planned for redevelopment so um goes a long way for for Japan content on YouTube and I don’t think it’s just Japan it’s just I only know the Japan
Content you know what I mean I don’t look at English content I’m sure that’s there for England and that as well um but I think good content uh like old TV people made EG James May James May makes some some great content he has dry humor but he makes
Great content edited perfectly sorry to tell y y y I don’t think that that goes off with the younger generation they want that drama and controversy and I I think humor’s gone out the window cuz James May was very humor um and it’s it’s now the Panic Station sort of
Content which is kind of crap yeah if you’re not worried about an audience and you can and you can be firm in your mind with that then go for it the sky is a limit for YouTube with you but if you if you if you’re like me cuz
I’m an older generation and you’re thinking about it not being a fair playing field and people cheating and doing all this sort of stuff it’ll it’ll bug you till the day you die you have so many ways to increase your audience the wrong way yeah and you
Know as I say see you Sam you know when YouTube sells fake subs and Views as well which they do now it it just makes a mockery of their terms and conditions you know because they they don’t ban you for it that’s the thing they don’t ban you
They now realize that they can make money out of it YouTube YouTube is there to make money for YouTube at the end of the day and if somebody’s stupid enough to spend hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of dollars on fake subs and Views they a don’t get that money back you never get
That money back of had Revenue right because fake subs and Views don’t equal watch hours therefore doesn’t equal the ads being watched therefore doesn’t equal add Revenue so these creators are just spending a fortune on fake subs and sure they get sponsorship deals out of it and you know companies give them free
Things and so they do benefit but they don’t benefit off the YouTube ad system however YouTube benefits and this is why YouTube will never ban them um and this is why YouTube now sells them themselves because YouTube then get to go to all these companies and go x amount of
Billions of people watch YouTube look here are the numbers and those numbers you know aren’t real we’re going to S you this advertising space but oh is YouTube so popular is this person so popular and so many people are watching him we’re going to charge you this much for advertising so YouTube’s just
Cashing in you YouTube is a system exactly exactly it’s learning how to play part of the the game it is but I love James man as well his content so good we watching him in Japan that I was showing the housemade today in Japan where he
Ate the the meal on the train and he wasn’t supposed to it was so funny um yeah but you know how how can you play the system see it’s not a like if if everybody could play the system that’s fine but you know a I don’t a I wouldn’t do it
Because it’s a waste of money but I don’t have $100 to get x amount of views on this particular video then $100 for tomorrow’s video and $100 tomorrow’s video you know I don’t have that sort of money I don’t have that money and it is a you
Know I I do understand these younger generation they get addicted to these numbers it’s already been proven with Tik toks and all this sort of it’s it’s all a numbers game so they will pay all of their uh money towards these fake numbers but it’s just it’s just not
Right it should be it should be banned it should have severe consequences to it but but it doesn’t because again it makes YouTube money right if everybody was on the same plane field and I still got no views and still never got in the algorithm and and whatever I would be totally
Understandable that my content is completely and nobody wants to watch me I get that but when it’s an unfair system it’s it’s just so wrong and it does kill a lot of like I’m old I’m going to be dead soon anyway so it doesn’t bother me but there’s a lot of
These young kids that the try and their content is so good and then they give up never to be seen again because people cheat the system and it’s just so very wrong it’s it’s just crazy wrong it’s way to build a social platform yeah so you know I don’t know what do you
Do I no matter how my content is or what I do I still think that it is better than a lot of content out there that get a lot of views and when I say a lot of content there is a lot of on YouTube worse than me trust me those
Reaction videos for a start um you know where they just play a song go oh yeah I really like that song I mean like come on come on seriously but they um you know they buy views they buy Subs they get in the algorithm it
Gets you in the algorithm if I paid for 10,000 views for this video I’d be in the algorithm of YouTube overnight but I’m not going to do it I refuse to I’m so low because I’m I’m out of the algorithm thing completely um I’m completely out off YouTube’s algorithm
And the more videos I pump out the worse and worse and worse it gets because YouTube says it’s not a 100 videos that nobody’s watching it’s now you know a thousand videos that nobody’s watching or whatever and so I fall f further down and further down and further down and further down and
Further down um and you know it it can all change uh but it can’t change from having a viral video I can’t get a viral video because I’d never be watched I’d never be found I’d never be suggested uh uh you know it might be suggested to you
As a subscriber but you know it won’t come up in a general search for somebody it’d be pretty rare the only way I could get it ticking over to get back in the algorithm is to spend and that’s why YouTube recommended to me if I go into my YouTube studio now
It’ll say to me do a YouTube promotion which is fake uh fake views if I did fake views if I did 10,000 fake views on this video now uh I’d be in YouTube’s algorithm tomorrow and the other videos would get a few more views not a lot it
Would get a few more views and then if I did the next video and did 10,000 views pay for 10,000 views I’ll be in the algorithm a little bit more a little bit more and a little bit more little a little bit more it’s the only way to do
It and uh there’s so many ways to to to see if somebody is buying fake Subs I years ago um he’s left now but there was a guy called Brian that worked in Google that I used to deal with directly um and he was going through with me about you know people buying
Fake subs and fake views and how to tell and you know when the numbers different on their videos compared to their live streams and numbers jumping up and going down and jumping up and going down and you know when there’s that boost that automatic boost um the time limit your
Time when the subs are going on there usually it goes in uh minute increments and then there’ll be a gap and then there’ll be minute increments and then a gap and so he taught me all of them um and just so many people do it hello back
I’m about to go soon and cook dinner how much is uh 10,000 use I can tell you right it’s way too expensive I mean you got to be insane to pay for them that’s that’s the point but these young kids are all about uh they’re all about
Numbers so this one is uh 50 50% off sale uh Services YouTube Services YouTube views uh 5,000 views is uh half price at the moment it’s $18.80 so you know uh the one channel we’re talking about that buys like 10,000 views that’s um you know 30 $35 roughly
$35 so if you if you’ve only got one video coming out a week as an an example and you’re buying 10,000 views for $35 is it worth it well I suppose in sponsorship deals it can be do you know what I mean because um you do get SP like I’ve
Contacted companies before and they go we’re not interested in you because you don’t have the numbers if you have the numbers you get sponsorship deals and you get money and you know n vbn and all this sort of crap um so if you’re paying $35 per video for 10,000 views h I
Suppose it works out good but you have to do it for every single video do you know what I mean you can’t sort of like have 10,000 views on this video and then three views on this video it’s got to be 10,000 10,00 and you do it for a few
Weeks or a few months and then you say to the sponsorship people this is how many I’ve got so yeah is to delete content from your channel the performs po uh poorly then only make content if I if I deleted my poorly made videos I’d be deleting my whole Channel
Um uh yeah I I thought about it before Dylan uh and I did actually uh delete a bunch of content but as soon as I did um my channel complete view count just bombed because it takes away those views you lose them all uh and you can also
Lose subscribers as well like if subscribers subscribed on that particular video that you delete uh so that’s a problem my numbers crashed so I had to put them all back again so I did actually try that uh wonder what the percentage of Subs are actually fake accounts I would
Say 50% yeah uh but Google won’t admit to it uh yeah that’s right it’s it it gives Google advertising money so that’s why they don’t care if you do it or not unless I say Google uh Google now sell them themselves I was watching a video
The other day and um about the the fake subs or fake views and if you buy the real ones because you can buy the bot ones or you can buy the real ones and the real ones in the Indian call centers and this they have a wall with with
Mobile phones real mobile phones a wall and there’ll be one staff member and they’ll be like doing it on each individual phone right so if you pay for 10,000 views they’re doing like on 10,000 they don’t have 10,000 phones but they’re using like 200 phones with several different accounts to physically go into
Your account so it’s not worth paying for the 14 days in Japan series uh no no that’s that’s well and truly out of any sort of algorithm now but see I thought the 14 days in the Japan thing would work and quite interestingly um was it last week or the
Week before uh Chris broad did 14 days in Japan and it was like well I did that like a a few weeks ago um but again once you’re not in the algorithm which I’m not in the algorithm because I don’t buy subs or views you’re not going to be recommended
That’s the thing Chris broad doesn’t buy subs and Views but he’s old school he’s been around long enough that he has real subs and views uh well all of my 3K Subs were were real because I I’ve never paid for Subs uh but I know that most of them joined um when something
Happened here and I did a I did oh oh oh I know where they joined um so most of my Subs joined when uh that tennis player know jovic was arrested in Australia and deported right I did a live I did two days of live coverage on it the streams
Went for hours hours and hours and hours um this was during the co time so he lied about having a vaccination which he never had he forged his medical documents he was arrested here uh he was deported all that sort of stuff right so I thought ching ching people are going
To watch this so I did two days of live streaming about him uh playing all the news articles and yada yada and I got most of my subs from there in them clicking the subs it doesn’t mean they’ve clicked on the notifications so they’re obviously still
Subbed because if they had left the sub count would go down but they’ve never ever come back to my channel they’ve never clicked notification so they’ve got like how many Subs do you have like how many channels have you subbed to in your life that you’ve never clicked notifications
For that you know you’ve totally forgot about so I always say it’s the last within the last three months on YouTube whoever subscribed to you in the last three months they’re the ones that are the active subscribers anybody else has well and truly gone and even people that
Like did come here or my Channel or other people’s Channel even John Do’s Channel John John dob um has you know half a million subscribers but only you know only 9,000 people watch him that that that’s real big thing and that’s because people also get fed up with you
And get tired of you you know um and you just move on to other stuff I do it myself whether it be your TV shows or whatever um you know you get addicted to something you watch something and then all of a sudden you just go oh yeah not
Interested in that anymore I’ll go watch something else so yeah the sub count is all a fake thing but again the sub count the view count which does play on my mind because I can’t get sponsorship I can’t do anything without that subcount or view count um it means more to Google because
This is how they sell the advertising space this is how they get the big dollars coming in for them um you know people that have these gold plaques and Diamond PLA and silver plaes and everything that that amount of Subs aren’t watch watching them so yeah within the last 3 months whoever subed
To you in the last 3 months they’re your viewers so if I would have had two three 400 people subbing in the last 3 months I would expect two or three or 400 views per video but I’ve had you know 20 Subs in the last 3 months whatever it is so
That’s my viewer base you know what I mean well yeah two two things work for YouTube especially with Japan and that is either running a mark acting like a um but that works for anywhere in the world you know Logan Paul he’s a biggest on the planet Earth but he has
More views than anybody else on YouTube yet everybody will say oh Logan Paul’s a well why do you watch him um and the other uh reason is with Japan as well is um to create drama and there is very few YouTube channels out there that are drama-free about
Japan and it’s and again they’re mainly American channels or American YouTubers because Americans really want to go to Japan so therefore they watch an American because they trust an American but the Americans create fake Drama by saying stuff like oh you can’t get sweer card anymore and so therefore you can’t
Catch a train and oh team Labs portalist has been pulled down and closed because of a pandemic none of these things are true or you know um uh what was the what was the last one that happened uh you know there’s there’s a a few things
Going on so I I could start doing things like that when I went to saporo I could go oh my God you know saporo doesn’t have the saporo doesn’t have the the ferris wheel of oaka in it or something I don’t know they pulled it down I don’t
Know so yeah I don’t know controversy in support maybe you know oh I was awake all night in the hotel from the from the bloody traffic lights in seoro going beepo beepo then one of you will say I thought you like that it’s like yeah I do but you know so
Yeah that that that’s the only two ways to to do it for a new channel interesting because I am completely out of the algorithm on this channel um and I did try another Channel with exactly the same name I think sapora J knows Dylan might know whatever and I started
As a brand new channel just to prove the fact that I would be in the algorithm and get better views I uploaded the same thing here as I did there and there was more more successful there was more successful I was in the algorithm and it was
Increasing every single time and then I fell out of the algorithm and that’s the thing with YouTube unless you start buying those views and start making Google money you will fall out of the algorithm very very very very quickly um but again I know I would say 90% of
People on YouTube buy views and subs and I will always call it out and and say that it’s completely wrong and unfair cuz it is you know I like I have I’ve had more success as an example and and I know this from talking to secure a mobile
When our account was hacked I know for a fact that I’ve had more success with selling secure mobiles the SIM cards than than what har Life channel is for example uh with 16,000 whatever it is subs and apparently 10,000 views per video and it’s because they’re not real numbers so
Even though my numbers are extremely low they’re physical people that physically spend the money um and that’s what mobile was interested in um but mainly with their charity because they want me to do videos about the charity they want me to concentrate on that they saw the how much I had sold with
Secura compared to other channels with big numbers and they were like okay obviously you have real people watching you it may not be a lot but those ones that are watching you you are actually engaging in it so yeah but then bigger companies are just not interested in you like I could
The if if if I bought like a shitload of views and subscribers now I’d have to do it for a bunch of videos and then hide all the others and then bought a heap of subscribers um I could then theoretically go to saporo city council or Tokyo government uh and say I’ve got
This many views and this many subscribers and you know sponsor me or or you know allow me in your country or allow me to do something and and they would come on board they would do that because uh you know they sponsor people like Chris broad um John do and and
People like that so you know if I if I if I did that that would work what puzzle am I working on I got I’ll show you uh I got this for Christmas from my new hous I’ve never done uh I’ve never done a puzzle
