Fall is in full swing. The season is here when hot springs and fireplaces are at their best. The gingko is a tree of Mishima City. Bunkyo Town’s gingko-lined streets are home to everything from kindergartens to universities, also National Tax Bureau. (:-p. Today we are going to Mt. Kanuki in Numazu City.
Near Mt. Kanuki are my favorite Numazu farms and Ryozan Temple. The locals call it “Reizanji”. I’ve been to this area several times, but this is the first time I’ve seen such magnificent gingko trees. An email we recently received from a viewer stated that there are not many updates to the video.
Popular channels are updated consistently. It had been six months since the last update on my channel. YouTube told me, ‘Only old videos are playing. I will try to update more frequently, even if it is a short video. Good luck, me! Now we have arrived at Mt. Kanuki.
It was said that the red and orange leaves could be seen near the five-story pagoda, but the timing was not right this time. But in spring, we will be able to enjoy Mt. Fuji and cherry blossoms in full bloom.
This area is called the “Numazu Alps,” and many citizens can be seen here because of the hiking routes. This signpost is marked only with the word “mountain. From a different angle, it was labeled “summit. I thought it was strange. This is the observation deck near the summit.
The view overlooking Numazu city and the Kano River flowing into Suruga Bay is lovely. Fuji can also be seen from a good location, although it is a little overcast.
On the way up to Mt. Kanuki, there is a specialty called “Hotto-chan,” which is said to surprise climbers with a rock with eyes and a mouth that suddenly appears. I will try to find it next time.
There are water fountains and restrooms on the mountain paths, and some of the trails are gentle enough for older people and children to enjoy. I feel like I have found an unexpected hole in the ground in the neighborhood.
Parking space is limited, so it would be better to go at different times during the season. On the way home, we were about to stop at a shopping center when my wife spotted an old house. This is a rice malt factory.
This store is perfect for the needs of a wife who wants to know more about koji. Miso, amazake, kinzanji miso, shio koji, soy sauce koji… there are many things my wife wants to make. My wife asked question after question, and the shopkeeper answered each one with great care.
My wife spares no effort to spend on things that are good for the body. My wife seems to have gained a reassuring teacher. It is easy to come because it is a 40 minute drive from my house and near where I always come to fetch water.
I often drink amazake at home so I will enjoy the new taste. Nakamuraya Old Store, a koji factory Nakamuraya’s Instagram page shows how they are working with many restaurants to promote food culture. I would like to visit those stores one by one.
