I think during any season this place would be absolutely magical to visit but during winter even though my hand is freezing holding this GorillaPod it is amazing Welcome back to our Channel guys if you missed our last couple of Vlogs we are currently road tripping through Japan’s most northern prefecture Hokkaido it’s winter time in Japan and the temperatures are quite chilly often plummeting to below freezing in double digit numbers it’s currently saying
Minus 11. we started our trip in Sapporo made a stop in asahikawa and did one of our most favorite activities we have ever done in Japan and in this Vlog we will be exploring our next stop abhishiri abhishiri is the place to come and see Drift Ice Drift Ice is basically
Frozen water floating in the ocean which forms when the surface of the sea freezes and we’re starting our day with a cruise that takes us out to see this crazy phenomenon we will head for some lunch with some interesting meals on the menu before making our way to our last
Stop for the day which we’re pretty sure you’re going to want to stick around for but just wait to see what we can see it is an early start for us all this morning we were picked up at seven and we are starting the three three and a
Half hour drive cross country from a sakakawa all the way up to the kind of northern eastern part of Hokkaido which is abashiri however the journey itself across country is just mind-blowing the views of the forests the fields which are all covered in like deep deep
Of snow it’s hard to actually capture on camera we had actually planned to sleep on this journey but I don’t think that’s going to happen because we are literally just constantly looking out the window and just to give you an idea of how cold it is outside at the moment it’s currently saying
Minus 11. although it did just say minus 13 a second ago so I’m glad we’re inside in the wall with the heating on So after three and a half hours we have arrived to our activity of the day where we are going to be going out on a ship into the ocean on the ice you ready to get on board yeah boy So this Drift Ice Expedition that we will be partaking in today is very popular up in abhishiri and for the Hokkaido region so there’s actually quite a few tour buses that have come a long way just to do this one activity so we feel very special to be here right now
But also very cold Everyone’s got their front row seats to be honest we come all this way I’m happy to stay outside the whole time Thank you so naturally being a Drift Ice experience you would hope that there is ice drifting out in the ocean but sadly like a lot of activities where you’re never guaranteed if this is one of those days but it is still awesome being out in the water and I actually
Have to say even just watching the boat cruise through not big chunks of ice but big chunks of ice and watching it all break up over the way it’s still pretty Epic so but we were told we’d see nothing I’m still seeing something we’re still seeing something there’s like tiny
Pieces of ice not quite as big however we will be doing another drift ass experience tomorrow so make sure you stay tuned for that because I’m pretty sure we’re guaranteed yes we have got Drift Ice beer which is literally blue and made from the dripped
Ice water so we’re going to try it it’s legally blue that is crazy So we have gone for deep fried pork with rice and a curry which we believe is going to taste like a katsu curry so we’re gonna taste that in a minute and then we’ve got deep fried chops with rice and seaweed so I guess that’s true
All right taste test you can see Alex has already gone in Alex piping hot that’s going to burn my mouth I don’t know if I can pick that up with chopsticks [Laughter] that’s so good like that so our driver kindly recommended a stop on the way up to
Where we’re going and this place is absolutely insane it is so cold I think it’s about minus 13 right now and Paul James is out here he’s fine the Drone but just wait to see what we can see through the Drone controller because it is epic foreign I think we may have found a new favorite place in Hokkaido seriously we were so gutted that we didn’t see any sort of like Drift Ice on the Drift Ice Cruise However the fact that our driver recommended this spot which was only 15 minutes drive from the actual Port of
Where we took the cruise out and we’ve seen so much of it we’re very happy like it’s amazing so if you do ever get the opportunity to come to this region which is abashiri then make sure you save where this Lighthouse is on the map we’ll put a link in the description below
Seriously guys absolutely magical there’s no place quite like it everything he just sit now guys if you find yourselves going from abashiri to shirotoko then make sure you stop at what’s known as the roadway to Heaven I believe or the road to the sky there is this 28 kilometer
Road just behind us that is absolutely amazing there’s even a picture of a bear holding a selfie stick saying road to the sky pretty special spot especially during the winter with the sun setting and the snow everywhere okay guys we’ve made it to Ocean caution Falls and this is our last stop before
We get to our final destination today we were not sure if it was going to be frozen because it is about minus 12 at the moment but it is flowing and it looks pretty awesome oh it’s slippery I think this may be our first waterfall in Japan I think it is um
You can see like icicles I don’t know how they’re not breaking off because the water behind it is Flowing so powerfully mind blown I think during any season this place will be absolutely magical to visit but during winter even though my hand is freezing holding this GorillaPod it is amazing and also no
I’m too scared of it all away when really it should be attracting everyone to come Hidden Gem Hidden Gem indeed we’ve stayed in the traditional ryokan before on museum Island but it’s nice because the etiquette is just awesome like you take your shoes off put some
Slippers on we’re gonna be shown to our room can’t wait to show you inside I’m not with most traditional Rye cans back in the day they didn’t have lifts so it’s carrying suitcases upstairs 207 oh we’re just here perfect am I going to be able to fit through this door having to crouch
Divide your hair your hair oh look at this yes papa Titanic floor if this isn’t as close as you can get like a Japanese Hotel experience I don’t know what it is and I spy a heater over there very cold tonight and if you want to have a civilized sit-down dinner with
Our convenience store food we have a lovely setting this is tonight’s dinner foreign To be able to walk through this amazing forest there’s nothing short or spectacular

Looks fabulous, I'm so jealous! Not being a skier, I never considered Japan in the winter. I have visited during the cherry blossom season, which was amazing, but will now consider a re-visit in winter! Great video!
is it on the month of february?
Hi, thanks for sharing the lovely videos. 😉
I'm planning to self drive from Sapporo to Abashiri in mid-March next year. Are there still snow and any advice about driving in the weather ? Thanks!
Oh dear people, God give us the gift of life to the humans beings, Japan also is a land made by our Creator. Please read this, is an important message:
We are actually fallen and corrupted creatures. We are full of injustices, wickedness, lies and evil. Every human being have the same problem, since the fall of Adam, our hearts are actually seek and go to do evil. We all say lies. We all steal something, even something small or without "importance". We all fall in sexual inmorality like having sex before marrige, or cheat your wife/husband, watch pornography, look other people with lust and corrupted desires, look them in the street, social media, internet, etc. We all hate someone in our hearts, that's actually consider to be a killer in the eyes of God. We all fail and we do horrible things in this earth. Those things I mention before are actually part of the Law of God, and WE BROKE the Law of God many many times. We are actually criminals, sinners, who made crimes against God and our neighbors.
God is our Creator, He is Holy, Good and Just and He hates evil and He punish all the wicked actions of the humans beings. He establised a day when He is going to judge every human being in all the history of this Earth, the Final Day of Jugdment. We are all guilty and in that day we going to have all the consequences of our wickedness, We all deserve the eternal condenation, Hell, the Holy and Just Wrath of God, because we broke all the Law of God. We actually have a huge problem with the infinite Justice of God, and we can't escape from that destiny, we are guilty and we can't do anything to change that. We are actually lost for ever.
But, God is very very Merciful and God knows we are actually lost for ever, so He did something. God the Father send His Son LORD Jesus Christ to save us. The God of Israel Himself becomes a human being, Jesus of Nazareth, and He die for us, He die for our sins. LORD Jesus in the cross take all the warth and punishment what we deserve for our sins and wickedness and He die for us He die for our sins. He paid the debt with the infinite Justice of God what we have. By His Grace we are save not by any human work of us because we only deserve hell only. That's why when you believe in LORD Jesus and His work of Salvation and Redemption you have salvation, redemption, forgiveness of sins, eternal life and reconciliation with God only by LORD Jesus.
LORD Jesus was dead but He rose at the third day, and He is now sit at the right hand of God His Father but He is coming back soon to the Earth as the Supreme Judge, and He will put and end to all the wicked things and evil of the humans beings for ever, including yours if you don't repent.
That's why we say to you in love and Truth, repent of your sins and wickedness and believe in LORD Jesus and His Gospel and follow Him. Without Christ you are actually lost for ever and ever.
If you die, you are going to Judgement of God, and if you don't believe and follow LORD Jesus, after the Judgement you are going to the eternal condenation for ever. That's why with a great sense of urgency take this message with extreme seriously, your life and soul are in danger: you could die today at any moment, you never know. Come to Christ Jesus, without Him we are nothing and the eternal condenation is at the door. Come to Christ oh dear people.
Blessings to you and your family, greetings from Chile 🇨🇱 🙋
