Today I walked around Hiroshima. I saw all the sites and memorials from the bombing of Hiroshima on October 6th 1945. I found it hard not to get emotional at the sad past of Hiroshima; there are so many sad stories, so many ruined lives and so much suffering that I can’t do it justice in writing. Watch the video, and I hope that it conveys the story well enough. I have tried not to include too many things, but just the ones that really touched me.
As you can probably see by the sweat on my face it’s another scorching day there are clouds in the skies today and its really really warm I would say maybe 30 degrees at least and high humidity so it’s a it’s actually almost too much for me as a bit worried about what the
Weather was going to be like today because last night it is pouring it down for at least three or four hours really really heavy rain and was a bit afraid I had to walk around Hiroshima today with an umbrella getting soaked a lot sure what I would have preferred right now
But but this is almost too hot so the plan for today is to go around CZ see the atomic bomb dome see the different museums in in hiroshima about the last days of the Second World War as far as I can tell by my guidebook there’s some
Pretty unpleasant stuff in some of the museum so we’ll see if I can get myself to capture any of that on tape but yeah that’s that for now Oh I’m in the Russian man National Peace Memorial Hall and as you can see from the communes in the background the
Running pictures of everybody they couldn’t identify after the bomb drop there’s these screens here where you can actually go in search for family and relatives if you if you know them they’re all all in there dunno why but it’s it’s very very touching place you nice toss
When the Americans drop the bomb on her ottoman over 6 of 8 15 the building you see behind me is the is the only structure left that was close to the epicenter of the blast it’s now called the Adon bomb originally it was as part of an industrial complex everything else
Has been leveled and rebuilt that’s all that’s left you this is the children’s peace monument the girl on top is statue of tenure schoolgirl Sedaka he got leukemia because of all the radiation from from the bomb so she decided to make a thousand origami cranes the crane is
Simple for a long and happy life and hope was that it’s chic rooted in the hope that she could somehow fight the looking man and survive and she she of course she couldn’t in the end she managed quite a few more than 1000 grains and to commemorate school children every year they leave
Thousand thousand of cranes strung together in long rows that they deadly they leave to honor her memory well I hope you didn’t enjoy that any more than I did one of the things that i read in in my guidebook about Hiroshima is how they they want to see themselves as a
Place where where peace can begin and I thought it was a bit of facility sentiment but after having experienced the memorials and the atomic bomb dome I understand it a lot better sexually it’s very felt a very emotional more very very sad sir yes very sad atmosphere to
To the place and the fault of all the people that perished in 45 it’s it’s not another very nice thought so to cheer me up a bit I’ve gone to a garden inn in Hiroshima it’s from 16th century and it’s absolutely absolutely gorgeous so I think I’ll finish the day with some
Tranquil pictures from here the fish are actually jumping

Upon looking at some disasters caused by human error or silly decisions i stumble on Hiroshima and wondered how is it to live there in this time and age considering the past events.
You brought me closer to my thoughts. I thank you for that.
just so you know it was auguste 6 1945 8:15 15 secs just so know but great video
editing has made it hectic, people need more time to concentrate on details. i speak about the museum peace.
talk could be more succinct.
otherwise, it gives an oppurtunity to see some of it.
oohoh now the US are the saviors!!! The Saints of the world!!! that's what the seek of power brings, death and war to make two or three richer, don't forget the millions that the americans, germans, russians, etc. have killed too, and no one of them is excused to do that… so far everyone hands are bloody my friend…
so when the Japanese attacked the Philipinos and the Chinese, not to mention Pearl Harbor, they were saints? the USA did what they felt was right in order to protect their own country and prevent more casualties. I do feel bad for those civilians that lost loved ones in that attack but understand that we as Americans were attacked first.
lol, says who?
Omg "attacked first". Destroying these cities brought more deaths than us lost in the whole war! You as americans must be bombed with nukes nowadays then. Since US bombed more than 20 countries in last 50 years. disgusting pile of "democratic" bullshit above bunch of greedy fat freaks with making money as a main goal in life. Disgusting shitty country.
I wounder if they hate Americans there?
@TempletonIII You most not be from the US. Your anti-america bias is showing.
30° ???????
A nice film and very sensitively made, I was there this year and felt the same as you. I cried a few times as its a very moving journey through the history from August 1945. I was two months old when it happened and 7 or 8 when I saw the first film released. I have known for years about the American bullshit surrounding this. They did nothing to help these people when they most needed it. All they wanted was Data. They even fabricated on that.
So why is Hiroshima safe to visit? But not chernobyl? They where both exposed to radiation….Right?
