I traveled from Tomakomai, Hokkaido to Niigata by Shin Nihonkai Ferry. It was another relaxing ferry ride in Japan.
Shin Nihonkai Ferry operates four different routes

Although we all have traveled alone at times in our lives, we do try to make our trips as pleasant and interesting as possible. shin ferries are fantastic ships , spotless , clean, good food, great cabins, the crew runs like a clock, you will never find a service like shin ferries any were else in the world. they are at the top and they set the bar for all the rest. you know the saying on the pizza boxes , you tried the rest now try the best , try a shin ferry and in joy the best.
shin ferries are better then a cruise ship ( barge ) with thousands of people packed in every were you turn. and you pay thousands of dollars for them . i have been on them and i say never again. even the food is no better on a cruise ship (BARGE ). being packed in to a cruise ship (BARGE ) with thousands of people is not a vacation , its a pain in the ass, dirty, noisy , mess. you can't even enjoy a quiet dinner with out a loud moth yelling at the table next to you. if you want a great vacation in a beautiful country go to japan and go to all the islands on the shin ferry lines and relax in a clean beautiful ship with beautiful clean cabins and nice quite people on an un crowded ship with great food and things to do .
your cabin would be just perfect with a small bathroom.
