I’m taking a Japanese ferry from Niigata to Sado Island for lunch this time and trying Suite. The cabin is huge. The ship is operated by Sado Kisen.

All I could think of was that that must be meant for, like, small school trips, or a family reunion, or an office outing–something big you can crowd everybody into and maybe tuck kids in the beds for naps. That was gloriously ridiculous. At least you got good curry!
I keep on being amazed about these ferries in Japan.
great video, and amazing, you got free cookies, tea, free air, and your own private ghost to turn your tvs on!
The suite definitely looks like a time capsule for the 90s.
I have some curry blocks. Im tempted to just make a sauce and eat it with rice.
oooh a haunted ferry suite.
i know it's a 30y old ship, but boy does that room look dated. i get that redoing a large ship is expensive, but a set of New furniture or a bit of paint couldn't hurt.
So strange that such a big room exists for such a short journey. I wonder if it's like something a famous person would use, having the whole top floor and such, while they could sleep and relax in that bedroom while their team of producers and such, sit in the big meeting-like room where they have a bunch of drinks for everyone while they discuss things and use all of the extra space for equipment.
If not for the announcements I could live there. Are cats allowed?
People ask why this room exists. Probably the same reason why the Holiday inn express have suits. Eventually a traveler mmmight need or want to use it
As a liminal space artist your videos are pure inspiration. Thank you so much for what you do!
I wish you were in this room for those long trips you make π
This channel has got to be the best unintentional ASMR of all time
very nice!
This is another one of those suites that make you wonder why the ship even has one like it if that's the longest voyage it ever makes. Must be there in case the president of the ferry company ever needs to impress someone. π
I absolutely love these videos but this whole boat is giving backrooms
There is something spooky about that huge suite, it looks like its stuck in the 1980s even though the ship was built in the 1990s. I guess not alot of people use it so the company does not need to upgrade the decor?
Is this sado where the long haired Ghost lives ?
That suite must have been created for the prime minister of Japan. Or the ferry company CEO…
Needs updating
Sugoi Dekai
Thanks for the detailed video! Im travelling solo very soon from niigata to sado so I was a bit nervous about the process, but having it laid out to me so clearly is very relieving!
Thank you for always posting. I love your content. I like how you post the time at the beginning and each time you wake if it's an overnight and also at arrivals and departures. Something that I would find helpful/interesting would be if you also posted the day of the week at the same time, for example Monday 11:00 am or Thursday 22:00. Much thanks for all you do.
9:12 "Sand Cookies" are what we call "Sandies."
13:38 γγ§γΌγͺγγγδΈΈ has its own fried potato. πγ.
I regularly take that boat, traveling back and forth between our apartment in Tokyo and our house on Sado, but I never even knew that there's a suite. (I'm a cheapskate, so I only travel second class anyway.) It seems a bit of waste, by the way, to travel to Sado just to have curry and then go back again. It's a beautiful place!
Weird flex but ok
The Suite would be great for a longer journey and yes 2nd class is ok for such a short journey. Lovely sunset
Those drinks were so interesting
I calculate on a 2.5hour journey you could spend 8 mins 48 seconds in each chair/bed they give you including one toilet.
this is the most funny episode in your channel
this is like bigger than my apartment. lol
16:41 – 2 : 16 pm there is a 4th cookie missing. π€
oh yeah!! Curry thatβs your favorite dish ππ
that room seems just perfect for a mafia boss and crew safe place for a meeting.
Looks like a suite used for small weddings?
