I took Shin Nihonkai Ferry from Niigata to Hokkaido Japan and tried Deluxe cabin. But the weather was terrible. The ferry was swaying, pitching and rocking heavily during night.

Seems okay even with rough seas! A surprisingly peaceful journey. π
How many other passengers would you estimate you encountered on that ship? It looked empty lol
That's definitely not an American sized portion of food.
I can't believe how cheap the food is on board, and how good it looks. Ferries over here usually charge an arm and a leg for bad food.
Good thing, you said it was a soup in a cup, otherwise I would have thought it was teaπ
Very nice video. I love the Japanese way of presentation food looked delicious
What a video!! Thank you a lot. I feel like I am visiting Japan π
25:49 That is a Japanese way of saying "this vessel is in great peril"
The meal prices are incredibly affordable! And what great choices! America is so lagging.
At one point in this video I was beginning to wonder if you were the only person on this ship. Did not see other passengers, nor crew. Gave a whole new meaning to Solo Traveler.
You should've stayed in your cabin, switched the lights off and recorded the waves.
I don't even eat meat, and I am impressed by your love of beef curry!
You aim your camera down too much. It can be nauseating.
"I ate too much" hehehehe. I was thinking also "ya maybe the noodle might be too much for you". but I also make the same mistakes often.
I just watched "Trying the Japanese Premium Express" video before seeing this one. I like how you got beef in your beef curry on this occasion. Another well presented, clear and concise video. I love it when it is rough at sea as there is never a queue for the restaurant – only for the bathrooms.
The waves were about 10 feet high when I took the ferry, same company, from Maizuru to Hokkaido in 2008. All restaurants and convenience store were closed because of the rough passage.
Tada Fridge!
For someone who never speaks, you got great body language humor.
I love eating plain white rice made the Cuban way with olive oil. Goya black bean soup and white rice is my favorite!πππ΄
why cant they serve noodles in rough weather?
Thank you for the interesting videos. I would like to know whether the food (lunch or dinner) that you can get from a tablet or if it is included in the cabin price will be brought by the waiter or whether you have to pick it up yourself. Please keep making such beautiful videos.
I think you were very smart in taking the anti-sea sickness pills ahead of time. They really don't work that well once your sick, and then with you eating right away helped.
You make your videos with such care. The videos are very original and pleasing to the senses. I feel as though I am experiencing the motion of the sea and the taste of every bite of food. Thank you for allowing us to be your travel companions !
What rough weather. Food looked good.
Why are noodles not available during rough sea? I don't see the correlation?!
Hmmmmm the food looks amazing. Wish i was there too. I would have grilled pork slizes with the red saus and of course with the extra large rise and mizu soop.
The food was so scared of you eating it, it was shaking.
Thatβs not fun
I agree – you ate too much before a potentially very rough crossing.
I would have taken some of the noodles for later – in your cabin.
Also carbonated drinks for your stomach.
Very nice..
This was a lovely video. I am happy to see you fared well despite the rough seas. Thank you for the links you posted to the other videos you mentioned. It is very thoughtful and saved me time to look them up.
I really enjoy your program and your sense of humor, thank you! And I love watching what you eat.
that HDMI port is genius.

I am curious – what is dangerous about eating or serving noodles in the stormy weather? Is it the hot soup that could be spilled?
these videos are mainly interesting for me as being in the american midwest, ferries, especially as a long distance form of travel are an alien concept for me.
sure i know some parts of america have ferries, but they mainly handle cars and foot passengers. the majority of travel is by car, bus, train or plane. and trucks just drive from one end of the country to the other without anything but their own engines.
It says the ferry arrives at 04:30 AM. Does that mean everyone must disembark before 05:00?
Hey Mr solo
How can you eat all that food while going through rough seas and keep it all in your stomach?
I am binge-watching your videos and learn a lot about ferry travel in Japan. It never crossed my mind it can be an alternative to shinkansen or flight. Thank you so much.
Always such cute socks.
Menudo saque tienes macho
Itβs somehow kind of peaceful and cosy looking out at the rough sea.
Your middle name should be curry – youβ€ it SO Much
