Hokkaido is currently running a ” Show your support by staying at an in or hotel in Hokkaido, and enjoying delicious food!” campaign, for the purpose of promoting marine products of Hokkaido.
As a part of this campaign, the city of Sapporo with the cooperation of hotels and inns throughout the city, have been working together to introduce and share the charm of Hokkaido including marine products such as scallops, and other foods typical of Hokkaido, as well as the beauty of winter in Hokkaido. The city hopes this endeavor will lead to an increase in travelers to Sapporo, and has produced two videos; the “Sapporo Gourmet Foods and Winter Wonders” video, and the “Sapporo Hot Springs and Exquisite Cuisine” video that introduce charming aspects of Hokkaido winters and the delicious fresh marine products it has to offer.
