FYI, the LDS (Mormons) own the Polynesian Cultural Center. They have spread across the Pacific and bring the youth from different cultures to Oahu to attend BYU and the PCC is a place they can work and demonstrate their culture to the tourist. It's amazing how they do this for the Polynesian youth and spread the religion.
I saw a Marugame Udon in South Coast Mall in Costa Mesa last week.
You can live in Hawaii part-time.
Kua Aina is around the world. I've seen them in Japan and believe it or not, Northern Ireland.
Local tip on Hanauma Bay go before they open and get in for free.
You have my gratitude, Chris; and I’m not joking either: I was waiting for the live stream to start, but that marvelously relaxing live stream countdown music helped me fall asleep and dream of Hawaiian beaches. 😀
Thanks Chris, hoping to visit Hawaii some Day, maybe on our 50th Wedding Anniversary which is not too far away..
thanks for the great content, I try to go to Hawaii twice a year, and definitely suffer from post-hawaii depression every time…
For sure Hawaii is not for the poor if you wanna visit tropical destination, Florida is definitely for budget travelers. In Florida he will see many visitors from down south, such as Georgia, Carolina Tennessee, Kentucky.
Note: if you don't love Hawaii, you're not human.
yes its my favourite beach as well. it's very relaxing indeed
Great video I missed the live
I've never been to Hawaii, but I've been to Guam. How would you say they compare to each other?
Hi Chris. Thanks for the wonderful live stream. I'm so happy that you appreciate the beaches in Hawaii and consider it your favorite. Thanks so sharing all the other great things and places we have to offer. Appreciate the Love.😀❤❤❤🤙
Nice presentation! I enjoy all of your videos on SE Asia, so I was excited to see that you had posted a video on my state of residence for the past 18 years. Your information and insights are all quite accurate! It’s true that typical “tourist scams” are quite uncommon here. So true that the HNL airport needs a major overhaul. It was quite nice at one time, but it’s a bit too 20th-century at this point – post-9/11 and post-COVID.
In regard to your lack of a/c comments…Probably a/c wasn’t necessary in order to experience comfort 50 years ago. But the climate here has changed slowly. A/c is unnecessary in most places when the trade winds are flowing, but the proportion of trade wind days to muggy Kona wind days has been decreasing due to climate change. Thousands of residents have finally broken down in the past decade or so and have air-conditioned their homes. Unfortunately we seemed to have crossed that fine line between pleasantly balmy and uncomfortably muggy in recent years.
i just love you videos. how do you do it all on top of you job? and kids or kid?
I have to disagree about pineapple. Most of Asia and Queensland in Australia have good pineapple
I love Hanauma Bay. A quick and cheap bus ride and plenty to see
You don't look like you've just returned from a beach destination…
Thanks for the great info + livestream!
🌅 🥰🫶 – I ♡ Sunsets too! 🌅
Hawaii looks beautiful Chris.I am bedbound disabled and your travels make me feel i am there with you.Thankyou for another interesting video
Great stream Chris (: I really liked the Kualoa Ranch tour! Absolutely beautiful nature. Flights are so cheap for January! About $300 direct from LAX
Have you been to Cinnamon's at the Ilikai? Go to Cinnamon's at the Ilikai hotel in Waikiki and get the Guava Chiffon Pancakes. Delicious!!! 😋
You encapsulated the best of Hawaii. . . actually enjoying life in the moment.
I have been to Oahu twice and I still haven’t been to Haleiwa
Ich würde gerne dort windsurfen !! Gibt es dort solche Clubs!😊
