Nijinomatsubara is a pine forest in Karatsu city, Japan. The pine trees in this forest were planted by the feudal lord and his men to protect the shoreline and the people around this place. Now, this forest is maintained by the local government of Karatsu City and local people who volunteer to clean and take good care of this forest.
