At 6:20 Minutes , the Church on the right ! Franziskaner Kirche haben wir sie genannt ! I lived in the Herrngasse from 1944 to about 1953 and then we moved outside of Town to a place called Heckenacker Siedlung ! Till we Migrated to Australia , leaving Bremer Hafen around the 8th of December 1954 !
At 6:50 ! See the green Building on the left , number 18 ? It is called – we called it , Staudtisches Haus and we lived on the first Floor till 1953 after my Twin Siblings were born that March !
See the Gate in the Wall , on the right ? Down the Steps and the Building that is sort of attached to the Franziskaner Kirche/Church , my Mum married my Dad in the Standes Amt and , the building to the left of the Gate is where my Dad grew up , living on the first Floor !
See the Fountain on the left ? My Sister Heide , 2 Years younger than I , used to climb up on its Wall and most times she would fall off and hurt her Head ! All this at her age of around 5-7 Years of age !
Ohh ! The Street to the right at the back of the Church , down the Hill a bit on the left was the Town Gaol/Jail ! All in my younger Years ! Not sure if it still exists there ?
The entrance Door on the right , opposite the Herrnbrunnen , that is where my Dad lived as a Boy !
At 9:45 ! The narrow Street , in there at the next Door , used to be a Butchery and my Mutti/Mum used to send me there to get some Kessel Brühe , Boiled Water where they must have boiled their Meats , or so ! Mum used to use that Brühe/Broth for making Knödel/Dumplings , etc !
Ha ! Most of these Young People or even older ones , were NOT even born when I was there ,lol !
My goodness ! That Hotel Eisenhut was already a very Posh Place in my Childhood ! We were NOT allowed behind and inside the front Doors ,lol ! Some Posh Cars of the past used to park out the front !
PLEASE BE ADVISED THAT MY NAME IS KLAUS AND THAT BARBARA IS MY WIFEY ! How I got her ID , I have no clue ! I Wanted to see a Video of Rothenburg at Christmas Time and I found this one and I Thank Pro Walk Tours from the bottom of my Humble Heart for this Tour that brings back so many Memories from my short Childhood , living in the Herrngasse at that time before we all Migrated to Australia , end of 1954 ! I do hope that none of You who read my Comments on this Tour , will be offended ! I turn 80 Years Young next coming April !

That Rathaus Turm ( Council Chambers Tower) is 60 Metres tall ! Was up there as a young Boy ! There were a few of us and we tricked the Guard and made it to the top but he got us quickly down again ! In 2013 my Wifey and I went up there , paid €10 Euros each to see the sights !
