The 2,158-passenger Celebrity Millennium first debuted in 2000, but thanks to a 2012 refurbishment, the ship has stayed on par with its Solstice-class siblings. As part of the upgrade, the ship received new spa-focused cabins, stateroom renovations and additional balconies. Like other Celebrity ships, Millennium offers the same cabin categories. Though nearly 80 percent offer ocean views, just 57 percent of this ship’s rooms are equipped with verandas (much less than other Solstice-class ships, where 85 percent of the cabins come with verandas). Cruisers can select the more compact Inside, Ocean View or Veranda staterooms (170 to 381 square feet), or splurge for the additional space and perks like butler service and priority check-in available in every Suite category room (251 to 1,432 square feet). Celebrity Millennium also offers AquaClass staterooms, which offer extra amenities like wellness programming, upscale bath amenities and an upgraded room service menu. When it comes to dining, Celebrity Millennium offers nine restaurants, including specialty spots Blu, Qsine, Bistro on Five and RMS Olympic Restaurant (reservations and extra fees required). The RMS Olympic Restaurant has a few distinguishing features: This French restaurant is exclusive to Celebrity Millennium and features wood paneling from the original RMS Olympic — the sister ship to the infamous Titanic. Millennium also offers a wealth of bars and lounges for casual drinks and conversation; Cellar Masters wine bar and Martini Bar & Crush “ice bar” are standout spots, according to recent cruisers. Entertainment on board engages young kids to teens with age-specific programming (think games and crafts) and adults and seniors with enrichment activities like language lessons, art classes and Zumba. Celebrity Millennium’s staff members help keep the entertainment rolling and the ship’s approximately 1-to-2 crew-to-guest ratio helps maintain a high standard of service.
