In this video we discuss we did as a family spending 3 days in Osaka & Nara. We enjoyed our time thoroughly and wish we had more of it, as there is so much to do in these areas. From touring the busier areas like Dotonburi and Shinsaibashi, to the Tempozen Ferris Wheel and Osaka Aquarium, to peaceful retreats at gardens, Osaka was not a let down. Conveniently located close to Nara, a quick train ride gets you to this fun stop.
We really regret missing out on things like the Osaka Castle while in Osaka as well as the Edo Castle when we were in Tokyo, among others. Since leaving, we continue to learn about Japan as we fell in love with their culture. We wish we understood their history better before going and wish we focused more on traditional, cultural and historical significant sites during our visit. Everyone is looking for something different from their adventures but we are looking for lessons that matter in making a better world. The cleanliness and respect witnessed in Japan is like no other and must be seen to appreciate. It would have been amazing to see Japan in its prime during the Edo period, but even this westernized version holds some amazing lessons.
