On this winter evening I thought it would be interesting to walk a scenic route through Sannomiya to Kobe Station. We start with some of the nightlife activity around the station, and its surrounding restaurant streets and alleys. We cross through a shotengai and into Kobe’s Chinatown, which takes us to the waterfront and the base of Kobe Tower. There was an event underway, I didn’t quite catch what it was about, I think it was a celebration for the local soccer team – but I could be mistaken. From there we cruise by an illuminated water show, along the port to Harborland and a lit sailing ship, the Nippon Maru, before making our way under the holiday lights lining the street to Kobe Station.
Unfortunately I had to loop the audio in two places to avoid copyrighted music. Those sections are noted in the video (between 1-2 and 3-4 are looped sections). Hopefully it is not too distracting.
