Guiyang Huaguoyuan Community, where 500,000 people live, is said to be the largest residential area in Asia..Dense residential buildings with floors as high as thirty or forty or higher. It looks really spectacular, and it feels depressing at the same time

  1. WOW for a "dense residential", the spacing between the roads and buildings are actually freaking spacious. IMO while there's that shadowy dystopia look/feel due to the shadows and lack of greens, there's so much breathing space between buildings.
So many haters keep saying plants plants plants… they really need to study geography, or at least look at the map, there's a reason why this city doesn't need that much green, the city sits smack in the middle of forest/mountains, that's why the flow of air there is very fresh.
It's not the same as New York or Singapore, these 2 don't have green surroundings to bring in clean fresh air, so they need to artificially plant greens, not the same at all.

  2. Ужас, где деревья, один бетон и машины. Чем дышат люди…?! 🤷‍♂️

  3. You'd imagine it would be very noisy. But with all of those buildings absorbing sound waves, it's probably not as bad as you imagine.

  4. The ratio of children to adults is very low. This suggests a rapid decline in population in the years ahead.

  5. this amazing, wish the world could get along, so we could travel freely everywhere and see the world for what it really is, I've only taking one trip out from the states down to Belize, and Cozumel during a cruise lol.

  6. This feels crazy, the tallest building in my city of 200k is about 1.5x smaller than the ones at 0:00, and it looks out of place as it's unusually high for such a city. Here it would look average

  7. Get rid of the roads. The traffic is an eye soar and cars make cities noisy. 🤮

Make it fully pedestrian, more green vegetation and put in public trams instead.

  8. 今後、ビルのメンテナンスが滞ればスラム化に一直線
     10年後が想像できる・・

  9. 不是贵州愿意这么建,而是土地真的不够,打开地图看看就知道为什么要这样了

  10. Are there streets running under these large walkways? I mean I assume you need trucks to refill all the restaurants, grocery stores, etc. If that's the case, this organization probably might not work in the West, since such underground streets would be filled with drugs, junkies, hobos, homicide etc.
