JAPAN – GARDENS & CULTURE (Part 6/12) – THE ANCIENT CAPITAL of NARA
(All 12 parts http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLrVUjbiYVZU473v4c1knFWHQ-MNzJdSy4) Another full day begins at one of Nara’s historic monuments and ends in an illuminated bamboo grove (12 November 2012) Part 7 http://youtu.be/DA_FHzGBUAw
Amazing ground covered, and some really great shots of the temples and night gardens. Loved the squeaky floors, reminded me that I must get my floorboards fixed at home. Commendable film and again well done for your stamina.
So informative as usual, Tony. The shots of the trees, gardens, water were really beautiful. I can't imagine seeing so many temples-for me they would merge into each other, but maybe when you are there it doesn't feel like that. Looking forward to #7!
And they all merged into a blur for me too. It is only while making these that I am becoming (slightly) more familiar with the Japanese culture. My lamentable lack of knowledge was a handicap to getting the most out of being there 'on the spot' but I'm doing my best to catch up and the main thing is I really enjoyed every single day of the trip.
That is the main thing. Most of us have a lack of knowledge if we haven't been somewhere before. Your videos are going to so helpful to anyone planning a trip of the sort you went on-keep on with the great work!
