Hawaii, Oahu, Anniversary Day 1 | LAX – HNL, Dole Plantation, Alohilani, Ala Moana Center

In this video, we start our 5 year wedding anniversary celebration! We go to Hawaii! We always go to Oahu.

For our first day, we had to wake up at 3:30am to get ready and be at the airport 2 hours early. We ended up leaving the house at 4am, and got to The Parking Spot, got on our bus, and getting through security, and all that stuff, and we actually got to the lobby/waiting area to board the plane about 5 minutes before they started calling us to go on the plane. That was a close one!

The plane ride went smoothly! I have to give props to MrsLaTruce for thinking to bring a lot of stuff for BabyTruce to do on the plane, keeping her calm. Also, we gave the staff on the plane some Halloween treats, a little goodie bag, and they got us back! They hooked us up with free food, free drinks, and even some homemade smores type of snack they made themselves. P.S. flying with a toddler is tough!

As soon as we landed, we had to pick up our “RAV4 or similar” rental at Hertz. We ended up getting a Chevy Equinox – lol that’s a suck car. But that wasn’t going to stop our fun! We went straight to Dole Plantation since we had to wait for our room to be ready.

At the Dole Plantation, we rode the train for the first time! It was cool. We thought about doing the maze, but didn’t realize the maze was HUGE HUGE! Instead, we fed the fish.

Then we checked into our “usual” hotel, Alohilani. This is the third time in a row we stayed there. This is the longest time we stayed in Hawaii.

Then we ended up going to Ala Moana Center, the largest open-air mall in the country! We got some Lahaina Chicken because some money from the sale goes to helping the people of the horrible fire in Maui.
