  1. Hi Josie and Michael. Enjoying both your channels. Just subscribed. Thanks for the extra videos during vlogmas.
    Hi πŸ‘‹ from Melbourne β˜€οΈ

  2. I know my friends are in Kyoto / Kansai area for the Fall Foliage so bookings must be hectic right now. Probably why the prices are jacked because so far the Kansai region has been having the better fall foliage it seems. I was in the Kanto region for a bit and the fall foliage wasn't that good this year because of the unusually longer warm weather so a lot of the leaves went from green to brown fast and kind of speed race through yellow/red this year. Plus they are estimating 2023 tourism will beat out 2019 numbers so that is also causing supply and demand issues with availability.

  3. It's so cute how you speak Japanese with them.

To pay with card, you may say "carddo de" (by card)

or to pay with Suica, you may say "Suica de" (by Suica)

If you wanna add politeness to it, add "onegaishimasu" (=please) at the end. So it's "cardo de onegaishimasu" ❀

  4. The reason why there are folding tables in the luggage area is because before a train begins a journey, a team of cleaners boards to clean the carriage thoroughly and turn the seats around to face the direction of travel.

Keep up the good work. I was in Japan for a month until a couple of weeks ago and am currently planning my return. Osaka was absolutely awesome! Videoo here –

  5. I’m Japanese.
I love your Japanese.Sooo cute😍I hope you will have good memories in Japan.

  6. In Japan, people take off their shoes at the entrance to enter a room. This is to keep the floor clean from dirt, germs, and "someone's pee" from the soles of your shoes. Most houses have a porch with steps at the entrance. If there is a step at the front door, please take off your shoes there.
Therefore, Japanese B&Bs that have been converted from ordinary houses into accommodations have entranceways that are designed for taking off shoes.

In Japanese hotels, if there is no step at the entrance, you don’t have to do.
In traditional ryokan, you are required to take off your shoes.
I have provided this information for your reference. Enjoy your trip to Japan!

  7. I've only been on the shinkansen once and went passed Mt.Fuji. I don't think I saw it. I've heard it's usually hard to see because of the weather. You guys had perfect weather and seats!!
Team Bidet!! It took me 3 or 4 years to use one when I first came here. No more mud butt in the gross summers! You can't beat the actually cleaning vs smearing poop off.

  8. My first time at Sydney Central made me quite confused too. Large train stations are really like palaces, grand but confusing. Going Tokyo next week!
